“Stephanie and James had a great first day sit with our young puppy. They took great care, sent lots of updates and were flexible with arrangements. Really pleased.”

“Amazing service from amazing people. Easy and fast communication. Loves dogs as her own. Plenty of updates on how happy the dogs are Will continue to use without hesitation. Thank you”

“Unfortunately, my dog has anxiety which defeated her today, so she wasn't able to stay for the day. But Amber tried really hard to calm her, and in a different circumstance, I would absolutely entrust a dog to her. She was very patient and understanding and communicated well with me.”

“JoAnn has been great for Otto and treats him well. JoAnn communicates well how he does in her home. She recently had Otto and her dog on a walk with a double leash which went well. Thanks for your consistency as well!”

“This is a Eliza’s first experience of being away from home. She’s been here for the last three Sundays. She really loves it and is treated very well. We no longer have any anxiety about leaving her in a doggy daycare. Thanks.”

“Ziying was flexible, fast to respond and sent so many pictures. She gave exceptional care to our pup, putting her at ease and giving her lots of time to play fetch (a favourite!). Highly recommend!”

About: WE HAVE A NEW PUPPY! Rover services are paused until he has completed vaccines and house-training. Returning mid-June. Thank you for your patience. I love four-legged fur family members and have been fortunate enough to own several different dogs from puppyhood to senior age. Over twenty years experience WE HAVE A PUPPY! Rover services paused until puppy is done vaccines and training. I work from home full time. We have a large goofy orange ginger cat who loves dogs and someone to play with. I have a fully fenced backyard with a calm, tidy, pet-friendly home with air-conditioning. Toys to play with and “treats” for being “a really good boi/girl”. BOARDING: For boarding, I require a meet & greet at my home first to make sure all pets are comfortable together. Boarding is only offered after a successful introduction. Meet and greet is free of charge.
“Camille was just wonderful with our dog Piper. Communication was excellent the whole day long. We received pictures and a video. If Camille was uncertain about anything like when to feed Piper she checked first. I also appreciated that she asked for my Vet contact update and about any allergies or injuries she should be aware of. I would certainly recommend Camille.”

“As soon as I passed over the leash with Neo he didn’t even look back. It was like the first day of kindergarten all over again. He was excited to see me at pick up time but as soon as we’re in the car, he’s having a nap. That’s a good sign of a good day! Thank you, Jeanette and Ferris and the kitties too.”

“I found the home to be a very calm and gentle environment for Macaron's first day long stay, and the host and hostess to be very kind and caring individuals. Macaron does not typically walk for long distances for a new host, though on a very cold day, it is still good for Macaron to be outside, even if just for a little while. He loves the snow! Nicholas seems to quite knowledgeable about what a new dog visitor to the home might need to feel comfortable there, which was also a comfort to me. Thank you. It was a good day for us both.”

“We were very impressed with them right at the meet and greet. They gave us all the information we needed without us having to probe and asked us a lot of questions to get to know our dog. We could tell that they are not just “sitters”, but professional dog handlers. We were worried that our high energy 6 month old puppy may cause some trouble on his first day but he seems to have done so well with Amy and the fellow dogs. Amy sent me a video of him playing with a new friend right after the drop-off to put my worrying at ease. She continued to send me pictures, videos and messages throughout the day, which helped me tremendously. He came home very happy and tired (good thing!) so we even had extra time to ourselves afterwards 😆 They do not only just “watch” our dog but are willing to train him and share their knowledge with us. I highly recommend Catriona and Amy to anyone. Many of the Rover sitters are great, but their place is different - it’s like sending your dogs to a great team of dog trainers! We will definitely go back to them on a regular basis.”

“Gina accepted Ginger into day care at a very short notice . From communication to drop and pickup , everything was really smooth . Gina updated us with photos of Ginger every few hours and Ginger really liked being at Gina”s. Thank you .”

“Zephyr was excited to stay with Margarita and puppy friends. She was very accommodating with last minute changes to drop off and pick up which were unexpected. Thank you so much for the pictures and flexibility. Much appreciated!”

“My pup had never been to doggy daycare before and I’m new to it as well. Anna made our first experience amazing. She is very communicative, patient and kind. It is clear that she has a heart for animals and their humans. She made me and Lola feel at ease. I highly recommend her!”

“I was very happy with how Tayler and Max took care of Pluto how is very shy, anxious and not a social dog. I was such a relief to see Pluto was enjoying his walks with Hartley. This was my first time but I will definitely use their services again. For a pet parent, nothing matters more than seeing someone taking care of your baby while you are away and Tayler and Max understood the assignment so well.”

“Jeongah and hung were very friendly and understanding that I was not able to make it on time to drop Joy off. They send updates and photos during the time they were taking care of him. Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bragg Creek commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
