“Nichole is amazing!! She is amazing at sending pictures and updates that eased our minds tremendously. Quick to respond to messages and flexible. We have an Akita that is very particular on meeting new friends and has food intolerances and she did a great job and he warmed up to her. Nichole had some toys which Hank loved, and even gave one to him to take home. 100% recommend Nichole, and trust her completely with Hank and Moose.”

“Our pup had an amazing time and Karlee was wonderful. She sent us plenty of photos and updates. We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitter. Will definitely be having Karlee sit for us next time.”

“Joanne was absolutely fantastic. This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone and she did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable. She sent us photos and videos every day and kept us up to date with how our puppy was doing! We would definitely use her services again!”

“Tanya took amazing care of Duke! He was relaxed, happy, and full of energy when we picked him up — not stressed at all. It was clear he really enjoyed his stay with her. We’ll definitely trust Tanya to watch Duke again!”

“Teaghan was absolutely wonderful! We were in town for a wedding and her wonderful care of my fur baby made the weekend so much more enjoyable! Lola had a blast and was well cared for! She also sent up updates and photos. Highly recommend Teaghan for your pet sitting needs!”

“Left our pups summer and hope two insanely energetic huskies with Aman and soo happy with the way she dealt with them .. we got so many updates, photos and videos. She even took them to a dog ? park for play .. i would definitely recommend Aman and use her service again ..”

“Sonya was an outstanding dog sitter! Our dog came back to us so happy and was excited to go back for a second time, as we were so satisfied with Sonya's service we requested her twice in the same weekend. Sonya was very accommodating to changes in our schedule and we would highly recommend her. She also has other dogs at her place that allowed our dog to get some energy out and socialize. Thank you for everything, Sonya! We look forward to our next visit and seeing you again soon!”

“We could not have had better sitters for our sweet Frankie-Bear. We only had the pleasure of meeting Dane and Toby at drop-off and pick-up, but it was clear he was loved by everyone caring for him for the time he was there. Next time we’re in need of a sitter they are the first ones we’re booking. Dane is so warm and kind, and Toby so gentle, mild-mannered, and sweet; just such a wonderful experience overall knowing that our boy was in the best of hands. Highly recommend!”

“Aaron sent so many updates and as an anxious dog mom with an anxious pup this was so appreciated. She said my girl got along well with her pups and I love that she had extra pup friends to keep her company while I was away. This was my first time leaving my dog with someone and it was a very positive one. Will absolutely be using Aaron in the future again!”

“Kandie was a life saver! We had to arrange care for our guys with little notice and Kandie took them in! Her reviews are what made me choose her and it was a great choice. She was super accommodating and our dogs made themselves right at home as soon as we got there. She sent pictures and updates so I did t have to worry at all about how they were getting along in a new place. We will definitely hope to use Kandie next time Eddie and Indy need care :)”

“Cheree took such good care of my cat. I felt good knowing she (my cat) was in a loving home and was being cared for and looked after while I was away. She kept me updated and sent me pictures on how my girl was doing and I really appreciated that. I would definitely recommend her to look after your fur baby.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve cared for pets since I was young, helped friends and neighbours, and spent three years fostering dogs as a family. I truly love what I do. Pet care is naturally part of my daily routine. I’m home regularly, with plenty of time for walks, play, cuddles, feeding and keeping a comfortable, calm environment. I love making sure every dog feels safe, happy and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I provide a clean, secure and loving environment with plenty of supervision, outdoor time, play and rest. I take time to understand each dog’s personality, routine and needs, and treat every pet as an individual and part of the family.

About: Like many others, I have been blessed with having the ability to care for animals throughout my life. In 2015, I had the wonderful opportunity to follow my passion professionally. I began working in a veterinarian clinic as a receptionist, technician assistant and external boarding for cats. After the adoption of our beloved Trixie in 2018, my focus shifted to behavior training while continuing care within the small animal medical atmosphere. Recently, I became certified as a professional pet dog trainer and specialized in aggression/reactivity/seperation anxiety. I continue my education through conferences/mentor sessions and am working towards becoming CCPDT certified. I am also an enrichment scent work instructor. I also have my Canine First Aid certification. If you are looking for someone to care for your companion, and would like to add any of the services that are mentioned above during their time with me (or at another time), I would love to get to know you and your companion. I am currently a stay at home mom and provide individualized training consultations as well as general pet care during early mornings and evenings during the week (including weekends). I offer limited care (1 or 2 dogs at a time) in my own home during the day if need be. My only requirements are that your companion not have prey drive (I do have cats and young children) and are good with another female adult dog. I have a large fenced in yard, and can accommodate your specific instructions/requirements as much as possible. Your companion will always be supervised and never left unattended.

We do have cats in the home but they don’t care about other pets. Non smoking home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
