“Anastasia was wonderful!!! She took care of my dog when we were away on a trip , very responsible, always on time and she kip me posted on how my dog was doing, sending me pictures and text messages. Definitely recommend her!”

“Second time we have left our pup with Joanne, longer stay this time, and only good things to review. Booking was streamline and she kept us updated with pictures again. Would recommend !”

“Tanya was amazing with our girl, took her for walks and gave her lots of love while we were away. We also got updates every day and felt totally comfortable leaving our dog there. Definitely recommend. Thanks again, Tanya!”

“Our dog Bonnie had a great 11-night boarding stay with Karlee! Karlee found opportunities to let Bonnie engage in a favourite activity: watching neighbourhood goings-on! She also provided regular walks (managing encounters with rabbits and dogs — Bonnie is reactive to dogs) and toys to play with at home. Karlee provided updates on Bonnie’s stay every day or two. She also mended Bonnie’s harness when two straps began to separate! We plan to book Karlee again when we next need boarding!”

“Tawnya & Jeremy take good care of our dog whenever we are out of town. He gets to play with their kiddos and loves hanging out on their deck! We get regular updates from them and have never had an issue. Would highly recommend Tawnya and Jeremy!”

“Milo had a great time and we had a worry- free vacation. It was our first time to book Yulina and we appreciate that she always kept us updated, sending pictures and videos. Our dog is always anxious being away from us but we are glad he warmed up eventually to everyone. Will definitely see you guys again!”

“Excellent communication with multiple updates as to how things were going. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog under their care and would highly recommend them!!”

“Sheila and Pierre took great care of Hobart for the week we were away. I appreciated all the photos, videos, and updates provided. Thank you for keeping him safe and comfortable until we got home!”

About: Erin & I have had 3 dogs most of our relationship (10+ Years strong), and each had dogs growing up, they're just the best to lean a shoulder on :) Your dog would be treated as part of our family for the duration they are with us - We'd ensure that they have enough stimulation, or as much as they need - We love getting to know dogs and their different personalities! Erin is a certified dog groomer so we can provide add-ons if required. (Limited Services at the moment but hoping to expand with a home setup soon) In order to ensure your dog is comfortable, cuddled and loved while you're away we will give them attention through the days as we both work from home. Ensuring they will never feel alone. So they usually fit in really easily! Fully fenced yard. We allow our dogs free reign of the house (other than sleeping with us!) but we will provide a safe/seperate space for your dog at night to sleep in peace.
“We were so happy to have Laura-Lynn and Zachary care for our dog over the weekend. This was our first time using this service, and they were absolutely wonderful. Our dog has some separation anxiety, so we were a bit nervous, but Laura-Lynn was amazing at easing our worries from the start. She provided daily updates on how our dog was doing, along with some adorable photos, which really brought us comfort and peace of mind. It was clear our dog was well cared for, loved, and happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them!”

“We left our small senior dog, Simón, for 10 days with Jeffrey and Janine. When we picked him up it was clear that we could not have left him in better hands. Jeffrey and Janine did a great job helping Simón with his specific dietary needs, walking routine, and frequent cuddles. We also received regular detailed updates and pictures that showed how quickly he adjusted to their pet friendly home. We plan to leave Simón again with Jeffrey and Janine and we highly recommend them.”

“Lisa was great! She made our dog feel so relaxed and cared for. She took steps to make him feel at home and comfortable. Lisa sent picture regularly of Berkley playing and smiling. I’m pretty sure he wishes he lived there all the time because he spend the first 2 days back at home moping. That’s a sign of great care!!”

“Gary is incredible our pup was so lucky to spend time at Gary’s house. He went above and beyond to make us and our pup feel comfortable. A few days before the groomer clipped my pups paw, Gary kindly wrapped and kept an eye on him! Thabks Gary”

“Jackie and Tom are so warm and welcoming and make you and your dog feel like family! They send updates and pictures to reassure you and have two sweet little dogs for playmates as well as a very large yard to have lots of outside time. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them watch our dog again and would highly recommend them to others!”

“Smokey had a wonderful week with Sara while we were away on vacation. She took such good care of him, taking him for frequent walks, playing fetch with him, and hanging out with him in the backyard. She provided us with updates and photos multiple times a day and he always had a big smile on his face. Thanks Sara for taking such good care of our boy.”

“Sonya did an amazing job taking care of Winnie. She's a dog whisperer and she really made Winnie feel relaxed and loved. Winnie loved her time there and quickly became apart of Sonya's pack. I highly recommend Sonya. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Isabel was great with communicating from the very beginning. She has a warm and nurturing presence and we could see that our dog, who is older and a bit anxious, was well cared for while we were away. We hope to have Isabel care for our dog again in the future!”

“I recently boarded my dog with Paula for four days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, she was professional, warm, and welcoming. My puppy had an absolute blast and has definitely found a new best friend! What I appreciated most were her frequent updates—she sent photos, videos, and little notes each day, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing my dog was happy and safe. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the dogs she looks after, treating them as her own family. I highly recommend her boarding service to anyone in need of a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!”

“France was incredible! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog for 5 days with her and Hank. She sent me daily updates with pictures included, she was flexible with timings and so patient. Hank was such a great dog and I’m so glad he was there for my dog. Hav already discussed with France on the next time I’ll need her services!”

“From the moment we met Amber, we knew our two Aussies would be in great hands. Dante came to check out our dogs when we arrived and gave his thumbs up for them to stay at his place. Amber really listened to our dogs’ needs, and seeing pictures of them playing or on walks during the day was just fantastic. We never once doubted our decision to choose Amber because we knew she would take such good care of our dogs. She’s definitely our go-to person from now on!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
