About: Welcome to your dog’s second home in Cranston’s Riverstone. I’m Rory, a full-time work-from-home sitter who cares for one family’s dogs at a time, so your dog gets focused attention and a predictable, low-stress stay. I’m home throughout the day and night, which means your dog is rarely alone. If I do step out briefly, it’s never for more than an hour, and I’m always happy to align with your dog’s routine and comfort level. ⸻ Daily routine, walks, and outdoor time We have a fully fenced backyard for regular outdoor breaks, play, and relaxed time outside. I’m also just two blocks from the Bow River pathway system, with paved and unpaved trails, hills, and quiet spots that are perfect for sniffing and exploring. Walks are tailored to the dog. That can mean a short 10-minute stroll, or longer 8 km loops (an hour or more) through the river paths and surrounding hills, depending on age, energy level, and preference. ⸻ A calm canine companion Your dog will share the space with Willow, my well-mannered senior Great Dane. She’s low-energy, gentle, and has spent now 3 years helping visiting dogs settle in comfortably. Her calm presence is especially helpful for dogs who benefit from a relaxed, steady environment while their owners are away. Because I only host one household at a time, the dynamic stays simple and manageable. ⸻ Experience and care approach I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals my entire life. I’m comfortable with puppies (typically not intact males), adult dogs, and seniors, and I’m happy to administer oral medications if needed. Dogs are welcome on furniture and can sleep in the same room as me. Crates are preferred for sleeping and downtime, and I can provide extra-large crates if requested, or use your own setup if that’s what your dog prefers. ⸻ Drop-ins and house checks In addition to boarding and daycare, I offer pet drop-ins and daytime house checks in south Calgary and northern Okotoks. These visits can include feeding, walks, companionship, plant watering, mail collection, and garbage day management. I work from home and can keep a 24/7 eye on your pet. When sitting we won’t be leaving them at home, and will take them on daily walks around the neighborhood, including the paved walkways along the Bow River in Riverstone. I work from home full-time and only look after one family’s dogs at a time, so pets get plenty of supervision and consistency. My home has a fully fenced yard for frequent outdoor breaks, and walks and playtime are always tailored to each dog’s needs. I closely follow feeding and care instructions, can give oral medications if needed, and send regular photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: Currently I have two little rescue pups and live with my daughter, who will look after ours while I am lovingly caring for your pets! I grew up with a dog and only a few years after being on my own, got a wonderful cat from a litter who all needed homes. After nearly 19 wonderful years with Elmo, I wanted to help a friend who runs a dog rescue and foster 2 little rescue pups, ones who weren’t chosen at an adoption event. Well, after about a day, I become what is known as a “foster failure” and have had Angel & Dasher for nearly 10 years now! Animals are truly a part of my life, I beyond love my little rescue pups, every good dog owner truly believes they love theirs the most, myself included. Because I’m retired and live with my daughter (who will stay with ours), I am able to spend many/many hours at your home, not just keeping your fur babies great company, I will serve a bit of a security person, keeping your home well lived in while you are away. I am comfortable and confident with puppies and cats also, you can have a pet cam set up of course. I am completely open and honest, will follow any directions perfectly and would love to be chosen and trusted by you to care for your most precious fur family members!!! Being retired, my schedule is completely open, during the days and evenings, 7 days a week! Because I live with my daughter, who will look after our pups, I am able to spend full days and sleep over in your home. If you’re just needing the drop in service, I’ll spend a lot of time with your pet, doing whatever it is they may need, from just letting out for a bathroom break to lounging lazily with cats who crave this affection!!! My two little pups get walks, weather dependent here in Calgary, along with atleast 3 “pee breaks” during the day and with a large back yard, the morning one is often spent outside for almost an hour, enjoying my coffee. I will spend the same amount of time and energy with your pets, fully dependent on your specific needs and wishes!

About: ** No longer taking reservations for 2018 - I work with dogs professionally. What started as a part time job has quickly changed my whole life- dogs are it now. I have experience with rescue dogs, seniors, tiny tiny toy breeds, special needs dogs (deaf, blind, epileptic), giant dogs and even aggressive dogs (I have the scars to prove it) I’m happy step in as a surrogate pet parent for anyone because I know this is my calling. I would never give service I wouldn’t accept for my little one. Dogs become members of your family and that’s how I will treat them, the same as I treat my own or my clients at work.
