About: I've had animals since I could walk. Through childhood I had rabbits, budgie birds, a cat, and always had puppies and/or dogs. I have extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of many sizes, breeds and energy levels. I raised my own German Shepherd puppy from 8 weeks old through adulthood and into her senior years, giving me a strong foundation in puppy training, large-breed exercise and mental stimulation needs, structured routine, and senior dog care. I've also fostered puppies for the last 3 years, gaining experience with early socialization, basic training, potty routines, and helping dogs adjust to new environments. For the last 15+ years, I've provided dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting for community members, friends and family. I'm comfortable with both high-energy dogs and smaller companion dogs, and I feel strongly about the importance to tailor care based on each individual dog. My experience includes feeding, walking, administering various medication, grooming, reinforcing good leash manners, maintaining consistent schedule, and providing attentive in-home care. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and adapting care based on dogs age/needs. They're all so quirky, with their own needs, preferences, and moods! And that's my favorite part :) Having had my own animals, and having been on the other side of looking for a trusted, reliable sitter, I understand how big of a trust it requires and I empathize with you wanting the very best for your pet. I'm genuinely so looking forward to meeting and spending time with your special companion! I work Monday to Friday with a mix of in office and remote days. This allows me to offer reliable morning and evening care on week days, drop ins on select days, and flexible availability on weekends. When house sitting, I stay overnight and provide consistent care before and after work, with the added bonus of daytime availability on remote workdays. In more detail - pet care fits naturally in my routine. I enjoy being outside and exploring which makes daily walks something I genuinely look forward to - especially with a buddy! Im also happy to stay in and cook or craft, giving space for providing calm and attentive companionship to the more low key, relaxed fluffs. Weekends are free game for whatever your pet is up for! As a previous homeowner and longtime pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust somebody to take proper care of your home and to know your pet is being properly cared for. I assure you I will treat your home with care, respect privacy, and will have a small footprint. I will keep things clean and leave it as I found it. I follow all care instructions closely (feeding schedules, medication, routine, and household guidelines. I'm mindful of home quirks like doors, gates, locks, lights and always do a safety check before coming and going. I value the importance of keeping pets in their home turf, their comfortable environment to reduce stress, maintain routines and help them feel safe and cared for while you're away. Communication is important to me, Im very happy to provide regular updates and photos and will always reach out immediately if anything seems out of the ordinary. I'm happy to follow your preferences on frequency of update. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pet and home is in safe, reliable hands.

About: I've always loved animals. Over the years I've cared for many pets of all breeds and sizes for family and friends. I have experience volunteering at veterinary offices, taken courses on animal behaviour, and even spent some time looking after lion cubs. I work from home, so I'm very available for your pets companionship & exercise needs. Whether they're high-energy or a senior, I love providing walks, training, mental stimulation and relaxing animal Reiki sessions! I'm an early riser, I work from home and I enjoy going for daily hikes so your pet will fit right into my daily routine. I have an unfenced yard and live in an apartment so your pet must be able to make it up stairs. Able to crate if necessary. Happy to take pets on leashed or unleashed walks, depending on owner preference and the relationship I develop with your pet.

About: Hi my name is Lauren. I am an experienced dog owner, previously owning and training two very different breeds, Tasha, a Doberman, and Lyra, a Maltease, who have both sadly passed. Participated in puppy training classes for both dogs, and also looked after Lyra through health issues in her later life, when she struggled to go on walks. I have experience sitting for colleagues, and for clients on Rover, ranging in sizes and disabilities. I have also volunteered for several years walking kennelled dogs. Working with various sized dogs, harnesses, temperaments, exercise requirements and diets. I am 26, and plan to get a dog in the next few years once I have settled living, so I would absolutely love to help someone out with any dog sitting needs they have! I can be flexible with bookings and shorter or longer periods of time. Happy to match any requirements as I’m a very active person, so I am happy to take them on long walks or runs, but equally happy to sit and give them all the attention! I work as a remote technical consultant with flexible hours. I am happy for shorter or longer boarding when needed. Weekend work is absolutely fine, a couple of days advanced notice would be massively appreciated, but I am happy to accomodate last minute requests. I am an early riser, so I can work to earlier schedules if needed. I am renting in Edmonton and have accomodation on Vancouver Island, so I can provide boarding and walking services on the island. I have a car and am able to drive and travel to owners homes.
