Sarah has watched my French Bulldog, Honey, multiple times and I can’t recommend her enough! She’s reliable and I trust her having access to my home when I’m not there. Honey is always taken care of and tired out after their walks and drop in visits together. I also appreciate that she always sends a picture of Honey so I know she’s in good hands while I’m out.

Chanda did a great job checking in on our cats and being reliable/communicative. I feel really comfortable letting her continue to coax our shy kitty out to get some love while we are away next time!

About: Ever since I was younger, I remember caring for animal well-being. I helped my mom with her boarding facility by watering and feeding the horses and helping with dewormer/medication. When I could throughout high school, I did pet sitting here and there for both cats and dogs as well as farm animals. I’ve also volunteered in several shelters around Red Deer, Alberta. I have taken one year of veterinary medical receptionist and have worked in a veterinary clinic for over a year. I am now enrolled in the veterinarian technician program and will be taking that for the next two years. I will be in school full-time however I am very open on weekends to play with your pups and once I have further knowledge on my school schedule, I will be available during holidays and long weekends. I am very attentive when it comes to being around animals whatever your pets routine may look like I can follow very easily to make you feel the most comfortable when leaving your pet alone with me.

About: I have experience with dogs and animals of all kinds and sizes. Here is a list for your reference. 12 year old Rottweiler. 2 year old black lab. 9 year old chihuahua. 5-10 year old Jack Russell. 5 year old Husky. 8 year old Saint Bernard. Fostered two 8 week old labs for saving grace. As well as grew up with yellow and golden labs from puppy till they passed 😢 Both my neighbours have dogs on each side of the fence and for that reason I am asking for well behaved animals as I don’t want to upset my neighbour's lives. I am an animal lover and enjoy playing catch as well as going for walks. I have one animal in my home, his name is tink and he is a 4 year old male neutered cat. I work part time and am a single mom that is usually available on short notice, as long as i do not have a prior commitment. We are a family of 3, myself and my two sons, ages 9 and 10. We have a small fenced yard and live in a townhouse complex.

About: About Me My name is Miranda, and I have over 20 years of professional experience working with dogs of many breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My background includes working with rescue dogs from a wide range of situations, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and behavior support. I previously worked as a Canine Behavioural Analyst with the Hamilton–Burlington SPCA, where I was responsible for assessing dogs and determining the most suitable home environment for each individual animal. This experience has given me a strong foundation in understanding canine behavior, stress signals, and individual care needs. I am happy to answer any questions and provide further details. Please feel free to reach out by message or phone. Home Environment Children live in the home and are respectful, calm, and experienced around animals. All interactions with pets are closely supervised, and rough or inappropriate behavior toward animals is not permitted. Maintaining a safe, calm environment for every pet in our care is a top priority. How We Care for Your Pet Dogs Dog Sitting While your dog is staying with us, we aim to replicate the structure and routine of their home as closely as possible. Feeding schedules, walk times, rest periods, and activity levels are customized to suit your dog’s individual needs. This approach helps reduce stress and allows dogs to settle into the new environment quickly and comfortably. Your dog will be cared for as if they were our own, and you will receive regular updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. Special requests and care instructions are always welcome. Drop-In Visits Drop-in visits are ideal for short trips, busy days, or when your pet simply needs some extra attention. These visits take place in your home, allowing your pet to remain in a familiar environment. Services include feeding, backyard bathroom breaks, and plenty of affection and companionship. Dog Walks Perfect for busy but responsible pet owners. Walks are approximately 30 minutes in your local neighbourhood and provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation for your dog. Cats Cats are cared for exclusively in their own home. This allows them to maintain their normal routine with minimal disruption. Visits are customized to your cat’s needs and can include feeding, litter maintenance, playtime, and companionship. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, with flexible availability and a focus on afternoons for walks, drop-in visits, and in-home care. This allows me to provide calm, attentive, and unrushed care while keeping pets on a consistent routine so they feel safe and comfortable. Care is tailored to each pet and the specific service being provided. For dog walks, I focus on safe, structured walks that suit the dog’s energy level and comfort, providing both physical exercise and mental stimulation. For drop-in visits with dogs and cats, care takes place in the pet’s home to maintain their normal routine. Visits include feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, basic cleanup as needed, companionship, and affection. I always prioritize calm, respectful handling and closely follow any instructions provided to ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for

There are 98 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Sylvan Lake. About 82% of Sylvan Lake sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Sylvan Lake stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sylvan Lake choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
