“Andre was consistent in his care for Tucker, ensuring his meds were administered on time and his food and water were fresh. His love of pets shows and I’d definitely use his services again.”

“We cannot say enough good things about Ana! We were in a pickle finding someone to watch and feed our cat Zantar. He needs his insulin twice a day so it's a huge ask. Ana had no problem doing the insulin needles and being able to come twice a day. Ana was so friendly, and I immediately felt comfortable when we did a meet & greet. She sent us update messages throughout the week and was easy to contact. We will definitely use her again in the future :) :) Thank you again Ana!”

About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.
About: Having senior pets takes an incredible amount of compassion and patience. I have personally had several pets live beyond their years due to a lot of love and attention to behaviours that communicate their needs (meds, food, grooming, love, attention, exercise, play, rest) Monday to Friday, I am available from 4pm daily and overnight until 7am. I have weekends and school holidays available to care for pets full time. At the client's home, I provide for the physical and emotional needs of the pets- food, water, any medications, cages and litter cleaning and play/exercise, basic grooming. Owners provide sensory toys, games and treats so I can engage their pets and provide a stimulating environment.
About: I've taken care of high energy dogs all through my life, I grew up on a ranch West of Granum AB and currently have my daughter in canine 4-H. I have also had cats and I have a Corgi Heeler Cross (Cowboy Corgi) who is 3 yrs old I currently work full time from home and looking to start a part time business with flexible hours and the ability to make additional money I have a fenced in back yard and kenneling available. My dog is good with others and I have a kennel available. I also go to dog parks regularly
“Dana was excellent We have 4 dogs and she came on Cmas day to our house which is quite far outside of the city limits-to check on them as well looked to make sure all the horses were accounted for as they are turned out. She went above and beyond and even left treats and toys for the dogs. Highly recommend!”

About: Welcome to your dog’s second home in Cranston’s Riverstone. I’m Rory, a full-time work-from-home sitter who cares for one family’s dogs at a time, so your dog gets focused attention and a predictable, low-stress stay. I’m home throughout the day and night, which means your dog is rarely alone. If I do step out briefly, it’s never for more than an hour, and I’m always happy to align with your dog’s routine and comfort level. ⸻ Daily routine, walks, and outdoor time We have a fully fenced backyard for regular outdoor breaks, play, and relaxed time outside. I’m also just two blocks from the Bow River pathway system, with paved and unpaved trails, hills, and quiet spots that are perfect for sniffing and exploring. Walks are tailored to the dog. That can mean a short 10-minute stroll, or longer 8 km loops (an hour or more) through the river paths and surrounding hills, depending on age, energy level, and preference. ⸻ A calm canine companion Your dog will share the space with Willow, my well-mannered senior Great Dane. She’s low-energy, gentle, and has spent now 3 years helping visiting dogs settle in comfortably. Her calm presence is especially helpful for dogs who benefit from a relaxed, steady environment while their owners are away. Because I only host one household at a time, the dynamic stays simple and manageable. ⸻ Experience and care approach I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals my entire life. I’m comfortable with puppies (typically not intact males), adult dogs, and seniors, and I’m happy to administer oral medications if needed. Dogs are welcome on furniture and can sleep in the same room as me. Crates are preferred for sleeping and downtime, and I can provide extra-large crates if requested, or use your own setup if that’s what your dog prefers. ⸻ Drop-ins and house checks In addition to boarding and daycare, I offer pet drop-ins and daytime house checks in south Calgary and northern Okotoks. These visits can include feeding, walks, companionship, plant watering, mail collection, and garbage day management. I work from home and can keep a 24/7 eye on your pet. When sitting we won’t be leaving them at home, and will take them on daily walks around the neighborhood, including the paved walkways along the Bow River in Riverstone. I work from home full-time and only look after one family’s dogs at a time, so pets get plenty of supervision and consistency. My home has a fully fenced yard for frequent outdoor breaks, and walks and playtime are always tailored to each dog’s needs. I closely follow feeding and care instructions, can give oral medications if needed, and send regular photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Sara has been wonderful! We adopted a rescue who takes time to warm up to people and he gravitated to her right away. He is still learning his new space and Sara has been working with me to help him with that, especially when on leash outside. I was so nervous about this whole process but Sara has set my mind at ease with it all. I will continue to book her services as long as she is available!”

