“Amber was amazing with our pup on her first Rover overnight! She was spoiled with lots of walks, dog park visits & love. We got lots of updates, with pictures. We will definitely look to Amber in the future!”

“Miguel and Scarlet were amazing, they kept sending us videos and picture updates of our two dogs, it really looked Rose and Stella had a blast with their dog Nana. Thank you so much for treating our two dogs amazingly, I'm sure the girls would love to have a playdate again with Nana.”

“Joann took our dog last minute for 12 days after he got denied boarding on our vacation. We can’t thank Joann enough for her flexibility. We always know Mookie is in the best hands at Joann’s.”

“Taz had a great time and he had other little friends to stay play with. I was very grateful that Tracey sent me multiple pictures of Taz relaxing, playing, and begging for treats as this was his first sitter ever. Thank you Tracey and family.”
“Lindsey helped us out so much today and super last minute!! She was so friendly, replied right away, sent video and photos and text updates through the day, and our dog had an absolute blast with her pup Millie. I would absolutely recommend Lindsey for your doggie care needs! Thank you so much!”

“Henri had the BEST time with Melanie and her son! They took him on hikes, let him splash and play in the water nearby, and spent lots of time playing fetch - his favourite. Melanie was attentive, had great communication throughout his stay, and took such wonderful care of our fur baby. We loved receiving updates and could tell Henri was happy, well-loved, and having so much fun. We’ll definitely be dropping Henri off at Camp Melanie again for future stays. Highly recommend!”

“Eunmee and her husband took such great care of my Aussie/Sheltie. She was absolutely exhausted from all the play and walks from her stay with Eunmee. Would 100% recommend their service. Thanks again!”

“Excellent sitters - I was very happy to have them look after my dog Sylvester. Lots of updates and great care given! Will be looking to use them first whenever I’m in Calgary!”

“Jacqueline and her husband were wonderful with Floki. My dog is very shy and needs time to adjust to new people, and they were so patient until he felt more relaxed. I'm glad I found a place where I can leave him knowing he's safe and well cared for. Thank you!”

“Paige was amazing with my dog and I felt confident that she was being very well cared for while I was gone. She goes above and beyond with her daily report cards which I didn’t even know I wanted! My dog gets anxious when away from home but Paige made her feel as comfortable as possible - I’m not even sure she wanted to go home!”

“What could we possibly say about Maxime and Léa that has not already been said by the other parents?! They are genuinely amazing people who love animals and that is very very evident by their dedication and how often they kept us in the loop with our puppy during his boarding. We had some anxiety with this being Ruckus’ first time away from home but any worries were put to ease when we immediately saw how happy he was with all the pictures and videos that we received throughout his stay. He was absolutely spoiled with all the attention, the trail and pack walks as well as the chance of being on their furniture 😂 We cannot wait to trust them again with our pupperino. They have us as clients for life!”

“My little Daisy had a fabulous stay with Frankie & Arthur. Since Daisy is only 4.5 months old they had to go the extra mile with her and they really did! Frankie kept me updated every day and gave the best possible love and care to our pup. I'm pretty sure that Daisy didn't want to come home! I'll definitely try to book Frankie for my next trip.”

“My dog Denali loved her stay with Emily! Denali is not confident on hardwood floors so Emily and her family created "islands made of rugs" to help Denali navigate around the rooms during her stay. I highly recommend Emily as a trusted dog-sitter for your fur-baby!”

“Paula is an amazing dog sitter! She recently watched our puppy for a full week, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. She is reliable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure our pup is happy and safe. Paula kept us updated throughout the week, sharing photos and notes that gave us real peace of mind. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for animals, and our puppy adores her. I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets!”

JoAnn and Peanut are a hit! Ozzie had a fabulous time in JoAnn's care. We received daily updates and pictures of Ozzie settling in with Peanut, and JoAnn's loving care and attention. Ozzie felt very safe and comfortable in JoAnn's care. He had a spring in his step and a smile on his face when we picked him up. We will continue to call upon JoAnn when we need a sitter for Ozzie. I give JoAnn a top rating of 5/5. I trust her completely for caring for our fur baby. THANK YOU JOANN!

Loved Sarah and Matt! They made sure my pups were comfortable and happy. Xena is skiddish around new people, but she was able to warm up to the famliy. And although the pups had a rough start on the first night, Sarah and Matt were able to resolve the issues quickly and clearly.communicated the situation. This gave us a peace of mind while we were away.

Dionne is an absolutely amazing sitter. Prince has had so much fun with her in the past, and always comes home super happy and sad to say goodbye🥺💕 I received many fun videos and silly photos of my boy! He had a blast going for walks, showing off his toys, and getting the best of treats and attention! It’s awesome having such a flexible sitter as well, especially for last minute sleepovers or additional days, Dionne has been very accommodating and happy to take him for an extra day or two! 100% will be recommending Dionne to all my dog parents, thank you so much Dionne! Prince will see you again soon!!!

Vanessa and her husband John are the sweetest couple who love dogs and showed my boy lots of love! They have a big yard which is great for getting out energy and they took my dog on long walks as well. I felt at ease as soon as I met them and knew my pup was in safe hands. Will definitely use them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
