About: Growing up on a farm, I spent most of my waking hours around animals, and have fostered a deep love for all kinds of critters :) I have experience overnight dog sitting with duties such as walking, administering medication, grooming and feeding. I have had pets of my own such as dogs, cats, rabbits and fish (plus all of our farm animals!) I would treat your critters as if they were my own and would be happy to assist you in caring for your furry family members! Thank you for considering me. I am currently available for weekend services! Some weekdays can be accommodated depending on your needs and my schedule with work as I am away at times for camp work. I will ensure I follow any routines you may have for your pet, and be respectable of the surrounding community and any other family members or roommates that could be in the home. In my home I will also treat your fur baby as if they were my own, of course!

We recently had Amy house and dog sit for us while we were out of the Country for two weeks. She was great to deal with and did an excellent job. She sent us several photos and videos of our pets while we were away and kept us updated. The house was clean and in great shape on our return. Communication was excellent. We will not hesitate to use Amy again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter while we were away. Tiahana and Tash stayed at our home so Tess could remain comfortable in her own environment, which gave us huge peace of mind. She went above and beyond by bringing Tess to work with her for socialization time and took her on plenty of walks and hikes It was clear Tess was well cared for, happy, and loved — we would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her!

Abbey came to your house to look after our dog for just over a week. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Abbey is so kind and caring. She provided daily updates with recaps of the day, as well as pictures and videos. I think our dog (who is normally pretty shy and anxious) had the best week ever! Our house was maintained beautifully and was spotless on our return. Abbey even coped with a power surge and the alarm going off, a garage door malfunction and an ice storm without blinking! I would highly recommend Abbey for any pet sitting position.

About: My little family and I have been living in Kimberley for 4 years now and have cared for many animals. I am currently on mat leav and we have one male mini Australian Shepherd. The aussie is 13. I grew up with dogs, rabbits and cats (as well as fish and reptiles). I love all animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. I also have house sat, dog walked and looked after dogs for many families growing up. You will have no worries whether it is while you are on vacation or your fur baby needing some exercise while you're at work. I have experience with puppies as well as elderly dogs and being able to manage various diets, medicines and/ or drops. I am currently a rehabilitation assistant with Interior Health and enjoy helping and spending my time with animals and people. I am currently on mat leave so your pet will never be left unattended. Our family is full of animal lovers so your pet will get plenty of attention and TLC. We have a fenced in backyard and live by the Kimberley Nature Park. We are close to other parks and rivers. We go for plenty of nice long walks and spend lots of time outdoors.

Danielle was amazing with our dog Monty who just loved her right away. She was great with him - gave him lots of cuddles and attention and he had the best day with her! About: Hello :) I am an animal lover who currently has no pets, so I would be thrilled to help take care of yours! I grew up on a farm that always had animals around (German Shepherds, Spanish Water Dogs, cats and rabbits), and greatly miss my furry companions. I have a vehicle that can transport your fur babies to local trails or parks where we would have a grand time hiking, frolicking, or throwing a ball around. If you are looking for a caring, passionate, and responsible walker/sitter, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet! My schedule is very flexible, so I have lots of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and house sitting. Providing a comfortable, calm, and stimulating environment for your pet is my priority. You know your pet best, and I’m happy to work with you to give them the best experience possible.

Katelyn was quick to respond to our request, which was on fairly short notice. She showed up on time and engaged quickly and easily with "The Boys". Baxter and Higgins liked her and were on their best behaviour. Katelyn got them out for a walk without incident. Lori and I highly recommend Katelyn. If you need a take-charge self-starter for your pet/s, she's your gal.

Jenn was an absolute pleasure to have as our house and dog sitter. She was incredibly sweet and patient with our anxious rescue dog, taking the time to help her feel safe and comfortable. Jenn sent thoughtful updates that gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was respectful of our home, reliable, and excellent with communication throughout. We wouldn’t hesitate to have her sit for us again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - Kimberley

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Kimberley on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 15 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kimberley. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kimberley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kimberley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kimberley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
