“Tanya was amazing with our girl, took her for walks and gave her lots of love while we were away. We also got updates every day and felt totally comfortable leaving our dog there. Definitely recommend. Thanks again, Tanya!”

“Joanne was amazing with our girl, Buffy. She accommodated short notice to care for our dog over the weekend and provided great updates that kept our minds at ease. Will definitely consider Joanne for all of our needs moving forward.”

“Our dog Bonnie had a great 11-night boarding stay with Karlee! Karlee found opportunities to let Bonnie engage in a favourite activity: watching neighbourhood goings-on! She also provided regular walks (managing encounters with rabbits and dogs — Bonnie is reactive to dogs) and toys to play with at home. Karlee provided updates on Bonnie’s stay every day or two. She also mended Bonnie’s harness when two straps began to separate! We plan to book Karlee again when we next need boarding!”

“Nova stayed with Tawnya and Jeremy for an extended weekend while I was away. She took great care of Nova, asking me at times about her behavior if something seemed off and was very communicative during our pickup and drop off times. Nova seemed to have enjoyed her weekend with their family and I'd book again with them in the future.”

“Once again, Yulina and her partner Morgan did an amazing job looking after Archer! I will continue to use them to sit Archer when needed because they take excellent care of him. He comes home happy and tired!”

“So thankful to have Phoebe as our now regular dog sitter when we are away. It’s hard to leave our pups behind for a long period of time but we always know they are in good hands and having a good time there. Thank you again Phoebe!”

“Pierre and Sheila were very friendly and kind. They made sure to have all the information they needed to care for our cat and make sure he was comfortable. Zamzam is very shy and anxious, but they made him feel so welcome so quickly. They kept me updated daily and sent me pictures and videos, which was so appreciated! Definitely helped make me feel relaxed and my mind at ease. I can tell he was well taken care of and made to feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Pierre and Sheila and will definitely be reaching out again and rebooking! Thank you so much for taking care of Zamzam!”

“We left our small senior dog, Simón, for 10 days with Jeffrey and Janine. When we picked him up it was clear that we could not have left him in better hands. Jeffrey and Janine did a great job helping Simón with his specific dietary needs, walking routine, and frequent cuddles. We also received regular detailed updates and pictures that showed how quickly he adjusted to their pet friendly home. We plan to leave Simón again with Jeffrey and Janine and we highly recommend them.”

“We were so happy to have Laura-Lynn and Zachary care for our dog over the weekend. This was our first time using this service, and they were absolutely wonderful. Our dog has some separation anxiety, so we were a bit nervous, but Laura-Lynn was amazing at easing our worries from the start. She provided daily updates on how our dog was doing, along with some adorable photos, which really brought us comfort and peace of mind. It was clear our dog was well cared for, loved, and happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them!”

About: Erin & I have had 3 dogs most of our relationship (10+ Years strong), and each had dogs growing up, they're just the best to lean a shoulder on :) Your dog would be treated as part of our family for the duration they are with us - We'd ensure that they have enough stimulation, or as much as they need - We love getting to know dogs and their different personalities! Erin is a certified dog groomer so we can provide add-ons if required. (Limited Services at the moment but hoping to expand with a home setup soon) In order to ensure your dog is comfortable, cuddled and loved while you're away we will give them attention through the days as we both work from home. Ensuring they will never feel alone. So they usually fit in really easily! Fully fenced yard. We allow our dogs free reign of the house (other than sleeping with us!) but we will provide a safe/seperate space for your dog at night to sleep in peace.
“We love having Keanu stay with Lisa and her husband. Their home is very welcoming, and I could tell by the photos that she sends that my pup is really relaxed and enjoying his time there. She is really responsive and puts your mind at ease when you are away. I highly recommend.”

“We had such an amazing experience with Barb and Gary. From the moment we dropped our girl off, we felt completely at ease. It’s not always easy leaving your pet behind, but they made the whole process so comfortable and reassuring. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and clearly have a genuine love for dogs. We received updates that made us smile and showed just how happy and well cared for she was. It was such a relief to be able to fully enjoy our time away without worrying, knowing she was in such good hands. When we picked her up, she was happy, calm, and clearly had been so well looked after. We’re so grateful for the care and attention they gave her and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again, and we did. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and reliable to care for their pup.”

“This was our second time booking with Sara and she took excellent care of our seven year old Miniature Schnauzer, Rudy. She went above and beyond to give us daily written & photo updates on Rudy’s activities, like walks and playtime, through the morning, afternoon and evening. We are very grateful to have found Sara and would recommend her to anyone in need of a caring dog sitter. 🥰🐶🐾”

“Sonya was an outstanding dog sitter! Our dog came back to us so happy and was excited to go back for a second time, as we were so satisfied with Sonya's service we requested her twice in the same weekend. Sonya was very accommodating to changes in our schedule and we would highly recommend her. She also has other dogs at her place that allowed our dog to get some energy out and socialize. Thank you for everything, Sonya! We look forward to our next visit and seeing you again soon!”

“Paula is an amazing dog sitter! She recently watched our puppy for a full week, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. She is reliable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure our pup is happy and safe. Paula kept us updated throughout the week, sharing photos and notes that gave us real peace of mind. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for animals, and our puppy adores her. I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets!”

“We can't thank you enough for not only the stellar care for Phoebe but also for helping us out when we had our last minute travel problems. We rest easy knowing that you are so responsible and take such tremendous care of our little dachshund. Thanks again for all your help!!”

“Henri rushes to the door as soon as we are near Mary and Ryan’s building. It’s always a good sign when your dog doesn’t look back as soon as he’s in the presence of these 2 wonderful human beings.”

“Another fabulous stay with Isabel! Bailey was so well looked after and just like one of the family. We appreciated daily photos and updates on how he was doing. Bailey can't wait for his next visit!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
