Freddy was so well looked after! Stephanie and Robert took our boy last minute after original plans fell through and couldn’t have been more welcoming to him. Stephanie sent photos to keep us updated, gave him lots of walks and snuggles and I think he had the best two days of his life! Thank you!

Audry was very organized with us and was very chill with the dogs. We were comfortable to leave our dogs with her. She took them for multiple outings and sent us pics as well. She was very flexible with our times for drop and pick up. Overall very pleased. Thanks

About: Experienced dog-sitter from London, UK. Served two clients loyally for 3.5yrs, looking after their dogs and taking them on day-trip adventures and holidays. Have provided a variety of one-off care for multiple other clients. My husband & I have recently moved to Canada and we are missing our doggo-time! We would love a furry friend to keep us company. I work 100% remotely as an environmental sustainability consultant; my husband works as a mountain guide in the Rockies. We lead active lifestyles, but also love relaxing at home. Our building is pet-friendly, and we have a mini dog park outside. We have hard flooring throughout our flat but we would be happy to lay down additional rugs if required, depending on your pet's preferences. We don't have any stairs.

Nat was amazing! My dogs looked happy in all the updates. Got them back exercised! She took care of the extensive med care my dog suddenly needed with expertise. Nat was so accommodating when my tour changed and a late pick up. Super wonderful to work with.

We couldn’t be happier with Caitlyn’s care for our dog, Rivers. Rivers can be reactive, and Caitlyn handled her with so much patience, confidence, and kindness. She did a trial overnight with her before our trip, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away for 11 days, Caitlyn sent daily photo and video updates, and it was clear Rivers was comfortable, well cared for, and having a great time. Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog says everything. We’re so grateful to have found Caitlyn and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again or recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and communicative sitter.

I contacted Jackie last minute to watch Meeka for what I thought would be an afternoon. We were on a climbing trip and didn’t anticipate being so late. Jackie was a lot more flexible than most would be. Thanks for taking care of Meeka so well.

This was Daisy’s first time staying with someone she didn’t know and Alex made sure she had lots of fun and was comfortable. She sent pictures to us throughout the day and even took Daisy on a walk. We highly recommend Alex to watch your pup if you are in or passing through Banff!

We left our dog with Tess at her house for three days. She kept in touch throughout and took great care of our girl, including lots of walks and fresh air time. We would definitely book again. Thank you Tess!

Mackenzee was great... super reliable and accommodating in picking up my little buddy. My dog Joe came home with tail wagging and a big happy smile. Would definitely use Mackenzee again!

I almost don't want to leave a review because I want Mackenzee to always have lots of availability for us! Our little dog, Goose, loves Mackenzee and her boyfriend. We did a trial run before Goose stayed with them overnight and beelined straight for their place as soon as we got out of the car for the second visit. Mackenzee is so sweet to him (even giving herself a bad sleep because he decided to sleep on her pillow!) and we know he's in good hands with her

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Banff on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Banff home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favourite hang-out spots in your Banff

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
