Pet sitting in Canmore
I have had my own own cat & dog combo for the last 8 years and helped friends sitting their pet meanwhile. Happy passed away in October 2024, and living without the responsibilities of having a dog was unbearable. We adopted an orange fuzzy, adolescent pup, Nellie. She has since grown into a playful, yet respectful doggie pal to all our visitors: ready to play or offering space to whatever their needs are. I know how difficult it is in the Bow Valley to find affordable, private pet care and walking services and am offering my experience for those who would need my help for a short time. I can walk dogs of any size and adjust my care to your pet’s activity or anxiety level. Walks in accordance to your dogs needs and any cuddles are included in my sitting, of course!! I have been volunteering with the local SPCA and can adjust to dogs with special attention needs. Please also contact me if you have special medication needs, such as oral medication, assisted feeding or subcutaneous fluids. I can administer these, having learned from experience with my previous dog’s kidney disease.

Kathleen was everything a person could hope for in a caregiver for their precious fuzzy family members! She was so thoughtful, flexible and kind while we had to change our plans last-minute (which was SO nice as we had driven 8 hours to Canmore, and we were trying to quickly reorganize everything last-minute). She was also clearly so great with dogs, and exuded calm and confidence; Remi loved her immediately. She made sure that Remi had exercise and play time. We are so grateful, and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who needs care for their 4-legged family members!

Schedule
I provide full-time day care on my off days, so please inquire with me directly if I will be able to sit round-the-clock, or if just a few hours is enough.

Safety, trust & environment
We have many walking trails around, so we can adjust to what your pet likes. Dog walking is included with day care. If your pet is a senior and would rather want to observe the neighborhood, there are plenty of lazy spots around.
Pets
A typical day
My multi-hour care includes regular walks during the day. If we can we’ll head out to do some hikes in the area, or just bathe in the sun, depending on your puppy’s needs.
