“Very responsive and kept me up to date daily. Sent lots of pictures. Willow was good when I collected her - not stressed, and has gone back to normal routine immediately. Nice to see that Willow got out on several longer walks - she is a very active dog! I would use Amber's services again. Thanks Amber!!”

“Tracey was lovely! She makes drop offs and pick-up very seamless. She is attentive to your dog's needs and she makes sure to send update photos! My girl Ellie had a blast with Tracey and her pups and we wouldn't hesitate to bring her back.”

“Lindsey helped us out so much today and super last minute!! She was so friendly, replied right away, sent video and photos and text updates through the day, and our dog had an absolute blast with her pup Millie. I would absolutely recommend Lindsey for your doggie care needs! Thank you so much!”

“Joann was so great! It’s very clear she adores all the dogs. She has a great outdoor space and sent me lots of pictures and updates. Oscar was a very happy pup when I picked him up!! I would happily bring Oscar back to her.”

“Gary was an awesome dog-sitter; you can tell he genuinely cares about the pups he’s looking after. He sent us thoughtful updates while we were away, and gave us complete confidence and peace of mind that our dog was in kind and skillful hands. He was also flexible and accommodating when a highway closure delayed our return by a day. We definitely recommend Gary for dog-sitting and will look forward to using his services again. ?”

“I recently boarded my dog with Paula for four days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, she was professional, warm, and welcoming. My puppy had an absolute blast and has definitely found a new best friend! What I appreciated most were her frequent updates—she sent photos, videos, and little notes each day, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing my dog was happy and safe. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the dogs she looks after, treating them as her own family. I highly recommend her boarding service to anyone in need of a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!”

“Cindy took excellent care of Beatrix. They went on amazing long outdoor adventures. Beatrix is a very active dog for her age and Cindy managed to tire her out by the end of the weekend together. Communication was also good. Thank you Cindy, we hope to book again soon”

“Provided excellent care for our puppy - we enjoyed the daily photo updates and he seemed really happy and content! Excellent communication and always fast to respond. Wonderful - highly recommend!”

“From the moment we met Merron, we knew our sweet girl would be in safe and caring hands. It’s clear that she deeply cares for the pets she looks after. Mabel loved her stay there and 100% we would book again.”

“She got along with our dog quick and that means something because he takes a while to warm up to new people especially if it's the first meeting. Karlee was good in updating us and she catered to one little request which I appreciate. We also love the fact that her home felt like a home for our dog. I wished Karlee have a fenced backyard because our dog loves to run and play. Regardless, he was taken care of. Would still rebook once I'm ready again to leave my baby boy.”

About: I have LOVED dogs since I was a child, growing up with a loyal German Shepherd, and a goofy Black Lab. That love of dogs has never left but I have not owned a dog as an adult due to work and travel, but the right time is slowly coming closer for me! I am currently volunteering at the CAHS as a dog walker and I absolutely love it! It's also been great experience handling dogs with a wide range of personalities. Last year, my partner and I dog-sat for friends in their apartment for a few months while they were out of the country. While this dog did have some behavioural issues, it was a very rewarding experience for us to have a dog in our daily lives again and we learned a lot along the way I'm currently not working and my partner is away for the summer so I would love to fill some of my time walking and doggy-sitting. I would love to take your dog on a hike, trail walk, or to an off leash park. Whatever they enjoy, I'm down for an adventure with your pup! Or we can do belly rubs on the couch, I love that too!! I live in a pet-free/child-free apartment, right across the street from a park for quick, easy potty breaks. I enjoy being outside and can offer multiple walks a day. I would love to discuss your pets needs and routine to make sure their stay with me is comfortable and fun for both of us
“The family including Oakley and Harper has taken really care of my dog. So good that my dog doesn’t wanna leave. Despite my dogs anxiety, they were able accommodate her personality and behaviour really well”

“Eunmee boarded Vino for two weeks and he was so happy and well taken care of. Lots of walks, naps and playtime. I couldn’t ask him to be cared for any better. Thanks Eunmee and family.”

“Yulina did a great job taking care of our pup! She sent us the cutest updates while we were away and kept us informed so we were not worried. Felix seemed very comfortable with her and we knew he was in good hands, we would not hesitate to book with her again.”

“We had no worries leaving Olive for a week long stay, Maxime and Léa made it a wonderful, reassuring and calm experience. Olive also turned 4 during the stay and they threw her a birthday party, literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. These guys go above and beyond, fully recommend! 💘”

JoAnn and Peanut are a hit! Ozzie had a fabulous time in JoAnn's care. We received daily updates and pictures of Ozzie settling in with Peanut, and JoAnn's loving care and attention. Ozzie felt very safe and comfortable in JoAnn's care. He had a spring in his step and a smile on his face when we picked him up. We will continue to call upon JoAnn when we need a sitter for Ozzie. I give JoAnn a top rating of 5/5. I trust her completely for caring for our fur baby. THANK YOU JOANN!

Loved Sarah and Matt! They made sure my pups were comfortable and happy. Xena is skiddish around new people, but she was able to warm up to the famliy. And although the pups had a rough start on the first night, Sarah and Matt were able to resolve the issues quickly and clearly.communicated the situation. This gave us a peace of mind while we were away.

Dionne is an absolutely amazing sitter. Prince has had so much fun with her in the past, and always comes home super happy and sad to say goodbye🥺💕 I received many fun videos and silly photos of my boy! He had a blast going for walks, showing off his toys, and getting the best of treats and attention! It’s awesome having such a flexible sitter as well, especially for last minute sleepovers or additional days, Dionne has been very accommodating and happy to take him for an extra day or two! 100% will be recommending Dionne to all my dog parents, thank you so much Dionne! Prince will see you again soon!!!

Vanessa and her husband John are the sweetest couple who love dogs and showed my boy lots of love! They have a big yard which is great for getting out energy and they took my dog on long walks as well. I felt at ease as soon as I met them and knew my pup was in safe hands. Will definitely use them again!

Sylvie was absolutely fantastic with our girl. Having never left her with anyone other than family we were a bit nervous but she put our minds at ease right away. She also sent us updates and pics to let us know just how happy and spoiled our girl was. Can’t recommend her enough

Yuliia was very patient and calm with Lily and she suggested that we handed Lily to her and leave for ten minutes and come back so that way Lily knows that we will come back we thought it was a really good idea and we think Lily settled a lot faster than if we didn't do that

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
