About: My pet care experience started 10 years ago - my dad took me to his best friends house and they told me their dog loved going on adventures but they weren’t able to get out much. From there I started pickup him up for walks and hikes, and eventually I ended up pet sitting a bunch of different times. My favourite memory was when he hopped the fence and ran next door and waited for me at the basement suite door because he knew I was cleaning it. We became inseparable! Eventually I got my own dog, became friends with a dog trainer and have spent so many hours working and learning as much as I can about dogs. My kiddo is a little older and now I’d love to offer services to others. I work remotely taking clients so I am available most days of the week t take care of your furry friends! We have lots of green space at nearby parks for decompressing and sniffing and live in a great neighbourhood for dog walks. I have a fully fenced yard, as well as a fenced dog run. Inside the house I do require dogs to be crate trained for overnights. I offer dogs clear communication and structure in my home, with a guarantee their needs will be met. One of my best friends is a dog trainer and I work heavily with my own dog to ensure needs like prey drive (play) and pack drive are met. As well as plenty of time to decompress.
“Karen was wonderful to deal with. You can tell she spent the full half hour playing, cuddling and entertaining our cats. She provided wonderful videos and pictures to keep us in the loop. When we’ve left the cats in the past, they left signs of their distress, such as an uncharacteristic vomit on the bed! Under Karen’s care there were no such signs. They were happy, well adjusted and calm when we got home. I would not hesitate to hire Karen again to look after our kitties and to recommend her to anyone needing some loving car for their pets.”

Usually, the animals on a farm were our playmates when we were children, and they played the role of the family protector. And now I like to do the same for them. “Henri had the BEST time with Melanie and her son! They took him on hikes, let him splash and play in the water nearby, and spent lots of time playing fetch - his favourite. Melanie was attentive, had great communication throughout his stay, and took such wonderful care of our fur baby. We loved receiving updates and could tell Henri was happy, well-loved, and having so much fun. We’ll definitely be dropping Henri off at Camp Melanie again for future stays. Highly recommend!”

They are genuinely amazing people who love animals and that is very very evident by their dedication and how often they kept us in the loop with our puppy during his boarding. We had some anxiety with this being Ruckus’ first time away from home but any worries were put to ease when we immediately saw how happy he was with all the pictures and videos that we received throughout his stay. He was absolutely spoiled with all the attention, the trail and pack walks as well as the chance of being on their furniture 😂 We cannot wait to trust them again with our pupperino. Bonnie was rested and relaxed when we picked her up! We have already booked Karlee for a longer boarding stay next month.”
