“Stephanie and James had a great first day sit with our young puppy. They took great care, sent lots of updates and were flexible with arrangements. Really pleased.”

“Tommy was well taken care off and they made sure to know everything about him to be able to accommodate him best. They care lots for him and I appreciate that. I loved to see Tommy’s day care pictures and was updated on how he was doing during his stay. Thank you guys!”

“Could not ask for a better place to bring my dogs and know that they are getting everything that they need and more. They love going there. Will continue to use all the time. Thank you again.”

“Most wonderful couple ever on rover !!! They took such great care of Chips, even though we had specific instructions they were very accommodating! Chips loved them so much that we said their name and he recognized them hehehe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“My pup had never been to doggy daycare before and I’m new to it as well. Anna made our first experience amazing. She is very communicative, patient and kind. It is clear that she has a heart for animals and their humans. She made me and Lola feel at ease. I highly recommend her!”

“Roary has been very comfortable with Brianna and her family. She was quite happy to return for her 2nd sit. Brianna is very communicative and keeps you updated on your furry creature.”

“Kelly was absolutely wonderful with our sweet Miss Remi! She took such great care of her, and Remi clearly had a great day! I would highly recommend Kelly! She clearly loves dogs, and was so calm and lovely!”

“Tracy was amazing to deal with stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process. This was my first time using the app and she made me super comfortable. Did a wonderful job with him. He got up to lots of activities. I would highly recommend and will definitely use Tracy moving forward.”

“We were very impressed with them right at the meet and greet. They gave us all the information we needed without us having to probe and asked us a lot of questions to get to know our dog. We could tell that they are not just “sitters”, but professional dog handlers. We were worried that our high energy 6 month old puppy may cause some trouble on his first day but he seems to have done so well with Amy and the fellow dogs. Amy sent me a video of him playing with a new friend right after the drop-off to put my worrying at ease. She continued to send me pictures, videos and messages throughout the day, which helped me tremendously. He came home very happy and tired (good thing!) so we even had extra time to ourselves afterwards 😆 They do not only just “watch” our dog but are willing to train him and share their knowledge with us. I highly recommend Catriona and Amy to anyone. Many of the Rover sitters are great, but their place is different - it’s like sending your dogs to a great team of dog trainers! We will definitely go back to them on a regular basis.”

About: As a life-long dog owner, I enjoy spending time with any and all 4-legged creatures. My resident dog, Ellie, is high-needs and high-maintenance which has allowed us to create an ultra-safe, heavily monitored home for anxiety-prone dogs or mischief seekers. Ellie's energy levels won't match that of younger or more playful pups. She'll play when the feeling strikes her, but otherwise she's very indifferent and will keep to herself. So if your dog get's really excited around furry friends, we may not be the best option. I've used this dog-sitting service myself, and can understand the stress that can come with trusting another person with your most prized possession. I promise to do my best in maintaining regular communication and will diligently follow special instructions. My partner and I both work remotely, which allows us to be home most of the time. Your pup can free-roam during the work day and we will provide walks/enrichment in the evening and on weekends. We have a fenced yard that borders a dog park. We take our dogs on minimum 2 walks per day. We will respect whatever meal times you have arranged with your dog. We have a variety of enrichment toys to keep them entertained, as well. We will always keep your dog on-leash unless you explicitly approve off-leash walks.
“Kindly receive this letter as a thank you note for being the best pet sitter ever. We appreciate your efforts and the time you took to look for my dog Nani while I was away. It’s so amazing that you took great care of our dog as if it was your own. You will be forever in my heart. I look forward to meeting you again in the future.”

“Mariel & Bram took wonderful care of our puppy while we were out skiing! They were so kind and caring, and we loved all the updates and photos throughout the day. It gave us great peace of mind. And their dog Pepe is very cute! We would absolutely recommend them.”

“Our Pibe had a terrific time with Jeff and his dogs! I know this because he went to his bed once we got home and slept like a baby. Also, we couldn't ask for better updates than the ones Jeff sent us. We got awesome updates with adorable pictures and videos. We truly appreciate it. Pibe had a great time, and as FurParents, it was a positive experience from beginning to end. Thank you, Jeff for looking after our Pibe,”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bragg Creek commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
