“Our 5-year-old Pippin was a happy camper during his first holiday at Sandra’s and Jessie’s. He had, of course, met both of them at the ‘meet and greet’ at their home, but what really surprised us was how excited he was when we dropped him off. He knew precisely where we had taken him and he raced up their front steps and started barking with excitement at the front door. Clearly, Sandra and Jessie and their very sweet dog Daisy had made a great first impression! Both Sandra and Jessie are dog lovers and dog carers par excellence and that put Pippin and us at ease. Throughout Pippin’s two-week stay, Sandra sent us daily updates with photos, which was fun and informative. Pippin is an extremely well-behaved dog, so much so he never jumps on furniture (despite all our encouragement), but Sandra has a secret weapon—dog stairs for couch access!—and she taught Pippin how to use them. When I went to pick up Pippin, he was very excited to see me—lots of licks!—but he also turned to Sandra to give her licks, too, as if to say ‘thank you’. We have no doubt that Pippin will be delighted to spend more time with Sandra, Jessie and Daisy in the future!”

I’m Rory, a full-time work-from-home sitter who cares for one family’s dogs at a time, so your dog gets focused attention and a predictable, low-stress stay. About: Ever since I was a baby I’ve spent my life around animals from small to large, domestic to farm. I have always had a deep compassion for animals. As a child I always wanted to be around and with animals wanting to grow up working with them in any way. I have 5 years of experience working on a dairy farm and have worked at a doggy daycare. In 2023 I got my first puppy as an adult. Since then I have rescued 1, and had 2 rehomed to me as well. In my free time a few days a week I volunteer at the CHS taking dogs out for the day giving them a break from the shelter, showing them what everyday life looks like. Animals are already a huge part of my everyday life, so dog walking fits very naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule with availability every other week from 4:30pm–10:00pm, and on alternating weeks from 7:00am–10:00pm. I enjoy getting out for walks, spending time with dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away or busy. Because I have my own Brittany Spaniel, I already have a daily routine of walks, feeding times, and making sure dogs get plenty of attention and exercise. I just need to make sure I’m home in the evenings for my dog’s dinner, but I’m very open to working out schedules that work well for everyone. About: I’ve had 5 dogs in my household since I was born. I trained 2 out of the five as I got older. I have pet sitted before and I have an absolute love for dogs. Currently we have adopted a puppy from fostering, we absolutely love her! We don’t know the breed or how big she will get but she’s been an absolute delight in our household! About: I have had animals in my home since I was 7 years old. I have had a variety of different animals, and along the way they have all left an imprint on my heart in there own way and have taught me many lessons. I currently live on a farm, and have many animals and experience with many different types of animals. I have taken two training courses, and now train all our own animals. I have also fostered in Calgary for 8 years before moving to the farm. I have specialized in rehabilitation, shy, abused, fearful, and neglected animals. I give these animals grace, a loving, soft and caring place to be able to find forever homes, and in some cases my home was home. I have had seniors, wounded, babies, and sick animals in my home. I do have a heated shop, and outdoor run available, that always are accessable. I have rooms in my home that when we take in dogs it's designated their space. Free roam is all day when home. But unless I need to leave, for the safety of your animals, a round wire area is designated for your pet. Will also depend on frequency and relationship built, these dynamics could change over time.

About: I've fostered dogs, took care of neighbors animals and done dog walking. I have my own yellow lab who is my emotional support girl! I love puppies and senior dogs and all ages in between. About: I love dogs! I've had years of experience with my previous two dogs. I grew up with a wonderful cocker spaniel and a very active golden retriever, Curerntly I am beeing called "Auntie Danny" as I help as much as I can with my roommates and best friend dogs (An American Bully, a Westie and two rescue dogs from Peru) This said I can handle different type of breeds, very active and playful dogs or smaller ones as well. I’m currently on a break from my job so my schedule is completely free from day time to night time! So i’m available whenever is needed!
