“Our 5-year-old Pippin was a happy camper during his first holiday at Sandra’s and Jessie’s. He had, of course, met both of them at the ‘meet and greet’ at their home, but what really surprised us was how excited he was when we dropped him off. He knew precisely where we had taken him and he raced up their front steps and started barking with excitement at the front door. Clearly, Sandra and Jessie and their very sweet dog Daisy had made a great first impression! Both Sandra and Jessie are dog lovers and dog carers par excellence and that put Pippin and us at ease. Throughout Pippin’s two-week stay, Sandra sent us daily updates with photos, which was fun and informative. Pippin is an extremely well-behaved dog, so much so he never jumps on furniture (despite all our encouragement), but Sandra has a secret weapon—dog stairs for couch access!—and she taught Pippin how to use them. When I went to pick up Pippin, he was very excited to see me—lots of licks!—but he also turned to Sandra to give her licks, too, as if to say ‘thank you’. We have no doubt that Pippin will be delighted to spend more time with Sandra, Jessie and Daisy in the future!”

About: I have a 2 year old silver dapple dachshund at home named Rupert who’s my little boy! My husband and I have fostered dogs in the past but figured this would be a nice way to help people out and get to meet new dogs in the area. Our little guy is super friendly and outgoing with other pets/people and gets walked 3 times a day! If your dog isn't super fond of other dogs we also have ways of separating them. I work as a full time photographer so I work from home most of the time and would be with the dogs able to supervise them for their entire visit. About: My pet care experience started 10 years ago - my dad took me to his best friends house and they told me their dog loved going on adventures but they weren’t able to get out much. From there I started pickup him up for walks and hikes, and eventually I ended up pet sitting a bunch of different times. My favourite memory was when he hopped the fence and ran next door and waited for me at the basement suite door because he knew I was cleaning it. We became inseparable! Sometimes, I have friends who takes their dogs to stay with me, while they are away. My dog is friendly, he is get along well with any other dog. I'm a stay home mom with 2 kids, 9 and 7 years old. They are very gentle with our dog. We have medium fence yard that would be enough for dog to do their business, play and run around. I am mostly at home every day, except if I am out for taking my kids to their courses/activity. I walk my dog everyday even on winter time, so more dogs to come walk with us is no big deal. About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.

About: Currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. I’ve grown up around animals of my own my whole life while living rurally - ranging from bunnies, to chickens, to cats and dogs and goats - so in terms of pets of my own, I have lots of experience with a variety of animals. About: I have a 2 year old silver dapple dachshund at home named Rupert who’s my little boy! My husband and I have fostered dogs in the past but figured this would be a nice way to help people out and get to meet new dogs in the area. Our little guy is super friendly and outgoing with other pets/people and gets walked 3 times a day! If your dog isn't super fond of other dogs we also have ways of separating them. I work as a full time photographer so I work from home most of the time and would be with the dogs able to supervise them for their entire visit. I currently work full time from home so I'm able to watch your pup 24/7 and keep on top of walking and playing with them! I take my dog on 3 walks a day and out every 2 hours for a bathroom break. Dogs are allowed to roam freely through my house and are aloud on my couch! I have a big park across the street from my house where I talk my own dog for walks.
