“It was a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that Whitney was there to spend time with our fur babies while we were away. Whitney was great with sending us updates and pictures.”

About: Now that I have your attention with that clever headline, I am a 30 year old flight attendant that has grown up with animals my whole life. From bunnies, to cats, to dogs, they aren't just pets to me, they are family. This is a great opportunity for me to spend time with your fur-babies while providing the same care and attention that I would give to my own. I love long walks and can't wait to explore new places while getting to know your animal's personality! Trusting a stranger with your pet isn't easy but I'm confident in my ability to truly connect and provide for your animal's specific needs until you're back home. I'm currently taking some time off from flying so I have open availability. Message me if you have any questions! With an open availability, I'm excited to create an on going relationship with you and your pet. Ideally I'd prefer morning/afternoon appointments but I am also open to evening if needed :) Since I don’t have a yard, I have decided it’s in your pets best interest to only offer dog walking services and care at your home.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life, my partner and I have been fostering dogs with Pound Rescue for 2 years. We currently have 1 dog and 3 cats and have between 1-2 foster dogs I’m currently working full time but most of my work is done on Weekends or from home, so during the day during the week I’m usually pretty wide open I have a fenced yard. I take my dog and any foster dogs that are ready to the off leash parks in Okotoks. Also do leash walks with my dog as I feel it’s good for him to have leash manners as well as being able to have a free run at the dog park
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have never gone without having one by my side, so looking after them feels completely natural to me. While I was away at university, I even fostered a couple of dogs because I missed having that companionship so much it was incredibly rewarding to give them love and stability while they waited for their forever homes. I’m comfortable with a range of needs, from energetic puppies who benefit from consistent routines and basic training, to senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with every dog I care for as I treat them like my own. Recently, I lost my two dogs, and while I’m not quite ready to bring a new puppy into my home, caring for others’ pets feels like the perfect way to keep sharing that love, attention, and companionship that dogs deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority in my day. I’m currently working part-time with a chiropractic internship from Monday to Thursday, which still leaves me with plenty of time and energy to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available on weekdays after 4pm as well as on weekends, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. At my place, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time and supervised play. There is also one friendly 2-year-old Havanese (my parents’ dog), so I’m mindful of introductions and always make sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I can easily crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, or they’re welcome to have free roam of the house if preferred. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to create a trustworthy, secure environment where your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home.

Please feel free to reach out if you’re looking for reliable dog walking, pet sitting, or drop-in care — I’d be happy to chat! I’m currently out of school for the summer, so I have plenty of time to hang out with your furry friends! I strive to build trust with every animal I work with so they feel secure and well cared for, while also giving owners confidence and peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands during times of need.
About: I have been helping my friends and family with their animals since I was 15 years old. I have a passion for animals and it continues to grow as I get older. I am comfortable with all dogs and cats of any breads. I am a certified dog trainer and groomer and am even comfortable with dispensing of medications the animals need. I am currently working full time from Monday-Friday. However, I have open availability on weekdays in the evenings and on the weekends. I have a trusted and reliable vehicle to ensure proper transportation to and from clients houses. I am a very trusted and responsible individual. I ensure the safety of both my clients animals and their house. I will always double check that the animals have what they need, are safe in the house and then make sure all windows and doors are locked before I leave.
About: Hello! My name is Thomas, but I prefer to go by Wolfgang. I’ve had the privilege of caring for many of my own pets over the years, giving me hands‑on experience with dogs at every life stage—from energetic puppies to gentle senior companions. I have owned and raised a Black Lab who is no longer with us named Pepper and a Coton De Tulear named Casey who has just passed. I currently am the owner of a outgoing Cockatiel name Claire so my experience is broad. I am looking to show the same care in your home as I have given them. I’m an active person, and I make it a priority to ensure your pets receive the attention, enrichment, and care they need to thrive both physically and mentally. I look forward to hearing how I can help make yours and your pets days easier. I am lucky enough to have a flexible schedule depending on my clients needs and I am open to arranging my time to best accomdate the pets I care for. I pride myself on my work and the care I am able to provide. I am working on completing a Dog and Cat First Aid course through the Red Cross. My goal is to treat your home as if it were my own, keeping it neat, cared for and comfortable for your pets. I will make sure the home is locked and secured as needed for every visit.
“My pets loved Valeriia from the moment she walked in the door at our meet and greet. They were well taken care of while I was away and she was very attentive to their needs. She sent thorough updates and great photos so I could stay up to date on how they were doing. Looking forward to booking with Valeriia again!”

“Nicole was great. They took good care of my cat and kept me updated with messages and pics. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in good hands. I'd definitely book with them again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10, neighbors and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and take care of their pets. There were a few times where I took care of 4 cats and 2 dogs for a month while my friends were on vacation. I currently work from home and have very flexible hours, day or night, last minute or days in advance. I will be able to come take care of your pets. I have been around dogs my whole life so I know how to read their body language and make decisions about what they may need or want. I am comfortable handling a nervous or aggressive dog.
About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my genuine love for animals and my firsthand experience as both a pet owner and pet sitter. As a previous pet owner, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and caring to look after your pets. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, administering basic care, providing companionship, and maintaining their routines to help them feel comfortable while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, taking the time to learn their personality, needs, and preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their furry family members are happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. As a rotational worker, I have two weeks off at a time, which gives me the flexibility and availability to dedicate quality time to caring for pets. During my time off, I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals through dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits. Having been a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of maintaining consistent feeding, exercise, play, and companionship routines to keep pets happy and comfortable. I tailor my care to each pet's needs and the service being provided. For dog walking, I ensure pets get safe exercise, fresh water, and plenty of attention. For drop-in visits, I follow the owner's instructions for feeding, medication (if required), litter box cleaning, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. For pet sitting in a client's home, I maintain the pet's normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress, including feeding schedules, walks, exercise, and lots of affection. As a former pet owner and experienced dog and cat sitter, I understand the importance of reliability, patience, and keeping owners updated on their pet's well-being.
“Dana was excellent We have 4 dogs and she came on Cmas day to our house which is quite far outside of the city limits-to check on them as well looked to make sure all the horses were accounted for as they are turned out. She went above and beyond and even left treats and toys for the dogs. Highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
