About: I have grown up around cats, dogs, and fish my whole life. I love taking care of animals and spending time with them. Being around animals is regulating for me. I love giving animals attention, however, I am, aware and respectful of animals who do not want to be touched or bothered. I don't mind spending a good amount of time with animals and ensuring all their needs are met. I have experience with all different types of dogs and cats. I am comfortable walking with dogs. I love spending time outdoors and going for walks. I work with families and go into different homes Monday-Friday. I am available on weekends and weeknights/lunches/early morning. I have owned and raised a Black Lab who is no longer with us named Pepper and a Coton De Tulear named Casey who has just passed. About: I have had animals in my home since I was 7 years old. I have had a variety of different animals, and along the way they have all left an imprint on my heart in there own way and have taught me many lessons. I currently live on a farm, and have many animals and experience with many different types of animals. I have taken two training courses, and now train all our own animals. I have also fostered in Calgary for 8 years before moving to the farm. I have specialized in rehabilitation, shy, abused, fearful, and neglected animals. I give these animals grace, a loving, soft and caring place to be able to find forever homes, and in some cases my home was home. I have had seniors, wounded, babies, and sick animals in my home. We have also had new births and babies on the farm. I am truly meant to be taking care of animals, definitely my calling. Now that my kids are grown I left the school system, and I am getting back to what I love. This along with my farm are my commitments. I can devote all the time needed to care for your fur family as required. I have a fully fenced 2 acre area for dogs to play. I do have a heated shop, and outdoor run available, that always are accessable. I have rooms in my home that when we take in dogs it's designated their space. Free roam is all day when home. But unless I need to leave, for the safety of your animals, a round wire area is designated for your pet. Will also depend on frequency and relationship built, these dynamics could change over time.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 7. Everything started at my grandma’s house where I used to pet sit her cat which led to me owning a cat and a dog at our house which I had to pet sit when my mom and dad were away. My loves for pets started growing since then and am currently doing it with for 2 years here in Rover. I do petsit for our friends when they go away for family vacations and this has been an amazing experience. About: I have worked at the Calgary humane society since 2021 where I volunteered in many departments (animal care, behaviour, cleaning duties, outreach, and education), and ended up with a job working as a birthday party facilitator for a while where I helped run birthday parties, youth camps, and clubs. I got my first dog in 2020, but grew up with dogs around my whole life. I had the opportunity to complete a dual credit veterinary assistant program through Olds college while I was still in high school where I learned a lot about caring for animals in many ways and earned a veterinary assistant certificate. I recently worked at a daycare/boarding facility, but it lacked the opportunity to truly bond with the dogs when I work with them, that’s the best part about working with animals, even though the other aspects are just as important! I have experience working with cats as well, I did a lot of cat work at the humane society, and worked on it in my vet assistant program too. I am also a huge enthusiast for exotic animals with a lizard of my own and a bunny in my family. I was working towards going to vet school, but recently decided I wanted to take a bit of a different road, and am hoping to attend veterinary technologist next spring, while working on some things in the meantime. I look forward to getting to work with you and your furry (or if you want, scaly or feathered) friends! I currently have a fairly open schedule, I am completing a virtual class, and have some volunteering that I do, but I am generally pretty available. My philosophy when working with animals is that it needs to be tailored to each individual animal and their owners, I currently live with my parents so might not have the opportunity to have the animal at my home, but there may be exceptions, if so, I have a dog that could play with them. I’m Rory, a full-time work-from-home sitter who cares for one family’s dogs at a time, so your dog gets focused attention and a predictable, low-stress stay. I’m home throughout the day and night, which means your dog is rarely alone. If I do step out briefly, it’s never for more than an hour, and I’m always happy to align with your dog’s routine and comfort level. ⸻ Daily routine, walks, and outdoor time We have a fully fenced backyard for regular outdoor breaks, play, and relaxed time outside. I’m also just two blocks from the Bow River pathway system, with paved and unpaved trails, hills, and quiet spots that are perfect for sniffing and exploring. Walks are tailored to the dog. That can mean a short 10-minute stroll, or longer 8 km loops (an hour or more) through the river paths and surrounding hills, depending on age, energy level, and preference. ⸻ A calm canine companion Your dog will share the space with Willow, my well-mannered senior Great Dane. She’s low-energy, gentle, and has spent now 3 years helping visiting dogs settle in comfortably. Her calm presence is especially helpful for dogs who benefit from a relaxed, steady environment while their owners are away. Because I only host one household at a time, the dynamic stays simple and manageable. ⸻ Experience and care approach I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals my entire life. I’m comfortable with puppies (typically not intact males), adult dogs, and seniors, and I’m happy to administer oral medications if needed. Dogs are welcome on furniture and can sleep in the same room as me. Crates are preferred for sleeping and downtime, and I can provide extra-large crates if requested, or use your own setup if that’s what your dog prefers. ⸻ Drop-ins and house checks In addition to boarding and daycare, I offer pet drop-ins and daytime house checks in south Calgary and northern Okotoks. These visits can include feeding, walks, companionship, plant watering, mail collection, and garbage day management. I work from home and can keep a 24/7 eye on your pet. When sitting we won’t be leaving them at home, and will take them on daily walks around the neighborhood, including the paved walkways along the Bow River in Riverstone. I work from home full-time and only look after one family’s dogs at a time, so pets get plenty of supervision and consistency. My home has a fully fenced yard for frequent outdoor breaks, and walks and playtime are always tailored to each dog’s needs. I closely follow feeding and care instructions, can give oral medications if needed, and send regular photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

Indoors, I love cuddle time and playful moments, and I’m also familiar with enrichment toys and puzzle feeders that keep pets mentally stimulated. Outdoors, I have energy for hours, and I enjoy long walks and hikes. I care for pets under 30lbs, or larger ones as long as they don’t pull.
