I have had Boxers and Boston terriers. 2 very different breeds requiring different approaches to training and care. Whether you have a puppy which requires pee breaks and basic command training, or slower walks for a senior dog, I am familiar with both. I am an active person and looking forward to providing care to your pet as if they were my own.

I provide attentive, individualized care based on each pet’s needs and routine. In my home and/or a client’s home, I ensure pets have fresh water, appropriate feeding schedules, regular exercise, playtime, and companionship. I follow any specific instructions regarding medications, training, dietary requirements, or behavioral needs. I keep the environment clean and safe, monitor pets for signs of illness or distress, and provide updates to owners as requested. My goal is to help pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible.

Nicola was wonderful with my dog Jericho!
I truly don’t think there is a better dog sitter in Canmore. Nicola was nothing but helpful from the first time I reached out. We were camping in Canmore and had to fly home for a funeral. We had never left 2 of our 3 dogs before. Nicola came to meet them ahead of time and followed our many directions perfectly. We had a senior dog who is so shy and anxious around new people and Nicola was so patient with her and won her over. Our 7 year old dog was extremely anxious and Nicola tried everything to get her to eat-went so far above her job description. She also gave her the meds we requested. And we also had my sister’s 6 month old puppy-who of course had tummy problems when we left. Nicola handled everything we threw her way so well. She gave us updates after each visits. Her daughter even got Lily to eat when I thought it was lost cause. And when we had major flight delays, Nicola was willing to be “on-call” for the dogs the next morning. You can tell Nicola really cares and she does such a great job. Too bad we don’t live here-we would love to use her services again!
Nicola was amazing with Charlie. So lucky to have such a caring person take care of him while we explored Canmore.

Nicola is truly wonderful! She’s responsive, friendly, and accommodating. She’s taken care of Bean on several occasions (and sometimes even on short notice). She’s attentive to our pets’ needs and keeps us well informed (with photos, details, and a completed report). Bean seemed very happy to spend time with Nicola! I recommend her without hesitation and will definitely be using her services again very soon.
Nicola W. is organized, dependable, and easy to communicate with. She clearly loves animals and is great with pets! She takes great care of them and always makes sure they’re safe and comfortable. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.

Schedule
On a career break and looking to spend my days outside on adventures with a furry friend. Available most days of the week and can be flexible on time. Morning, day or evening, I can give your dog a walk or drop in to feed them. Life is busy and knowing that your dog is being well cared for and walked really helps ease your mind. Also if you are travelling, I know sometimes you may want to go for dinner or do activities where unfortunately our furry family members aren’t invited. I can take your dog for a few hours to let you do that.
