“We feel really lucky that we found Haley to look after our 12 year old shih zu bichon. Haley is very warm, friendly and super accommodating. Our dog has always stayed with family and this was the first time that we left him with someone else. We could tell by the updates and pictures that our dog Mercedes was being very well taken care of and loved. We have a dog that has a lot of quirks and aggressive tendencies towards men and walking on a leash, all of which was not a problem for Haley. Our dog is also on a raw diet, and Haley accommodated this with no problem. Our dog took quiet a liking to Haley and her family, he was in no rush to come home, which is a good sign that he was sincerely well cared for. We are very grateful to Haley that Mercedes experience was such a good one, and she will be the only one Mercedes stays with in the future. We don’t live close to Lake Bonavista, but the distance was worth our fur baby’s happiness!”

I currently live on a farm, and have many animals and experience with many different types of animals. I have taken two training courses, and now train all our own animals. I have also fostered in Calgary for 8 years before moving to the farm. I have specialized in rehabilitation, shy, abused, fearful, and neglected animals. I give these animals grace, a loving, soft and caring place to be able to find forever homes, and in some cases my home was home. I have had seniors, wounded, babies, and sick animals in my home. We have also had new births and babies on the farm. I am truly meant to be taking care of animals, definitely my calling. Now that my kids are grown I left the school system, and I am getting back to what I love. This along with my farm are my commitments. I can devote all the time needed to care for your fur family as required. I have a fully fenced 2 acre area for dogs to play. I do have a heated shop, and outdoor run available, that always are accessable. I have rooms in my home that when we take in dogs it's designated their space. Free roam is all day when home. She was able to accommodate our schedule, which was very appreciated. One of our cats can also get quite anxious when we are away, so requires attention and cuddles. About: I have plenty of experience housesitting for friends and looking after my own doggies. I love gardening and endeavour to keep plants happy. I like keeping my environment clean and tidy, and am more than happy to run any errands that are required in the owner's absence (e.g. scheduled grooming for pets, routine checkups, putting bins out etc.). I have volunteered with DRU (local animal shelter) in the past as part of the bird and chicken team - poultry are full on! About: Ever since I was a baby I’ve spent my life around animals from small to large, domestic to farm. I have always had a deep compassion for animals. As a child I always wanted to be around and with animals wanting to grow up working with them in any way. I have 5 years of experience working on a dairy farm and have worked at a doggy daycare. In 2023 I got my first puppy as an adult. Since then I have rescued 1, and had 2 rehomed to me as well. In my free time a few days a week I volunteer at the CHS taking dogs out for the day giving them a break from the shelter, showing them what everyday life looks like. Animals are already a huge part of my everyday life, so dog walking fits very naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule with availability every other week from 4:30pm–10:00pm, and on alternating weeks from 7:00am–10:00pm. I enjoy getting out for walks, spending time with dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away or busy. I always try to make pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking to their normal routines, giving them lots of attention, and making sure they feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. “We feel really lucky that we found Haley to look after our 12 year old shih zu bichon. Haley is very warm, friendly and super accommodating. Our dog has always stayed with family and this was the first time that we left him with someone else. We could tell by the updates and pictures that our dog Mercedes was being very well taken care of and loved. We have a dog that has a lot of quirks and aggressive tendencies towards men and walking on a leash, all of which was not a problem for Haley. Our dog is also on a raw diet, and Haley accommodated this with no problem. Our dog took quiet a liking to Haley and her family, he was in no rush to come home, which is a good sign that he was sincerely well cared for. We are very grateful to Haley that Mercedes experience was such a good one, and she will be the only one Mercedes stays with in the future.
