About: When it comes to pet sitting, I’ve been around the block! As a proud parent of three beautiful kitties, I understand that each cat has their own unique and special peculiarities. I also have raised, trained, and grew up with multiple dogs, and have pet sat independently for ages and ages! All pets seem to love me, even the ones with the most formidable walls will eventually break down with my kindness and soft-spokenness over time. I give them respect and space, and they always let their curiosity be the entry point to becoming best friends furever! I am currently working a full time job that’s a pretty standard Monday-Friday, but am available before and after those times as well as on my lunch breaks. If you’re away from home I’ve got you! Definitely don’t have any qualms with overnights on weekends and some week nights as well! I think communication and clarity is the foundation of trust, and I definitely anticipate giving you lots of frequent updates and photos of your fur kids while you’re away! In my own home, my pets are unique and they all require individual things - my one cat is visually impaired and I’m essentially his squire. I know habits and familiarity are always so important for pets to feel safe!

About: Hello! My name is Luisa, and my pets are my whole world. I promise to take care of your babies as if they were my own. I have previously completed a two-year apprenticeship under a force-free dog trainer in Calgary, and although I am not currently working as a trainer due to completing my master's, what I learned informs all my interactions with animals. Through fostering and our own pets, I have experience administering medications to a wide range of animals (dogs, cats, bearded dragons, geckos, hedgehogs). At home, my husband and I have two dogs, a cat, and a multitude of reptiles and exotics. We also foster from time to time, which has given us experience with so many other species and personalities. I am completing my master's degree and have a practicum placement from September to March, quite a distance from our home in SE Calgary. About: Ever since I was younger, I remember caring for animal well-being. I helped my mom with her boarding facility by watering and feeding the horses and helping with dewormer/medication. When I could throughout high school, I did pet sitting here and there for both cats and dogs as well as farm animals. I’ve also volunteered in several shelters around Red Deer, Alberta. I have taken one year of veterinary medical receptionist and have worked in a veterinary clinic for over a year. I am now enrolled in the veterinarian technician program and will be taking that for the next two years. I will be in school full-time however I am very open on weekends to play with your pups and once I have further knowledge on my school schedule, I will be available during holidays and long weekends. I am very attentive when it comes to being around animals whatever your pets routine may look like I can follow very easily to make you feel the most comfortable when leaving your pet alone with me.
