About: I learned the basics of dog training and grooming for my dog when he was a puppy (Bacho). Including crate training, bell training, potty on command, leash training and some basic commands like sit & lay down. I've also done some basic leash training with family friend's dogs. In my early teen years I also used to volunteer at Pet Land for a few days during summer break and clean/care for the critters there. I am no professional dog groomer but if your dog is well behaved for grooming I can brush your dog for a additional flat rate of $20 small/medium dog or $30 for a large dog. I do not clip nails or brush teeth. I work a seasonal job in the summertime, so during the winter I use the time to work on my digital art which is very mobile. Pet care is the perfect gig for me during the winter. I will simply exist in your space while caring for your critter. I would be bringing my laptop & drawing tablet to work on my projects (for longer stays). If there was an 'accident' in the house I am more than willing to clean it up as long as the cleaning supplies are provided.
“Mike took absolutely fantastic care of my two cats and kept me informed and updated throughout the whole time he was house sitting. My cats are usually a little skittish around new people but they loved Mike’s calm energy immediately.”

“We booked Matheu to look after our home and dog, April for 9 days during Christmas but we wanted to do a trial first to see if he was a good match. We tried this last Friday and I have to say that everything went well. He listened and follow all the routines, he was friendly and April seemed very happy when we were back home. He is definitely our person for next time.”

“Tiana was great! She took excellent care of our babies and even went above and beyond - we teach our dog tricks in Serbian, and Tiana was super accommodating with making sure to use the right words for commands. We came home to happy pets and a clean house. I would absolutely recommend her!”

“Richelle was an amazing pet sitter for Peggy Sue, Billie Jean and James.. We had no worries while we were away. They loved playing with little Aria and Richelle sent us videos everyday to assure us that our doggies were having a good time and being cared for.. If you are looking for a caring person to look after your pets, I would recommend Richelle as a pet sitter..”

About: A life-long animal lover, I’ve taken care of many beloved critters - big and small, from pet birds and rodents, to furry creatures (cats and dogs) to horses. A bit of an animal whisperer, I likely communicate better with them than people. Raising my own Entkebucher Mountain Dog and training her to be a service dog to bring with me to help provide support to others has taught me to be a better leader - to both animals and people, to be patient and understanding. I believe in positive reinforcement training and have trained my dog with this credo in mind. I’m reliable, patient and loving. My previous Entlebucher came into my life at age 8 and lived until 14.5 - a beautiful soul, I learned the joys and challenges of taking care of a senior dog. There are many cats in my life as well - I love to play with them (and dogs) as I feel that’s an important part of daily life. And can also just let them be when they want to be alone. I’m currently on a writing sabbatical and have plenty of time to take care of your pet/s. Ideally looking for longer term sitting in BC or AB. I love to walk and hike, no matter the weather, and am happy to bring your furry family member to explore new trails. As I am on sabbatical, I am looking for vacation pet sitting in your home. I’m flexible and happy to follow your instructions for caring for your pet. I share my own beloved fur baby with my former partner and would bring her with me, when it’s my turn to take care of her. She’s great with cats and makes friends fast with other dogs.
“Gabrielle was wonderful! We received a photo daily which put us at ease. Bailey ate well, had lots of excercise and clearly enjoyed her time with Gabrielle. I was so impressed when Gabrielle let me know that she brought Bailey to a puppy Valentine's celebration in Calgary- just because she thought that the dog would enjoy it! I came home to a spotless house and a happy and healthy puppy. There is no question that Gabrielle will be our go-to puppy sitter for the foreseeable future. A big "thank you" to Gabrielle from our whole family.”

“This has been my best experience with Rover in all these years. Tare Jo is an absolute gem. She had to deal with some aggression issues between her dog and mine, and she worked through it and found resolution without blame or judgement. The dogs were exercised multiple times per day and she kept in touch regularly with the sweetest of photos. My place was left cleaner than when I left, and all the bedding and towels were cleaned. Tara Jo is so very skilled, and I will certainly reach out to her in the future.”

“Tyler was great with our fur family. He sent photo updates everyday and left the house in sparkling clean condition. He was very easy to connect with. Our very person picky Dachshunds seem to like his company which is saying a lot! We look forward to hiring Tyler for our next trip.”
“We were absolutely thrilled with the care Liza provided for our two cats over the holidays! From the moment we met, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals. Both of our cats have their own unique personalities and needs and Liza handled both with such care and patience. She followed our detailed instructions perfectly, from feeding them at their specific times to making sure each cat got the right amount of attention. We were especially impressed by the daily updates, which included adorable photos and notes about how the cats were doing—this really reassured us while we were away. It was clear that the cats were comfortable and happy. We returned to find the house in perfect order, and most importantly, both cats were relaxed and content. It was clear they were in excellent hands the whole time we were away. Liza is trustworthy, caring, and professional, the ideal sitter for anyone looking for top-notch care. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”
