About: Hello! My name is Luisa, and my pets are my whole world. I promise to take care of your babies as if they were my own. I am especially passionate about working with animals who may be fearful or have special needs. I have previously completed a two-year apprenticeship under a force-free dog trainer in Calgary, and although I am not currently working as a trainer due to completing my master's, what I learned informs all my interactions with animals. Through fostering and our own pets, I have experience administering medications to a wide range of animals (dogs, cats, bearded dragons, geckos, hedgehogs). Please let me know if you have any questions, I'd love to answer them. I am in Red Deer Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I can be somewhat flexible around this; if you need overnight care slightly outside these parameters, please feel free to reach out! My pets would describe me as a helicopter mom, I would describe me as attentive! When I travel, our pet-sitter gets a multi-page document on everyone's needs, so I am not intimidated to receive the same; this just means I can adjust my routine to your pet(s)'...it is their home after all!

If you're looking for a pet sitter I highly reccomend Chanda. She has great communication and we appreciated the photos she sent of our pup. It made us trust that we left our pet in good hands. This was our first ever pet sitter and such a postive experience. Booking was easy. Chanda was very professional and puntual. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!

About: Hi there! My name is Debra and I've owned dogs (big & small) for over 40 years. I love all breeds and have experience with training, showing, caring and raising. I currently have one beloved dog of my own, Arlo, whom would love to have your dog come to stay! Arlo is a 7 year old neutered male. I'm a very active senior that has fulltime availability. My non-smoking home is perfectly situated with a large fenced yard and close proximity to walking trails. I'm great with puppies, I have ample experience with house training and obedience training. An outdoor kennel is right outside my back door and dogs can be let out as often as they need. During the day, your dog can expect walks around the neighborhood and lots of outside yard playtime. During the evening, your dog can expect cuddles, downtime and will sleep in my bedroom. Any questions, please feel free to ask! I can't wait to hear from you! I am currently retired so I can host your pet all day & night. My availability is 7 days a week (unless otherwise booked off on the schedule). I have a fenced yard to keep your pet safe. My dog is free to roam the house, however, I can easily crate or pen your dog depending on your preference.

About: Ever since I was younger, I remember caring for animal well-being. I helped my mom with her boarding facility by watering and feeding the horses and helping with dewormer/medication. When I could throughout high school, I did pet sitting here and there for both cats and dogs as well as farm animals. I’ve also volunteered in several shelters around Red Deer, Alberta. I have taken one year of veterinary medical receptionist and have worked in a veterinary clinic for over a year. I am now enrolled in the veterinarian technician program and will be taking that for the next two years. I will be in school full-time however I am very open on weekends to play with your pups and once I have further knowledge on my school schedule, I will be available during holidays and long weekends. I am very attentive when it comes to being around animals whatever your pets routine may look like I can follow very easily to make you feel the most comfortable when leaving your pet alone with me.

About: I have experience with dogs and animals of all kinds and sizes. Here is a list for your reference. 12 year old Rottweiler. 2 year old black lab. 9 year old chihuahua. 5-10 year old Jack Russell. 5 year old Husky. 8 year old Saint Bernard. Fostered two 8 week old labs for saving grace. As well as grew up with yellow and golden labs from puppy till they passed 😢 Both my neighbours have dogs on each side of the fence and for that reason I am asking for well behaved animals as I don’t want to upset my neighbour's lives. I am an animal lover and enjoy playing catch as well as going for walks. I have one animal in my home, his name is tink and he is a 4 year old male neutered cat. I work part time and am a single mom that is usually available on short notice, as long as i do not have a prior commitment. We are a family of 3, myself and my two sons, ages 9 and 10. We have a small fenced yard and live in a townhouse complex.

About: I am a kind and attentive person who has had lots of experience with my own and other’s pets. Your baby will be in good hands :) I work part time so have lots of time to walk or check in on pups and kitties. I am available for overnight sitting most days as well. I have a small and modest home. I am open to providing accommodations for cats and small dogs during the day and/or overnight. Unfortunately there is not enough space for larger dogs.

There are 94 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Lacombe. About 81% of Lacombe sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Lacombe stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lacombe choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
