About: I have had animals in my home since I was 7 years old. I have had a variety of different animals, and along the way they have all left an imprint on my heart in there own way and have taught me many lessons. I currently live on a farm, and have many animals and experience with many different types of animals. I have taken two training courses, and now train all our own animals. I have also fostered in Calgary for 8 years before moving to the farm. I have specialized in rehabilitation, shy, abused, fearful, and neglected animals. I give these animals grace, a loving, soft and caring place to be able to find forever homes, and in some cases my home was home. I have had seniors, wounded, babies, and sick animals in my home. We have also had new births and babies on the farm. I am truly meant to be taking care of animals, definitely my calling. Now that my kids are grown I left the school system, and I am getting back to what I love. This along with my farm are my commitments. I can devote all the time needed to care for your fur family as required. I have a fully fenced 2 acre area for dogs to play. I do have a heated shop, and outdoor run available, that always are accessable. I have rooms in my home that when we take in dogs it's designated their space. Free roam is all day when home. But unless I need to leave, for the safety of your animals, a round wire area is designated for your pet. Will also depend on frequency and relationship built, these dynamics could change over time.
About: Hello! My name is Sara! I’ve had pets my entire life and enjoy caring for others in addition to my own. I have experience caring for cats and dogs of different sizes and breeds, including those with extra needs such as medications. I have one dog of my own named Willow, she is a black lab mix with a lot of energy. While I'm not able to host other dogs at my place, I'm more than happy to take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home. I have a regular day to day job that has me out of the house for 8 - 9 hours a day Monday through Friday. What care routine do you follow in your home? The routine you have set is what will be followed while I'm caring for your pets.
“Andrea is so kind and attentive. She took wonderful care of my cat and I felt completely at ease the whole time. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again highly recommend!”

About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 7. Everything started at my grandma’s house where I used to pet sit her cat which led to me owning a cat and a dog at our house which I had to pet sit when my mom and dad were away. I do petsit for our friends when they go away for family vacations and this has been an amazing experience. I do believe with my experience, we will be your perfect pet sitters🐶🐱 We are both working full-time and we are open to working weekdays and weekends too. We are in the house weekdays 5pm till 8am next morning and available in the house all day on weekends. We like going for walks and we can put your pets into our daily evening walks routine. About: As a dedicated pet lover with a deep passion for animals, being a pet sitter is not just a job for me, but a calling. I believe that pets are beloved members of our families, and they deserve the highest level of care and attention when their owners are away. With years of experience in pet care, including volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering animals in need, I have honed my skills in providing exceptional care for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. I understand the unique needs and personalities of different animals, and I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for them. One of my top priorities as a pet sitter is the health and safety of the pets in my care. That's why I require all pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations to ensure the well-being of both the visiting pets and those in my home. This policy ensures a healthy and secure environment for all furry guests. I have a very secure location in my house where they are allowed to roam freely in the house with my small yard. I prefer the environment where the client is more comfortable towards its furry being as I understand animals love to stay more where they have grown up. I'm open to stay at client's house for a day or two for house sitting. As a pet sitter, I offer a range of services tailored to the needs of each individual pet, including regular exercise, feeding, bathing, and administering medication if necessary. I am also skilled in handling emergencies giving pet owners peace of mind knowing that their beloved pets are in capable and caring hands. Above all, my motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my unwavering love and passion for animals. I am dedicated to providing the best care possible for pets, creating a stress-free and enjoyable experience for them, and building lasting relationships with both the pets and their owners. I’m currently working from home, as my job offers me a flexible environment to work which helps me fulfill my passion of taking care of pets. On weekends I’m free so I can take full time care. I work according to the client’s need as they know their children better. There are no restrictions in my house as the little ones will not be chained or caged unless required as per the clients request as I believe they should have their own freedom and should feel like home.
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I recently moved to Canada from Ukraine, while my own dog, Oskar, stayed back home with my family. I miss him every day, and caring for other dogs brings me so much joy and helps me feel connected to what I love most. I’ve spent years looking after Oskar as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always treat them with patience, kindness, and love. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Before and after work, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I’m available for overnight stays, evenings, weekends, and longer bookings. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and provide regular photo and message updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I believe every dog deserves to feel relaxed, loved, and at home while their family is away :)

“Hamsha was a great cat sitter and she got along really well with my cat. She understood his personality, provided very thoughtful and timely updates with photos every time, and was very happy to deal with unexpected events. Very responsive too — always answering messages pretty fast and doing punctual visits during the time agreed. It was also a breeze to arrange a time for keys dropoff + meet & greet :) I can't recommend her enough!”

“Dana was excellent We have 4 dogs and she came on Cmas day to our house which is quite far outside of the city limits-to check on them as well looked to make sure all the horses were accounted for as they are turned out. She went above and beyond and even left treats and toys for the dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Kateryna was amazing!! She was really flexible with last minute changes and caring with our cats. She really cared for them and made me feel better when I was away from them. We will make sure to book her again for our next trip. Thank you Kateryna!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
