About: We’re Dave and Candice — lifelong dog lovers with a soft spot for dogs who need a little extra understanding. We have a pet-free and child-free home, making it a calm, quiet space where your dog will get our full attention. We have extensive experience with reactive and sensitive dogs. Our beloved Ella was part of our family for 10 years after being rehomed twice due to her reactivity toward people and other dogs. With patience, structure, and training, we helped her feel safe and confident again. That experience taught us how to read canine body language, manage triggers, and create an environment where dogs of all temperaments can thrive. We’re also comfortable caring for senior dogs and those who require medication or special accommodations — just let’s chat beforehand to make sure we can meet your pup’s needs. We both work from home full-time, so your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. Because we don’t commute or have other pets, your pup will never be left alone for long stretches. Walks and playtime are part of our daily routine — we love taking breaks to get fresh air and give your dog plenty of exercise, snuggles, and attention. We take pride in providing a safe, predictable, and loving environment for every dog in our care. While we don’t have a fenced yard, we live near several parks and scenic walking trails, where we’ll take your dog on leash walks tailored to their comfort and energy level. We don’t visit off-leash parks, as we prefer controlled, calm settings. We’re happy to follow any routines or rules you’ve set at home — whether that means maintaining feeding schedules, respecting boundaries, or allowing couch cuddles if that’s your dog’s style. Our goal is to make your dog feel secure, relaxed, and cared for, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.

About: My experience includes hands-on care with the SPCA, as well as volunteering at a dog sanctuary, where I cared for a wide range of dog breeds! I’ve had a rural upbringing and have grown up with dogs my whole life, so looking after them feels very natural to me 😊. I’m confident with different temperaments and focus on consistent care. I’m currently in Canmore on a working holiday visa from Scotland. I have a very flexible schedule. Working part-time in town means I’m available most days for walks and drop-ins, whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening 😊. I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care! For 25 years, I have had Jack Russell Terriers, a breed known for their intense hunting drive, intelligence and energy. My current pup Dan enjoys long walks around the farm, but also loves his home comforts. I miss the companionship of a pup and would love to look after yours! I keep things simple by sticking to your pet’s usual routine. Walks are all about fresh air, exercise, and plenty of sniff time, while drop-ins include feeding, water, bathroom breaks, and some company. I make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable 💕

About: I've always had dogs in my life, from tiny dachshunds to a great dane. I started a Rover account after we said goodbye to our beloved family dog, Mya, after 11.5 years of adventures together. I missed having a dog to share my love for an active mountain lifestyle with and encourage me to get outside in all types of weather. Soon after creating the account, I deactivated it to welcome a new member named Bailey to our family. Bailey is a 3 year old German Shepherd x Lab Retriever. She will be home during doggie day care so your dog should be good with other dogs. Walks can be done separately if that better suits your dog. I am comfortable with dogs of any age from puppy to senior and am regularly entrusted with caring for many friends dogs. While your dog is in my care, I'm happy to implement any training techniques you may be working on, including ecollar. If looking for full day care for your dog, and have any concerns about compatibility, please book a few days out so that our pets can have a chance to meet to ensure a good match before welcoming them into our home. I am an active person and love spending time outdoors, especially with the company of a furry friend. I currently work only 2-3 days/week, and am off throughout summer, therefore I have availability and flexibility throughout the day to play with your pup, offer pee breaks, take walks, visit dog parks, etc. Rovers availability options don’t quite accurately reflect my true windows of availability so get in touch and we will figure it out. I do have a 11 year old son so if requests are outside of school hours, there’s a chance he may be present - please let me know if your dog is not okay with children. I have a fenced yard and also live very close to 2 fenced dog parks within Canmore. I have a reliable vehicle and am willing to transport your dog to their favourite park or hike.

About: I grew up with several family pets and my wife and I currently have 2 very active Australian Shepherds. My wife and I are outdoorsy and love walking, hiking, training and playing with our dogs. I’m currently available for walking services as well as drop-in visits. If you have a fenced area, I may also be able to provide doggy playdates with one of my Aussies to give your pet some playtime! In 2024 I’m available Saturdays & Sundays (usually anytime) and Mon-Fri (only after 6pm). My days off largely revolve around time with my wife and dogs outdoors, so some extra walks/drop-ins are easy to fit into my schedule. I’m happy to do drop-in services, and offer stimulating play sessions as well as exercise to keep your pet(s) occupied while you’re absent. One of my Aussies can join for added socialization/play sessions. A meet and greet is suggested prior to our first play session to ensure the dogs are compatible.

About: Since I was a child, animals have always been part of my life — cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish. I’ve always enjoyed taking care of them and understanding their needs. Back in Czechia, we have two cats (one of them is mine) and a dog. Whenever other family members were away, I took full care of all the animals, making sure they are fed, exercised, and feel safe and comfortable. I’ve also pet-sat for my sister’s cat several times, handling feeding, litter care, playtime, and providing calm companionship. Unfortunately I was not able to bring my pet with me to Canada, so I am more than happy to take care of your pet! In case of cat sitting I can check up on your cat at least twice a day and provide playtime and snuggles. As for dog care and walk your dog on my days off :) I treat each animal as it is my own, so with love and respect. I am reliable and responsible and will always make sure your pet is feeling safe.

About: I have been pet sitting for family, friends and through pet sitting websites for many years. I absolutely love pets and am looking to fill the void of missing mine whilst living in Canada. But if your pet prefers to just chill on the couch and cuddle up while watching Netflix, that’s perfectly fine too! I am meticulous, organized, and reliable. I will follow your instructions to the letter and ensure your pet’s routine is maintained. I’m also comfortable administering oral medication if needed. When your pet is with me, they will be safe, loved, and treated like family. 💕 I have a flexible schedule that changes from week to week. I tend to work more part-time than full-time and have a hybrid work setup, spending some time at the office but mostly working virtually, from home. When I’m at your home, I’ll follow your instructions carefully and ensure everything is safe, clean, and comfortable for your pet. I’ll stick to their usual routine, whether that means feeding, walking, playtime, or just quiet companionship. My goal is to make sure they feel secure and loved while you’re away.

Our building is pet-friendly, and we have a mini dog park outside. We have hard flooring throughout our flat but we would be happy to lay down additional rugs if required, depending on your pet's preferences. We don't have any stairs.

About: I took a break from Rover due to a busy work schedule but am back and excited to host your doggos! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I love to spend time with awesome dogs by taking them for walks and hikes! All doggy day care includes at least one 5-10km hike/walk or a combination of two 3-5km walks. I have experience with all breeds, particularly working dogs - cattle dogs, Aussie shepherds, border collies. My own dog, and best friend Metsä is an 13 year old blue heeler and I understand the level of activity and mental stimulation working dogs need. Metsä receives a minimum of 2 hours of exercise per day. I am keen to meet new people who have dogs of all breeds who could be new friends for Metsä and me! If you are interested in dog walking and would like to set up a meet and greet ahead of time, this may be possible. When I am not travelling for my job, I work from home full. Metsä and I love having another four legged friend at home to go for a nice hike with. I work from a home office and always have your dog in the room with me during the daytime hours. When we go on a walk and out for bathroom breaks your dog will remain on leash at all times.

For boarding and daycare services, I live in pet-friendly apartment building with close proximity to quiet trails and a green space outside for quick and easy access to regular potty breaks. Work from home Monday-Friday. I may have the occasional virtual meeting to attend, but outside of that I have flexibility to tend to your pets needs throughout the day. I work with owners to maintain a consistent schedule and training for their pet. Owners are required to provide any specific tools (crate, leashes, etc.) that they would like me to use.
