“Yonathan and Lezette were awesome! They looked after our Murphy on very short notice, followed all of our instructions for his restricted diet, took lots of photos, and even took him on an extra walk. We would love to work with them again!”

About: Hi, I’m Kelsey! I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I was lucky to share 14 wonderful years with my own dog, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge three years ago. While I miss having a dog of my own, caring for other people’s pets has become a meaningful way to keep animals in my life. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and flexibility throughout the day. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I live near some of Calgary’s best green spaces, including Sue Higgins Park, Carburn Park, and Beaverdam Flats—perfect locations for walks, sniffing adventures, and exploring the outdoors. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains, camping, and travelling. On the occasional weekend, you’ll find me happily staying home and enjoying a quieter pace. Because I don’t currently have pets of my own, your furry family member will receive my full attention while they’re in my care. I also have experience caring for cats and absolutely adore them. Whether your companion barks, purrs, chirps, or meows, I’ll treat them as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I work from home, so I am able to provide full day care. I understand the importance of different needs for pets, whether it be physical needs or behavioural preferences. I have experience providing car to animals requiring medication, my former senior dog required daily medications. It is important to have regular bathroom breaks and walks, I am able to assist in ensuring your pet gets its daily needs met.
“Jeffery and family provided exceptional care for my dog. I was provided with pictures, great communication and they were flexable with timing. I would hightly recommend them!”

“A very experienced sitter. Christine is very organized with the dogs in her care. Mya and Decca were well taken care of and her husband helps out with care and cuddles as well. Nice home environment. 😍”

“We had an amazing experience with Max’s daycare! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear he was in caring, responsible, and loving hands. Max came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which says everything. Communication was excellent, updates were reassuring, and it’s obvious that they genuinely love what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy daycare for their dog.”

“Don was excellent with our 2 babies, she sent numerous update and pictures, and made us feel very comfortable with her service. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing care for their pets. Thank you so much Don for the great care.”

“Jolene is wonderful-- very loving and patient for my year old puppy who is on a learning curve. I actually chose Jolene because she has a daughter who I just knew Steiner would love playing. This was the perfect care option for Steiner. Thank you, Jolene and Lucy”

“Jessica and Alvin were amazing!! She sent great photo updates throughout the day and brought our dogs on a nice long walk adventure, dropping them off to us happy and tuckered out. We will definitely be booking with her again, highly recommend:)”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your High River commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
