About: Hi, my name is Jessilyn and I live in Burnaby! As an owner of a reactive/anxious dog myself, my approach towards pets is focused on force free positive reinforcement and enrichment! I wholeheartedly believe that animals do not need punishment and tools such as e-collars to learn or behave - they need love, patience, and persistence! I am gentle, kind and have been able to make connections with many nervous and shy animals. I also have experience with aquatic pets, cats, and birds! I love all animals and am also an occasional foster parent for animals at the SPCA. I am available after 4pm on weekdays, flexible on weekends, and available anytime during seasonal breaks (I.e. Christmas, spring break, etc). We can have a discussion on visits once I have a better idea of your pet's needs! I have experience with high energy dogs, senior dogs, cats, fish, budgies, reactivity, separation anxiety, enrichment games, and administering medication. About: I’ve cared for my own Shiba Inu for nearly 3 years and regularly help friends with dog daycare, boarding, and cat drop-in visits. I follow routines closely and live near a park and dog park, which makes daily walks and playtime easy. While I’m still learning to support anxious pets, I’m patient, observant, and committed to making every animal feel safe and respected in my care. I currently work part-time, mostly in the mornings, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pets in the afternoons and evenings. I’m typically available from Friday to Monday, and often during weekday evenings after 5–6 PM. While I appreciate at least 3 days' notice, I can occasionally accommodate last-minute bookings depending on my schedule. I love spending quality time with pets and will make sure your furry friend gets the attention they deserve. Pets in my care are welcome to relax wherever they feel most comfortable—whether that’s on the couch, a dog bed, or a crate you provide. I always leash dogs during walks and ensure their safety by keeping a calm, structured environment. If your pet is visiting my home for the first time, I’ll gradually introduce them to my dog to make sure everyone feels secure and respected. I also separate pets when needed and follow any specific instructions you provide to maintain your pet’s routine and comfort.

About: From as early as I can remember, I've always had a passion for working with animals. Growing up, my family had a variety of animals, which I was exposed to from a young age. Later, I decided to work at a Wildlife Rescue Center in South America, where I had the amazing opportunity to care for diverse animals like toucans, monkeys, wild cats, raptors, and more. Through this experience, I learned not only how to care for them but also gained a deep understanding of the value these incredible animals bring to our lives. I also took classes in dog training to further my skills. For this reason, I'd love the opportunity to care for your loyal friend. About: I’ve been surrounded by all kinds of pets my whole life—pretty much anything you can think of! Dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, fish, turtles, rabbits, and even guinea pigs! Back home in Ecuador, we have 7 dogs and a cat, and life is just better with them around. I absolutely love taking care of animals and making them happy. There’s nothing better than spending quality time with them—it always makes my day! I have three days off during the week, and I love spending that time outdoors in nature. Taking a dog for a walk would make it even better! Caring for pets is so rewarding for me. It is a fulfilling experience for me! I always make sure pets eat according to their owner’s instructions and keep their water bowl clean and filled with fresh water. I also like to have their favorite toy nearby so they feel comfortable with me. Respecting their space and making them feel safe is a must!

About: I know that every pet has a unique personality and needs, and I’m committed to creating a calm, safe, and loving environment—whether it’s a short visit or an extended stay. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are always my top priorities. I’m currently studying in BCIT on Monday and Thursday 5:30PM-8:30PM，so the other time I’m totally free. At weekends I’ll hike so I can take care at weekends. In my home, I almost play with my cat every day . Usually I use rope and Laser Pointers which she interested in to let her catch, then I will touch her and give her treats.

I work from home and am able to take fur babies for walks every 2-4 hours and on adventures to explore great outdoors or dog parks after my day job! Your pet’s safety and comfort come first—always. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space that’s free of hazards and full of cozy spots for rest and play.l stick closely to their routine and follow all instructions to the letter (plus a few belly rubs for good measure). About: All of our lives we have been dog lovers and owners so we have been through all kind of experiences from raising new born puppies to having to say goodbye to a friend. There is nothing we love more than creating a fun but always safe environment for our fluffy friends. We have a flexible schedule so you can always count on us. We are two college students with a very flexible schedule as we only have to go to school twice a week but only in the morning. We have a spacious living room and a small balcony with artificial grass so that will ensure that your dog will have more than enough space. However, we know the importance of external fun so we have access to a dog park and a friendly neighborhood.

About: Ever since I was a child I’ve grown up with animals by my side. I had cats my entire life, and recently welcomed a dog as well! For the past 4 years, I’ve worked extensively with animals. My first job was at a doggy daycare and boarding facility where I cared for dogs and cats alike. I learned so much about their behaviours and needs and gained so many important skills (administering medicine, grooming, feeding, exercise and stimulation, etc.). I even went on to become pet first aid certified to further my skills. Now, I work at a local family owned pet store where I learn even more about animals and get to create unforgettable bonds with all my furry customers. I wouldn’t change anything! I currently work Friday-Sunday 9am-6pm at a pet store, and I am a student during the week. My school hours are quite short and allow for flexibility when it comes to pet sitting and walking. If you have a calmer dog, I would be more than happy to take them along with me to work. Growing up and working with cats and dogs I learned the importance of proper stimulation, training and feeding. I understand the love we all share for our pets and wouldn’t treat them any differently than my own.

