“Tanya took amazing care of Duke! He was relaxed, happy, and full of energy when we picked him up — not stressed at all. It was clear he really enjoyed his stay with her. We’ll definitely trust Tanya to watch Duke again!”

“I can’t thank Joanne enough for taking such great care of my husky Mya! I have a hard time trusting anyone with Mya as huskies are known to be escape artists. Joanne sent me photos and kept us up to date throughout Myas full stay! We will be a regular with Joanne?”

“Our dog Bonnie had a great 11-night boarding stay with Karlee! Karlee found opportunities to let Bonnie engage in a favourite activity: watching neighbourhood goings-on! She also provided regular walks (managing encounters with rabbits and dogs — Bonnie is reactive to dogs) and toys to play with at home. Karlee provided updates on Bonnie’s stay every day or two. She also mended Bonnie’s harness when two straps began to separate! We plan to book Karlee again when we next need boarding!”

“Alexis sat for our two dogs for two nights and they were well taken care of while we were gone. She ensured that they went on their walks, fed, and fully cuddled during their stay! She communicates well and kept us informed with all we needed to know and sent pictures of our pets during our stay. I recommend Alexis to care for your pets’ needs!”

“Tawnya & Jeremy take good care of our dog whenever we are out of town. He gets to play with their kiddos and loves hanging out on their deck! We get regular updates from them and have never had an issue. Would highly recommend Tawnya and Jeremy!”

“Milo had a great time and we had a worry- free vacation. It was our first time to book Yulina and we appreciate that she always kept us updated, sending pictures and videos. Our dog is always anxious being away from us but we are glad he warmed up eventually to everyone. Will definitely see you guys again!”

“Pierre and Sheila were very friendly and kind. They made sure to have all the information they needed to care for our cat and make sure he was comfortable. Zamzam is very shy and anxious, but they made him feel so welcome so quickly. They kept me updated daily and sent me pictures and videos, which was so appreciated! Definitely helped make me feel relaxed and my mind at ease. I can tell he was well taken care of and made to feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Pierre and Sheila and will definitely be reaching out again and rebooking! Thank you so much for taking care of Zamzam!”

“After a meet and greet walk I felt comfortable that Jeffrey & Janine would take good care of Ozzy while we went away on a small trip. They asked a lot of detailed questions regarding his care prior to us leaving him. During our trip we got amazing detailed updates on Ozzy and wonderful pictures as well. They played his favorite game of fetch with him and took him on daily walks. They sent a video of him playing with their dog too. Ozzy looked like he was loved and well taken care of. We would not hesitate to use their services again for future bookings and you shouldn't either! You will not be disappointed. Thanks again Jeffrey & Janine for looking after our fur ball!”

“Jacqueline and her husband were wonderful with Floki. My dog is very shy and needs time to adjust to new people, and they were so patient until he felt more relaxed. I'm glad I found a place where I can leave him knowing he's safe and well cared for. Thank you!”

“Another fabulous stay with Isabel! Bailey was so well looked after and just like one of the family. We appreciated daily photos and updates on how he was doing. Bailey can't wait for his next visit!”

About: Erin & I have had 3 dogs most of our relationship (10+ Years strong), and each had dogs growing up, they're just the best to lean a shoulder on :) Your dog would be treated as part of our family for the duration they are with us - We'd ensure that they have enough stimulation, or as much as they need - We love getting to know dogs and their different personalities! Erin is a certified dog groomer so we can provide add-ons if required. (Limited Services at the moment but hoping to expand with a home setup soon) In order to ensure your dog is comfortable, cuddled and loved while you're away we will give them attention through the days as we both work from home. Ensuring they will never feel alone. So they usually fit in really easily! Fully fenced yard. We allow our dogs free reign of the house (other than sleeping with us!) but we will provide a safe/seperate space for your dog at night to sleep in peace.
“Lisa was great! She made our dog feel so relaxed and cared for. She took steps to make him feel at home and comfortable. Lisa sent picture regularly of Berkley playing and smiling. I’m pretty sure he wishes he lived there all the time because he spend the first 2 days back at home moping. That’s a sign of great care!!”

“Rachel is amazing! She is so great with our dogs and they love coming to her place. Beyond grateful to have found someone I can trust with our dogs. Our doggies always sleep the car ride home because they are played out and happy.”

“Sonya did an amazing job taking care of Winnie. She's a dog whisperer and she really made Winnie feel relaxed and loved. Winnie loved her time there and quickly became apart of Sonya's pack. I highly recommend Sonya. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Jing was very wonderful with Sheikah. She was prompt and clear in her communication with me. She sent pictures of Sheikah to me. I was very happy with her service and felt that my dog was cared for and safe with her.”

“Sherry was very attentive and caring for our dog Ellie! Asked great questions and met all of our needs seamlessly. You can feel at ease knowing your dog is with Sherry”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