About: Pets have been my world my entire life, from childhood companions to the furry family members who still fill my home today. I’m not just a sitter; I’m the person who notices every little tail wag, who sits on the floor for extra cuddles, and who gives undivided attention because your animals deserve to feel truly loved and secure. For years, friends, family, and neighbors have counted on me to care for their pets during long absences where I spend time walking, feeding, playing, and spoiling them for days (or even weeks) at a time. No rushed visits here: your pets get my full heart and focus, just like my own. Choose me for care that’s deeply personal, endlessly patient, and built on a lifetime of real animal love. Pet care fits seamlessly and joyfully into my daily and weekly routine because I have a highly flexible schedule that lets me put animals first, always. Even on days when I’m not pet sitting, I make time to prioritize my own beloved animals: curling up for long snuggle sessions, giving endless chin scratches, playing fetch, and sharing affectionate moments that keep our bond strong. This same level of devotion carries over to every pet I care for, whether it’s multiple visits for walks and play, overnight stays, or just being present for lap time and gentle attention. I’m never rushed or distracted; your animals get my full heart and focus, just like mine do at home. I provide all pet care exclusively in your home, so your cats, dogs, or other furry family members never have to face the stress of a new environment. They stay surrounded by their familiar scents, favorite toys, cozy spots, and daily routines. Safety and trust come first: I follow your instructions precisely, secure doors and windows, respect all household rules, and treat your home with the utmost care, leaving everything exactly as I found it (or even tidier). With my lifelong passion for animals, I create a calm, loving atmosphere filled with tailored attention, whether it’s energetic play and walks for dogs, gentle lap time and chin scratches for cats, fresh meals and water on schedule, potty breaks, litter box scooping, or just quiet companionship so they feel completely secure and adored while you’re away. Owners love how relaxed, happy, and content their pets remain, knowing their home and beloved animals are in truly trustworthy, attentive hands.
“Kateryna was amazing!! She was really flexible with last minute changes and caring with our cats. She really cared for them and made me feel better when I was away from them. We will make sure to book her again for our next trip. Thank you Kateryna!!”

About: I have been helping my friends and family with their animals since I was 15 years old. I have a passion for animals and it continues to grow as I get older. I am comfortable with all dogs and cats of any breads. I am a certified dog trainer and groomer and am even comfortable with dispensing of medications the animals need. I am currently working full time from Monday-Friday. However, I have open availability on weekdays in the evenings and on the weekends. I have a trusted and reliable vehicle to ensure proper transportation to and from clients houses. I am a very trusted and responsible individual. I ensure the safety of both my clients animals and their house. I will always double check that the animals have what they need, are safe in the house and then make sure all windows and doors are locked before I leave.
About: I've fostered dogs, took care of neighbors animals and done dog walking. I have my own yellow lab who is my emotional support girl! I love puppies and senior dogs and all ages in between. I have lots of time for lunch walks, after work walks or play and can most definitely do weekends and have your fur baby stay with me too I take my dog for 3 to 4 walks a day so I can do the same for yours. We go to the river and throw the ball or she swims a bit.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have never gone without having one by my side, so looking after them feels completely natural to me. While I was away at university, I even fostered a couple of dogs because I missed having that companionship so much it was incredibly rewarding to give them love and stability while they waited for their forever homes. I’m comfortable with a range of needs, from energetic puppies who benefit from consistent routines and basic training, to senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with every dog I care for as I treat them like my own. Recently, I lost my two dogs, and while I’m not quite ready to bring a new puppy into my home, caring for others’ pets feels like the perfect way to keep sharing that love, attention, and companionship that dogs deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority in my day. I’m currently working part-time with a chiropractic internship from Monday to Thursday, which still leaves me with plenty of time and energy to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available on weekdays after 4pm as well as on weekends, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. At my place, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time and supervised play. There is also one friendly 2-year-old Havanese (my parents’ dog), so I’m mindful of introductions and always make sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I can easily crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, or they’re welcome to have free roam of the house if preferred. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to create a trustworthy, secure environment where your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in High River choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
