About: I’ve had animals by my side since the day I was born-cats, dogs, and everything in between. I volunteer with GALS Animal Society, caring for pets from newborn bottle babies to seniors crossing the rainbow bridge. Animals just get me-they always seem to know I’m a safe, loving soul. Honestly, I prefer pets to most people, and I treat every fur baby like family. I’m currently not working, so I have a super flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve-day or night! I’m happy to care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable, but I can also welcome them into mine. I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and fresh air adventures. Your pet will be loved like one of my own! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether in your home or mine, I create a calm, loving, and reliable environment where pets feel secure, seen, and truly at ease. I follow your routines closely, respect each animal’s unique needs, and build trust through gentle care, consistency, and affection. You can relax knowing your furry family member is in kind and capable hands.

About: I have taken care of kittens and puppies days after being born as well as older animals and everything in between. I have been fostering kittens since I was ten with the City of Calgary animal services, and I have been volunteering with “GALS” animal rescue in the summer when I am home from uni. They are an organization that rescues animals who have been abandoned, at large, or surrendered and insure they get a loving forever home. We do rehabilitation with animals who have been abused or injured and socialize all animals with other dogs and cats to insure they are a perfect fit in their new homes. I also have 2 golden retrievers who are both 2 years as well as a tuxedo cat who is 8, they were all adopted from Animal Services for the City of Calgary. I am very passionate about animal care and love what I do. This summer I drove me and my sister to Hanna, Alberta to meet with a woman from La Ronge, Saskatchewan to rescue 21 puppies and dogs from the wild fires, it was a difficult game of Tetris but we managed to get them all in. We then took them to Invermere, BC where GALS is located and they have all found their forever homes. I love being around animals and would love to help you and your fur baby. I am a university student at uleth and am away from home. I am used to constantly being surrounded by animals and would love to be able to hangout and take care of your animals to allow me to be around animals again. I am available after 2 on Monday through Thursday, and anytime on the other days. Because I am away from home I am staying on campus so I am unable to board dogs or cats over night and I don’t have a yard but do go for regular walks. I have a lot of experience with safety for animals because of my volunteer experience and would love to take your animals on walks or do house visits to hangout with your pets there.

About: I've had animals since I could walk. Through childhood I had rabbits, budgie birds, a cat, and always had puppies and/or dogs. I have extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of many sizes, breeds and energy levels. I raised my own German Shepherd puppy from 8 weeks old through adulthood and into her senior years, giving me a strong foundation in puppy training, large-breed exercise and mental stimulation needs, structured routine, and senior dog care. I've also fostered puppies for the last 3 years, gaining experience with early socialization, basic training, potty routines, and helping dogs adjust to new environments. For the last 15+ years, I've provided dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting for community members, friends and family. I'm comfortable with both high-energy dogs and smaller companion dogs, and I feel strongly about the importance to tailor care based on each individual dog. My experience includes feeding, walking, administering various medication, grooming, reinforcing good leash manners, maintaining consistent schedule, and providing attentive in-home care. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and adapting care based on dogs age/needs. They're all so quirky, with their own needs, preferences, and moods! And that's my favorite part :) Having had my own animals, and having been on the other side of looking for a trusted, reliable sitter, I understand how big of a trust it requires and I empathize with you wanting the very best for your pet. I'm genuinely so looking forward to meeting and spending time with your special companion! I work Monday to Friday with a mix of in office and remote days. This allows me to offer reliable morning and evening care on week days, drop ins on select days, and flexible availability on weekends. When house sitting, I stay overnight and provide consistent care before and after work, with the added bonus of daytime availability on remote workdays. In more detail - pet care fits naturally in my routine. I enjoy being outside and exploring which makes daily walks something I genuinely look forward to - especially with a buddy! Im also happy to stay in and cook or craft, giving space for providing calm and attentive companionship to the more low key, relaxed fluffs. Weekends are free game for whatever your pet is up for! As a previous homeowner and longtime pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust somebody to take proper care of your home and to know your pet is being properly cared for. I assure you I will treat your home with care, respect privacy, and will have a small footprint. I will keep things clean and leave it as I found it. I follow all care instructions closely (feeding schedules, medication, routine, and household guidelines. I'm mindful of home quirks like doors, gates, locks, lights and always do a safety check before coming and going. I value the importance of keeping pets in their home turf, their comfortable environment to reduce stress, maintain routines and help them feel safe and cared for while you're away. Communication is important to me, Im very happy to provide regular updates and photos and will always reach out immediately if anything seems out of the ordinary. I'm happy to follow your preferences on frequency of update. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pet and home is in safe, reliable hands.

About: I have taken care of my own dog who passed away at 16 years young. I am comfortable to meet the attention of puppies, as well as understand the needs and care of older dogs. I have always taken care of friends dogs, and very excitedly began pet sitting in 2023 when I lived in Australia (different app, so I am now creating an account in Canada). I am now home in Canada, and excited to continue my pet sitting journey :) I currently work in Invermere but am happy to to discuss how my schedule will look like around dog sits. I am a active person and am outside on a walk, trail run, or bike ride nearly every day. This is great news for those with active pets! I have always looked after pets in my apartment, which means I am very accomodating to walks and bathroom breaks. For dogs I can be flexbile for 3, 5 or however many outings the owner recommends.

About: I have grown up around dogs and currently have a 5 year old mixed breed rescue from Romania who I adopted at 5 months old. I am used to a talkative and active dog who likes multiple walks a day and lots of play time. I love finding new walks and giving him time to explore and enjoy. I have looked after friend and family dogs regularly for short and overnight stays. I'm currently working part time, so plenty of time to play/walk your dogs and pups. I am available to house sit, walk and drop in any day of the week (weekdays pm) I will always try to create a safe environment, follow instructions diligently, and provide lots of playtime and affection. I am available for dog walking, drop ins and overnight stays in your home. I can also provide daily photo/video updates.

Sophie took great care of our senior cat who requires medication. It can sometimes be hard to trust someone new with your pet, but she was super communicative and I felt confident going on our trip and knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Invermere on Rover is $38.85 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Invermere stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Invermere choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