About: I have been caring for animals for over 10 years. I have had a variety of experience with other animals besides dogs like fish, bird and cats. This has allowed me to be creative when faced with a challenge with dogs. Using my previous experience I was able to navigate issues. I was able to train my indoor cat to be comfortable with a harness and leash. Then gradually train him to be comfortable outdoors. I have also recently received my pet first aid certification, just an extra step I take to ensure your furr babies are safe! I currently work part time as an art teacher for young students. Most of my classes are in the afternoon (afterschool hours) so I have a big chunk of from Monday to Friday around 8 to 2 I currently live in a calm and quiet neighborhood, in a house with two levels. I also live very close to two amazing parks with big fields for your dogs to run around. I also own a car if you need any transportation services, like picking up and dropping off your dog.

About: Growing up I was always around big and small animals. My family lived next to a farm so we had the responsibility of taking care of everything from the dogs, barn cats, sheep and horses when the owners went away. I was introduced into the dog walking profession at a very young age being entrusted to care for friends of the families pets, taking them on leashed and unleashed walks multiple times a day, making sure they were loved and fed. Once I was on my own, I started walking and sitting for a landlord's energetic boxer, and even after I moved out they still requested me for walking and sitting whenever they needed. Alongside that I have taken care of roommates dogs: walking, feeding, caring for, etc. I am skilled in being able to handle larger breeds that tend to pull on leash, have an active lifestyle, and find that animals warm up to me almost immediately. I am employed part time in the evenings and am a student part time, so my schedule is pretty flexible throughout the morning and daytime hours I am respectful of clients homes and have dog sitted within homes a lot. Unfortunately I have a cat therefore unable to have the dog in my own home

About: I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember and they have always held a special place in my heart. I have had both dogs and cats since I was a young and up until early last year we had a doggo that passed away that was with us 14 years, and although his passing was expected, left us devastated. We aren’t quite ready for another pet family member, but we’re hoping to help other pet owners care for their pets when extra help is needed. I currently work full time, M-F but I also work a hybrid schedule which allows me to work from home 2-3/week. My office is also dog friendly in case your pet needs to tag along with me to work. I live near two dog parks and a few other parks and trails that I’d be happy to take your dog to. I currently live in a 2-br ground level suite with a decent amount of space to lounge and walk around during downtime. Can accommodate a crate if required. I also have personal experience with specialized diets for elderly dogs. I can also care for your pet in your home or stop in for walks, feeds & visits.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for most of my life! I love dogs and animals of every kind. I have volunteered at the BCSPCA before and understand the care that animals need. I am not working and at home the majority of the time at the moment, therefore, I have much more availability to give your dog the care and attention they need! As a dog owner myself. I have an enclosed yard, lots of chew toys, and many different treats to keep your dogs happy and comfortable!

About: Hi, My name is Nicky Lin and I have a 4-year-old Shetland sheepdog. I have required the pet care experiences from taking care of my friend's dogs for years and now I have a very well-behaved pup. Buddy and I attended all his training school classes together. and now we would like to add more fun to life by meeting your pup. My apartment is located on the ground floor with a fenced yard, which creates easy access for Buddy in-n-out for potty breaks, play fetching sticks, and sometimes we sit in the front yard simply enjoy each's company. on the weekends we like to go to Buddy's favorite park and we go trails to enjoy the beautiful BC landscape and we are looking forward to having your pup join us!!!

Would love the opportunity to meet your sweet pets and have the chance to take care of them while you are busy. I am a yoga instructor so my schedule can be quick flexible!! I have a very flexible schedule, I am a yoga instructor so I can work around most times! I teach mostly in the morning and evening so I and free most during the day!! Pets are always a first priority for me. I will never leave the house without knowing they have been outside to potty, making sure they have fresh water and I find each pet always has that one toy or space in the environment that makes them feel safe. So I always try to revert back to that thing that makes them feel safe before I go out!!

About: Would take care of your buddy as if were my own. I work full time from home, so I have a lot of time to keep an eye on your baby for you. Your dog will get to exercise and rest very good, as my building is pet friendly and there is multiple parks around my house. We will play, go for walks and will take them out to do their own personal needs. My building is pet friendly so we have a designated backyard(as I like to call it) for the dogs to do their needs or I can always take them to the dogs park around my neighborhood! I hope to meet your best buddy soon :) I work full time from home, so i can do my work while watching over your pets from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm ! I have plenty of space in my apartment and a balcony to provide some outdoor time before going out to a park or for a walk.
