“We feel really lucky that we found Haley to look after our 12 year old shih zu bichon. Haley is very warm, friendly and super accommodating. Our dog has always stayed with family and this was the first time that we left him with someone else. We could tell by the updates and pictures that our dog Mercedes was being very well taken care of and loved. We have a dog that has a lot of quirks and aggressive tendencies towards men and walking on a leash, all of which was not a problem for Haley. Our dog is also on a raw diet, and Haley accommodated this with no problem. Our dog took quiet a liking to Haley and her family, he was in no rush to come home, which is a good sign that he was sincerely well cared for. We are very grateful to Haley that Mercedes experience was such a good one, and she will be the only one Mercedes stays with in the future. About: I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life, my partner and I have been fostering dogs with Pound Rescue for 2 years. We currently have 1 dog and 3 cats and have between 1-2 foster dogs I’m currently working full time but most of my work is done on Weekends or from home, so during the day during the week I’m usually pretty wide open I have a fenced yard. I take my dog and any foster dogs that are ready to the off leash parks in Okotoks. About: I've had pets in my family ever since I can remember. My cat was called Ginger and was such a kind soul he'd snuggle up in the chair with me while I read books. I also got a rabbit called Smokey when I was 11. My dad made him a huge cage with mesh bottom so he could eat the grass and dandelions in the summer outside. When I left to visit a friend, he would hop over the whole house looking for me. Currently my kids are grown and I live in a small pet free property and I'm missing my furry friends. So I am experienced with special needs dogs, seniors, IVDD, manual bladder emptying, dog diapers, blindness, and palliative care. I am able to administer medications including injections and know CPR and what to do in other emergencies. My experiences have taught me empathy, how to serve selflessly and love unconditionally. When my last dog, who was a paraplegic, passed away I fostered a 4 year old female dachshund with IVDD and working with the rescue fully rehabilitated her. I adopted her (Marlo) in 2024 and she is a great hostess to our guest dogs. I get to meet so many perfect little souls and spend time giving them happy moments, comfort, and security while their moms and dads are at work or travelling. About: We had a family dog for the past 12 years. He passed last year and we are looking for short-term pet companionship before we consider getting another dog full time. Full time work from home. We walk daily and are very active. I have the kids every other week and would like to sit a pet when they are here (and occasionally when they are not). Recently, I lost my two dogs, and while I’m not quite ready to bring a new puppy into my home, caring for others’ pets feels like the perfect way to keep sharing that love, attention, and companionship that dogs deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority in my day. I’m currently working part-time with a chiropractic internship from Monday to Thursday, which still leaves me with plenty of time and energy to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available on weekdays after 4pm as well as on weekends, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. There is also one friendly 2-year-old Havanese (my parents’ dog), so I’m mindful of introductions and always make sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I can easily crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, or they’re welcome to have free roam of the house if preferred. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. “We feel really lucky that we found Haley to look after our 12 year old shih zu bichon. Haley is very warm, friendly and super accommodating. Our dog has always stayed with family and this was the first time that we left him with someone else. We could tell by the updates and pictures that our dog Mercedes was being very well taken care of and loved. We have a dog that has a lot of quirks and aggressive tendencies towards men and walking on a leash, all of which was not a problem for Haley. Our dog is also on a raw diet, and Haley accommodated this with no problem. Our dog took quiet a liking to Haley and her family, he was in no rush to come home, which is a good sign that he was sincerely well cared for. We are very grateful to Haley that Mercedes experience was such a good one, and she will be the only one Mercedes stays with in the future.
