About: We moved to the Bow Valley a few months ago... but apparently left our furry friends behind! After years of pet sitting for friends in Vancouver, we've been missing the wagging tails, wet noses, cuddles and a little four legged chaos. Time to fill that void! Corinne has a very flexible schedule at the moment, while Aaron is working from 7am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. We live active lifestyles but also balance that out with relaxing at home. 4th Floor apartment with a balcony, no pets but two loving humans who love the great outdoors and will provide any dogs needs inside and out.
About: I'm sorry, but I can only take small breeds of dogs at the moment. I have extensive experience with all breeds of dogs. I had a boarding at home business for 10 years with over 100 clients who booked a year in advance for my services. I will only take one dog at a time. This is ideal if your dog does not get along with other dogs. Also, will get a lot of one on one time. I can also provide home visit services. I am now retired so have plenty of time to care for dogs in my home. I am home most of the time so your dog will not be left alone much. I can provide home visits as well. Lots of care and attention will be provided for your dog. Long walks multiple times during the day.
About: Hey! I’m Sarah and I am arguably the world’s biggest dog lover! I’ve grown up with dogs, and really really missed having them around when I moved to Canada from the UK 5 years ago. Because of that, I’ve been volunteering with a local, foster-based dog rescue for the past 3 years…which of course led to me adopting my own precious pup from them! I am experienced with a huge range of dog breeds, sizes and temperaments and have been fortunate enough to receive extensive behavioural and safety training whilst working with the rescue. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend soon! I currently work very flexible hours so I can be available as often as required to help you out with your pups scheduling needs. Walks, drop-in visits or home stays - you name it and I can make it work for you! My pet friendly home has a wonderful, resident pup to keep your four-legged friend company. We’re comfortable if you’re comfortable - crate or no crate, on leash walks or dog parks, it’s totally up to you!
“Élise came by to hang out with Archie while we went out for dinner. Archie was immediately all over her as soon as they met, and he’s the best judge of character! Thanks Élise for looking after our little guy!”

About: Experienced dog-sitters from London, UK. Looked after two dogs loyally for 3.5yrs: day care, boarding and little holidays. My husband & I have moved to Canada last year and were missing our doggo-time so we set ourselves up on Rover. We now have vast experience of looking after new dogs (often on holiday), for single days, or up to a week. We are quick to bond and patient to understand your dog. We will give them the care, entertainment and exercise they need to have a great day 'away from the parents'! I work 100% remotely as an environmental sustainability consultant; my husband works as a mountain guide in the Rockies. We lead active lifestyles, but also love relaxing at home. Our building is pet-friendly, and we have a mini dog park outside. We have hard flooring throughout our flat but we would be happy to lay down additional rugs if required, depending on your pet's preferences. We don't have any stairs.
“Ofer took great care of our cat while we were away. He had excellent communication before we hired him and during the visits. We always looked forward to the updates and pictures. We’d be happy to recommend Ofer to anyone looking for a great cat sitter!”

“Laura is awesome! She looked after my cats while I was away for two weeks through drop in visits. She provided daily updates with pictures to let me know how they were. I would highly recommend Laura’s services ?”
“Booked Janine for a second time and I could tell my cat Daeny has really loved having Janine drop-in while we were away. Janine followed our instructions well and communicated very well with us if there were any issues. We will definitely continue to rebook in the future! We also appreciate their availability for holidays where most sitters may not be available.”

