About: I grew up on a farm and have cared for all sorts of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, cows, & horses. As an adult, I’ve had dogs, birds, fish, and a snake! My husband and I lost our first boy a few years ago, but have recently adopted a sweet girl. We know the joy that animals bring, we always care for everyone’s pets as we would our own. I am available for walks a few days a week, or can drop in to care for an animal in your home while you’re away. I can come to your home to care for your pet while you’re away. I can send pictures & updates of your animals, clean up messes they may have made, take dogs for walks or play time in the yard, or spend time petting and playing with cats. If you have animals other than dogs or cats, I would be open to discuss care.
“Sandra is wonderful! Very responsive and took great care of our kitty cat! We will definitely be requesting her again and recommend her to anyone needing drop in care for their pets.”

“We had Carla come by to visit our cat a handful of times when we were out of town, this was the first time we used Rover and had a cat sitter and Carla was amazing! She provided great updates and photos and was very professional and kind. Will absolutely be booking her again”

About: Pets have been my world my entire life, from childhood companions to the furry family members who still fill my home today. I’m not just a sitter; I’m the person who notices every little tail wag, who sits on the floor for extra cuddles, and who gives undivided attention because your animals deserve to feel truly loved and secure. For years, friends, family, and neighbors have counted on me to care for their pets during long absences where I spend time walking, feeding, playing, and spoiling them for days (or even weeks) at a time. No rushed visits here: your pets get my full heart and focus, just like my own. Choose me for care that’s deeply personal, endlessly patient, and built on a lifetime of real animal love. Pet care fits seamlessly and joyfully into my daily and weekly routine because I have a highly flexible schedule that lets me put animals first, always. Even on days when I’m not pet sitting, I make time to prioritize my own beloved animals: curling up for long snuggle sessions, giving endless chin scratches, playing fetch, and sharing affectionate moments that keep our bond strong. This same level of devotion carries over to every pet I care for, whether it’s multiple visits for walks and play, overnight stays, or just being present for lap time and gentle attention. I’m never rushed or distracted; your animals get my full heart and focus, just like mine do at home. I provide all pet care exclusively in your home, so your cats, dogs, or other furry family members never have to face the stress of a new environment. They stay surrounded by their familiar scents, favorite toys, cozy spots, and daily routines. Safety and trust come first: I follow your instructions precisely, secure doors and windows, respect all household rules, and treat your home with the utmost care, leaving everything exactly as I found it (or even tidier). With my lifelong passion for animals, I create a calm, loving atmosphere filled with tailored attention, whether it’s energetic play and walks for dogs, gentle lap time and chin scratches for cats, fresh meals and water on schedule, potty breaks, litter box scooping, or just quiet companionship so they feel completely secure and adored while you’re away. Owners love how relaxed, happy, and content their pets remain, knowing their home and beloved animals are in truly trustworthy, attentive hands.
About: Now that I have your attention with that clever headline, I am a 30 year old flight attendant that has grown up with animals my whole life. From bunnies, to cats, to dogs, they aren't just pets to me, they are family. This is a great opportunity for me to spend time with your fur-babies while providing the same care and attention that I would give to my own. I love long walks and can't wait to explore new places while getting to know your animal's personality! Trusting a stranger with your pet isn't easy but I'm confident in my ability to truly connect and provide for your animal's specific needs until you're back home. I'm currently taking some time off from flying so I have open availability. Message me if you have any questions! With an open availability, I'm excited to create an on going relationship with you and your pet. Ideally I'd prefer morning/afternoon appointments but I am also open to evening if needed :) Since I don’t have a yard, I have decided it’s in your pets best interest to only offer dog walking services and care at your home.

We currently have 1 dog and 3 cats and have between 1-2 foster dogs I’m currently working full time but most of my work is done on Weekends or from home, so during the day during the week I’m usually pretty wide open I have a fenced yard. I take my dog and any foster dogs that are ready to the off leash parks in Okotoks. Also do leash walks with my dog as I feel it’s good for him to have leash manners as well as being able to have a free run at the dog park

I ensure the safety of both my clients animals and their house. I will always double check that the animals have what they need, are safe in the house and then make sure all windows and doors are locked before I leave.
About: I have loved animals since I was a kid. I used to volunteer at a animal shelter back in my hometown. Growing up i had a shitzu, chihuahua and two male tabby cats. I used to house sit for my brother who has a golden retriever, pitbull, two cats and 4 rabbits. I understand animal behavior and their needs. I am very patient and loving I am currently off work so my schedule is very flexible and will be for the entire year or two. But will give plenty of notice if there are any changes I have a fenced yard, lots of space inside for pets. Can provide nutritional homemade food and fresh water. I also have a golden retriever puppy to socialize with other pets
About: I have been a dog owner for 9+ years. I grew up having larger dogs- husky/wolf, St. Bernard, German Shepard and I now have a Bully/Ridgeback/mastiff & Black lab, Sharp Pei/bully! Over the years I have had the pleasure to be apart of a Dog foster program and had a handful of pups- including a momma dog and her puppies in our home. I have experience with bully breeds and labs! I am an EA during the school months and now that school is out for the Summer, I'm available 7 days a week for the months of July and August, morning to evenings! I’m a calm, reliable, and caring person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I’m the kind of person who shows up when I say I will. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with someone looking after your pet or entering your home, and I take that responsibility seriously. I aim to provide consistent, gentle care so your pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you're away or at work.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have never gone without having one by my side, so looking after them feels completely natural to me. While I was away at university, I even fostered a couple of dogs because I missed having that companionship so much it was incredibly rewarding to give them love and stability while they waited for their forever homes. I’m comfortable with a range of needs, from energetic puppies who benefit from consistent routines and basic training, to senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with every dog I care for as I treat them like my own. Recently, I lost my two dogs, and while I’m not quite ready to bring a new puppy into my home, caring for others’ pets feels like the perfect way to keep sharing that love, attention, and companionship that dogs deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority in my day. I’m currently working part-time with a chiropractic internship from Monday to Thursday, which still leaves me with plenty of time and energy to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available on weekdays after 4pm as well as on weekends, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. At my place, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time and supervised play. There is also one friendly 2-year-old Havanese (my parents’ dog), so I’m mindful of introductions and always make sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I can easily crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, or they’re welcome to have free roam of the house if preferred. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to create a trustworthy, secure environment where your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home.
About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life, from taking care of large cattle dogs to being in charge of walking my friend's toy breeds. Along with this I work with dogs on a daily basis at my job. I would be able to provide kind and informed care. I am currently working a part time job, usually from 9-5 ish. This is with a lunch break that could be used to check in on the household. I love to keep animals entertained and make sure they have a good time during the stress of their family being gone. By providing them this along with the genuine care I have for animals will be sure to make your away time as easy and comfortable as possible for your fur babies!
“McKenzie was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Dash and Betsy. She was extremely quick to respond, very friendly, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. It was clear she genuinely cared about our dogs, and they were happy and well looked after while in her care. Communication was excellent throughout, and we felt completely comfortable knowing Dash and Betsy were in such good hands. We will definitely be using McKenzie’s services again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
