About: We have over a decade of hands on experience caring for dogs at all stages of life, from energetic pups to seniors who need a little extra care and attention. We’re comfortable caring for senior dogs with arthritis or mobility challenges, including administering medications, helping with lifting when needed, and recognizing when a dog needs to slow down, rest, or have a quieter day. Most of my dogs were fairly close in age so they were young together and they grew old together. I had the joy of a pack and I have seen and learned so much through the lifetimes of six dogs, one of which was a paraplegic with IVDD. So I am experienced with special needs dogs, seniors, IVDD, manual bladder emptying, dog diapers, blindness, and palliative care. I am able to administer medications including injections and know CPR and what to do in other emergencies. My experiences have taught me empathy, how to serve selflessly and love unconditionally. When my last dog, who was a paraplegic, passed away I fostered a 4 year old female dachshund with IVDD and working with the rescue fully rehabilitated her. I adopted her (Marlo) in 2024 and she is a great hostess to our guest dogs. I get to meet so many perfect little souls and spend time giving them happy moments, comfort, and security while their moms and dads are at work or travelling. I am extremely capable with seniors and special needs dogs because I understand them and what they need medically, physically, and emotionally. All dogs hold a special place in my heart. About: Ever since I was a baby I’ve spent my life around animals from small to large, domestic to farm. I have always had a deep compassion for animals. As a child I always wanted to be around and with animals wanting to grow up working with them in any way. I have 5 years of experience working on a dairy farm and have worked at a doggy daycare.
