We’re Dave and Candice — lifelong dog lovers with a soft spot for dogs who need a little extra understanding. We have a pet-free and child-free home, making it a calm, quiet space where your dog will get our full attention. We have extensive experience with reactive and sensitive dogs. Our beloved Ella was part of our family for 10 years after being rehomed twice due to her reactivity toward people and other dogs. With patience, structure, and training, we helped her feel safe and confident again. That experience taught us how to read canine body language, manage triggers, and create an environment where dogs of all temperaments can thrive. We’re also comfortable caring for senior dogs and those who require medication or special accommodations — just let’s chat beforehand to make sure we can meet your pup’s needs.

Both David and Candice took great care of Kiya. Allowing us to take our kids on adventures throughout both days of our trip. They were very flexible with our schedule. The communication was excellent and they even helped me with using the app for the first time. They were very patient and helped Kiya build trust. Dave took great care of our 8-week-old baby! He was easy to reach, very attentive, and flexible. I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again! 😀😀😀
This was our first time using Rover and also otter’s very first time walking with a new person other than family. Dave was very attentive in listening to our wishes with Otter’s on going walking/training. Otter took to Dave immediately which was reassuring. We have already booked a second walk!!

Schedule
We both work from home full-time, so your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. Because we don’t commute or have other pets, your pup will never be left alone for long stretches. Walks and playtime are part of our daily routine — we love taking breaks to get fresh air and give your dog plenty of exercise, snuggles, and attention.

We take pride in providing a safe, predictable, and loving environment for every dog in our care. While we don’t have a fenced yard, we live near several parks and scenic walking trails, where we’ll take your dog on leash walks tailored to their comfort and energy level. We don’t visit off-leash parks, as we prefer controlled, calm settings. We’re happy to follow any routines or rules you’ve set at home — whether that means maintaining feeding schedules, respecting boundaries, or allowing couch cuddles if that’s your dog’s style. Our goal is to make your dog feel secure, relaxed, and cared for, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
A typical day
A typical day with us is calm, structured, and full of attention. Since we both work from home, your dog will enjoy constant companionship — whether that’s relaxing nearby while we work or joining us for breaks throughout the day. Mornings usually start with a walk through the nearby parks or trails, followed by breakfast and some quiet time. During the day, we mix in playtime, training reinforcement, or simply cozy companionship depending on your dog’s personality and energy level. In the evenings, we like to unwind with another walk around the neighborhood, followed by cuddles on the couch (if allowed!) before bedtime. Every dog is different, so we tailor the routine to match your pup’s preferences and comfort.
