“Audrey is very friendly and responsive. She took such good care of Mindy and updated us on her with great photos on a regular basis! We highly recommend her and will be using her again! :)”

“David and Candice did a great job with Yuma! Yuma is an anxious dog, but through patience and kindness, they won her over. Yuma was very well taken care of and we received so many great updates during our trip. Would book again!”

“Freddy was so well looked after! Stephanie and Robert took our boy last minute after original plans fell through and couldn’t have been more welcoming to him. Stephanie sent photos to keep us updated, gave him lots of walks and snuggles and I think he had the best two days of his life! Thank you!”

About: Experienced dog-sitter from London, UK. Served two clients loyally for 3.5yrs, looking after their dogs and taking them on day-trip adventures and holidays. Have provided a variety of one-off care for multiple other clients. My husband & I have recently moved to Canada and we are missing our doggo-time! We would love a furry friend to keep us company. I work 100% remotely as an environmental sustainability consultant; my husband works as a mountain guide in the Rockies. We lead active lifestyles, but also love relaxing at home. Our building is pet-friendly, and we have a mini dog park outside. We have hard flooring throughout our flat but we would be happy to lay down additional rugs if required, depending on your pet's preferences. We don't have any stairs.

“Nat was amazing! My dogs looked happy in all the updates. Got them back exercised! She took care of the extensive med care my dog suddenly needed with expertise. Nat was so accommodating when my tour changed and a late pick up. Super wonderful to work with.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Caitlyn’s care for our dog, Rivers. Rivers can be reactive, and Caitlyn handled her with so much patience, confidence, and kindness. She did a trial overnight with her before our trip, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away for 11 days, Caitlyn sent daily photo and video updates, and it was clear Rivers was comfortable, well cared for, and having a great time. Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog says everything. We’re so grateful to have found Caitlyn and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again or recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and communicative sitter.”

About: Mountain girl, born and raised surrounded by dogs, I have a rescue well behaved puppy 1.5 y/o who is always eager to go on adventures. Enjoy giving my furry friends cuddles and attention. 🐕♥️ I work Monday to Friday in office hours. I also have the perks of working from home some days a week. Weekends and holidays are my go for dog sitting. Since I want to be present for them and enjoy our time together I have a big fenced yard and also a car ready to take my furry friends to the dogs park or any adventures! I can totally adjust to your dogs needs (crate trained, potty trained, on-training)
About: I provide care , support, attention all with love. I also have a strong understanding of the needs of others, as well as the importance of safety and their nervous systems. I am flexible with the schedule of your needs, if your schedule changes based on last minute appointments, trips or any other circumstances, I will accommodate as needed . I can accommodate in your home so that your put babies and loved ones are more comfortable in their own space and in their current routines .
“Jackie is very easy to talk to and responsive to all messages! Gigi had a great time with her dog and was well taken care of. Nice back yard for her to run and get her energy out. I believe Gigi was treated just like a part of Jackie's family. Thanks so much!”
About: Looking for a doggy daycare that doubles as an outdoor adventure? I’m your sitter! If you want your dog to return home happy, tired and thoroughly fulfilled, you’ve found the right spot. I work from home with a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize outdoor time. Every single daycare stay includes at least one 5–10km hike (or if requested, trail run), or a split routine of two 3–5km walks. I have experience with all breeds, but I specialize in high-energy working dogs (Cattle Dogs, Aussies, and Border Collies). My own best friend Metsä, is a 14-year-old Blue Heeler, so I deeply understand the physical exercise and mental stimulation these breeds need to stay happy. Metsä gets a minimum of 2 hours of outdoor time a day, and I can't wait to meet some new friends and hit the trails together! When I am not travelling for my job, I work from home full. Metsä and I love having another four legged friend at home to go for a nice hike with. I work from a home office and always have your dog in the room with me during the daytime hours. When we go on a walk and out for bathroom breaks your dog will remain on leash at all times.
“Stacey and Celeb were amazing dog sitters while we were away for a wedding! They messaged us with photos and updates each day. It was nice to be stress free while we were away knowing our little doggo Odis was in great hands. They were even very accommodating to his special diet and silly behaviours. Thank you again for everything! We can’t recommend them enough 😊”

“This was Daisy’s first time staying with someone she didn’t know and Alex made sure she had lots of fun and was comfortable. She sent pictures to us throughout the day and even took Daisy on a walk. We highly recommend Alex to watch your pup if you are in or passing through Banff!”

Stephanie and Rob are top tier dog sitters. They are reliable, communicate clearly, and provided updates and pictures throughout our dog's stay. It's clear that they love dogs and we felt like our pup was on his own little holiday during his time with them. Only downside is that your dog may not want to leave. 5+++ stars for these amazing humans!

We left our corgi, Annie Oakley with Jessica for a weekend stay. We rarely leave her with anyone overnight. Annie absolutely had a great time! When your dog know, she knows! 😆 Annie loved Jessica and her kitty Lili right from the beginning! Jessica was so accommodating for our last minute booking, so loving for Annie, took lots of photos and just treated her like her own! Jessica, we can't thank you enough for the nice weekend away we had, where we couldn't have her along with us.💕 🐾 Would definitely recommend Jessica to look after your fur baby, you wont be disappointed! WOW. Colleen is incredible. It was my partner's first time EVER leaving his dog with a stranger, and it was only my second time leaving my dog with someone I didn't already know, and we both felt SO good about it. She understands dog body language and how dogs communicate with each other, she understands dogs and different dog breeds/traits so well. I would trust her with any pet. Her own dogs and cat are absolutely wonderful. We have a australian shepherd and a huskey/german shepherd. Drop off and pick up was wonderful, she is the kindest most lovely human. I could tell the dogs had an absolute blast with her, and were very tired!! She sent us updates and photos which were amazing. I don't know if there is anything more I could say, 10/10, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Caitlyn (&her partner Tony) took great care of our dog Moe, she seemed very happy when we picked her up & in all the photos sent through during her stay. Great communication leading up to & throughout the dog sit, we highly recommend Caitlyn to look after your animals. Would definitely book again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
