About: Hello! My name is Sara! I’ve had pets my entire life and enjoy caring for others in addition to my own. I have experience caring for cats and dogs of different sizes and breeds, including those with extra needs such as medications. I have one dog of my own named Willow, she is a black lab mix with a lot of energy. While I'm not able to host other dogs at my place, I'm more than happy to take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home. I have a regular day to day job that has me out of the house for 8 - 9 hours a day Monday through Friday. What care routine do you follow in your home? I rescued and transported a lot of dogs and cats over the past few years, but the biggest undertaking was helping rescue a mother dog, who we later named Sally, and her 8 one-day-old puppies from a reserve in Alberta during -38°C temperatures. I transported this special fur family to my dog trainer's acreage where we set up a secure, safe, warm area. I learned how to care for them and help with early socialization, structure, and training to prepare them for life with their future families. Every puppy, and Sally herself, has since been adopted into loving, forever homes. Being part of something like this was definitely one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life! I also drive and have a valid driver’s license and insurance, which gives added peace of mind in case of an emergency. During visits and overnight stays, I’ll provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for.