About: Hi! We’re Will and Ellie (Wellie) — a British couple living permanently in Canada who work in the entertainment industry and love spending our downtime with furry friends. I (Ellie) have been fostering dogs since I was a teenager — especially pups who needed a little extra love, whether they were seniors, had medical issues, or came from tough backgrounds. I’ve helped care for lots of dogs who needed time to heal before finding their forever homes, so I’m super comfortable with giving meds, managing mobility, and just being a calm, reassuring presence. I’ve also looked after dogs with reactivity — whether that’s around other animals, people, or wildlife — and I always tailor care to what each dog needs to feel safe. Will works in wildlife and has tons of experience around animals too, so between the two of us, your pup is in good hands! We’ve both done in-home pet sitting (dogs and cats!) and have experience with everything from high-energy pups to cuddle bugs. We bought a house here in Canada just a year ago, and we're excited to start helping local families with their pets soon! We both work from home, ensuring any furry visitors have maximum attention and strokes throughout the day. During the week, we regularly let pets out into the yard for breaks, as well as two walks a day (to stretch our legs and theirs!). On the weekends we love to adventure into the parks for hiking or lake days, and we're always eager to bring your pup with us! We live in a house with a fully fenced yard that’s perfect for potty breaks and playtime. There’s a security camera system on the property, and we never leave dogs outside alone — we’re always right there with them. We also have indoor cameras so we can check in on your pup if we need to run out for a quick errand, just to make sure they’re safe and settled. Our yard backs right onto beautiful forest trails, and we’re a short walk from a great dog park too. That said, with unpredictable wildlife in the area, we always keep dogs on-leash during walks unless we’ve discussed otherwise with you in advance — and only if we both feel confident in your pup’s recall and comfort level. Your dog’s safety (and ours!) is the top priority, and we want to make sure everyone stays safe and happy no matter where we’re adventuring. We’re both used to handling outdoor animal encounters and tailor each outing to what your dog enjoys — whether that’s quiet sniffy walks, socialising, or just a quick pee break in the backyard.

“Brooke happily worked with me to meet Metsä’s timing needs for two in home visits, bathroom breaks, walks, and food/water while I was away on a one night backcountry trip. Because Metsä is a high energy 10 year old dog, who needs to be walked twice a day, we truly appreciate all Brooke did for us. I came home to a happy mellow and relaxed Metsä!”

“We have a highly anxious 6 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and Harmony was our first Rover experience. We couldn't have picked a better person for the job. She was fantastic from beginning to end. We could tell right away she is experienced with anxious dogs and we felt instantly at ease that our girl was in good hands. She is a lovely human who I would love to have in my home and take care of our Charlotte any time. Thank you for your patience and kind heart, Harmony!”

About: I am a dog lover who also loves travel therefore don’t currently have one. Looking forward to meet yours! I am very active, affectionate and responsible. I have owned 2 dogs (Germand Sheperd and Golden Retriever/ Aussie Shep) , grew up looking after my family friend’s dogs and have lived with many other dogs. Happy to play, pet, feed, cuddle, walk, run and anything else that would make your furry friend happy! Funny fact; I sometimes go to the dog park just to hang out with dogs... I mostly have experience with medium/bigger sizes dogs but I have also lived with small dogs and cats. I am so excited to live in such a dog friendly place and can’t wait to meet more dogs :) I am currently off work therefore I will have plenty of time to spend with your dog and to go on adventures whether it be walking, running or the dog park I will follow whatever protocols you have in place in order to ensure your pet’s happiness and safety. Just let me know your preferences :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Canmore
I truly don’t think there is a better dog sitter in Canmore. Nicola was nothing but helpful from the first time I reached out. We were camping in Canmore and had to fly home for a funeral. We had never left 2 of our 3 dogs before. Nicola came to meet them ahead of time and followed our many directions perfectly. We had a senior dog who is so shy and anxious around new people and Nicola was so patient with her and won her over. Our 7 year old dog was extremely anxious and Nicola tried everything to get her to eat-went so far above her job description. She also gave her the meds we requested. And we also had my sister’s 6 month old puppy-who of course had tummy problems when we left. Nicola handled everything we threw her way so well. She gave us updates after each visits. Her daughter even got Lily to eat when I thought it was lost cause. And when we had major flight delays, Nicola was willing to be “on-call” for the dogs the next morning. You can tell Nicola really cares and she does such a great job. Too bad we don’t live here-we would love to use her services again!

There are 69 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Canmore. About 92% of Canmore sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Canmore stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Canmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
