About: Ever since I was younger, I remember caring for animal well-being. I helped my mom with her boarding facility by watering and feeding the horses and helping with dewormer/medication. When I could throughout high school, I did pet sitting here and there for both cats and dogs as well as farm animals. I’ve also volunteered in several shelters around Red Deer, Alberta. I have taken one year of veterinary medical receptionist and have worked in a veterinary clinic for over a year. I am now enrolled in the veterinarian technician program and will be taking that for the next two years. I will be in school full-time however I am very open on weekends to play with your pups and once I have further knowledge on my school schedule, I will be available during holidays and long weekends. I am very attentive when it comes to being around animals whatever your pets routine may look like I can follow very easily to make you feel the most comfortable when leaving your pet alone with me.

About: Hello! My name is Luisa, and my pets are my whole world. I promise to take care of your babies as if they were my own. I am especially passionate about working with animals who may be fearful or have special needs. I have previously completed a two-year apprenticeship under a force-free dog trainer in Calgary, and although I am not currently working as a trainer due to completing my master's, what I learned informs all my interactions with animals. Through fostering and our own pets, I have experience administering medications to a wide range of animals (dogs, cats, bearded dragons, geckos, hedgehogs). At home, my husband and I have two dogs, a cat, and a multitude of reptiles and exotics. We also foster from time to time, which has given us experience with so many other species and personalities. I am completing my master's degree and have a practicum placement from September to March, quite a distance from our home in SE Calgary. I'm hoping to pet sit to save on some driving, and also to have animal companions during this time! This love has continued on with my own fur children I have 2 cats (6 and 4 years old) and a 2 year old 90lb Rhodesian Ridgeback dog who is super friendly and absolutely loves all humans and all dogs . Your animal(s) will be loved and spoiled as if they were my own 🐶 🐈 I currently work Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30, I am available for pet care services after those hours and all day on the weekends 🐶 🐈‍⬛ As of right now I will only be offering drop in visits for cats and dogs, dog walking and occasionally house sitting at your house. I don’t have a fenced yard so daycare or boarding at my place is more challenging unless, your dog is small and also cool with cats and another dog (requests for this service will be pending until further discussion with you) Drop in visits will include making sure your pets have food, fresh water, bathroom breaks, playtime and lots of pets… topped off with a little treat.. as long as the humans say it’s ok. I have experience with on leash walking and off leash walking in designated areas… I will only do off leash after I have gotten to know your dog better after multiple walks and he/she has good recall and will stay around me
