“Letting someone into your home take care of your oets is a nerve-racking experience. We are so grateful to have found Vy. She was very thorough on making sure she understood what our pets needs were before, even stopping by before the term started. She was a great communicator, letting us know every time she stopped by with photos and we felt like we were there real time in terms of updates. It really put our minds at ease. We’ll definitely be rebooking with her next time we head out of town!”
About: As a dog groomer for over 5 years, I’ve worked with dogs of all ages and sizes. I especially enjoy working with old timers. I love seeing their spunky and winning personalities. I give them the extra TLC they need and wait patiently on them. I work full time as a dog groomer, but cannot get enough of dogs. This will also allow me to get my steps in. I’m bottom heavy, so it’s tough for a dog to topple me over I can feed, water, and play with pups when at your home. I have experience changing diapers and cleaning up pee and/or poo accidents if they happen.
“Noemi is amazing with my dog. It usually takes my dog few days to warm up to someone, but not with Noemi! The first visit Noemi had her out of the crate and outside. She is so kind and loving towards her.”

About: Hi, I’m Tommy! I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I’ve become the go-to pet sitter for friends, friends of friends, and extended family. Whether it’s for a quick walk, a daily drop-in, or an overnight stay, I genuinely enjoy caring for pets and making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away. Whenever I travel, I even volunteer to help transport rescue dogs so they can find their forever homes—it's one of the most rewarding things I do. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I always take time to learn their routines and preferences to make them feel as comfortable as possible. You can count on me for reliable, loving, and attentive care. I treat every pet like family, and I’d be honored to help care for yours! Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays—even on weekends and holidays. Whether it’s early mornings, afternoons, or evenings, I can adapt to your pet’s needs. Being home-based means I’m fully present and able to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my focus is always on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions—so they feel comfortable and secure. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and routines, keeping things clean and organized while making sure your pet is happy and well-cared-for. In my home (if applicable), I provide a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of attention, play, and rest. I keep a close eye on pets at all times and prioritize their well-being, including administering any medications if needed. My goal is always to make your pet feel relaxed and loved while you're away.
“Naylea took great care of our girl, Sadie! She had rapport with her right away and seeing Sadie trust her put us at ease. She administered her insulin and sent us pics along the way to assure us of her care. We recommend her and hope to have her return.”

“It was a pleasure meeting Jasmine. She’s very nice and sweet. She asked good questions and was interested in getting to know my dog. The visit went well and I recommend Jasmine.”

About: I love dogs and dream about getting my own. I’ve pet-sat for families since I was 10 and grew up with my two Goldendoodles, who I absolutely adore and consider my babies, named Olive and Cedar! I’m comfortable with daily walks, playtime, feeding routines, medications, and making sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I naturally connect with animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and love being active with dogs—whether that’s going on walks, giving them attention, or just making sure they feel comfortable and happy. I currently work 1–2 days per week at the hospital as a pediatric oncology CNA, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. On my days off, I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m able to be consistent with routines like feeding, walks, and playtime, and I enjoy spending my free time being active and caring for animals. My schedule allows me to be reliable and fully present when I’m caring for pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication needs if applicable, and any specific care preferences the owner has. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, especially walks for dogs to help them stay happy and calm while their owners are away. I also focus on creating a safe, clean environment and making sure pets feel secure and not stressed in their owner’s absence.

I’ve trained my dog when he was a puppy (potty training, wait & sit, tricks, etc) and have taken care of birds, cats, guinea pigs and even lizards. Caring for pets is my passion. I have lots of experience and I have an immense amount of love for any animal I encounter! I’m on my summer break, so I will most likely be flexible with time. I can do mornings and evenings, just need to be informed a few days beforehand! I can be playful, chill, patient, anything a pet needs. Backyard? Play! Sleepy? Chill and cuddle! Studious? I’ll teach some tricks and manners! I can practice a wide range of practically anything.

“Livio dropped by our house at exactly the time agreed and checked on our cat and dog. He cleaned the water fountain, cleaned up left over food and put new food. He did a great job, highly recommended.”

About: I have been around dogs ever since I was born, having two of my own. I have pet sit for family and friends before. I potty-trained my own dog as a puppy at the age of eight, as well as tricks like sitting and staying. I’m also quite fond of cats and have had less experience with them, but am more than happy to provide cat care. Monday-Friday I have football practice from 3-7, so anytime before or after I am free. I am currently working on freeing up my Saturdays and Sundays, so hours will change. If I am in your home I will be sure to respect your privacy and will only access what you as an owner want me to be around. My only focus will be your pet and making sure they receive what you have requested.
“Jennifer is an amazing sitter. Responded fast to any messages I sent, was extremely professional, and took amazing care of my cat. If I or anyone I know needs a sitter she'll be the first person I think of”

About: I’ve grown up caring for all kinds of animals — dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and fish. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets while they’re away. I also have plenty of experience with cats, including feeding, playtime, and maintaining clean litter boxes to keep them happy and comfortable. I’ve trained multiple dogs with patience and consistency, and I always approach every animal with kindness and care — treating them like my own. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I’m available Monday–Thursday after 6pm, Fridays after 7pm, Saturdays after 3pm, and all day on Sundays. I also get days off from work during the week, so my schedule can be flexible depending on which day I have off. Caring for pets part-time is something I truly enjoy — it’s a great way for me to spend time doing what I love most: giving animals the care and attention they deserve. When I care for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep them comfortable and happy by maintaining their normal routine. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, always have fresh water, and get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I take care of litter boxes, clean up after pets, and keep their space tidy while you’re away. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs — whether that means extra snuggles, quiet companionship, or a little extra playtime. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages, so you can feel confident your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for.
About: I've been a proud dog mom for over 4 years to my rescue girl, who came to me with significant separation anxiety. Through patience, consistency, and a lot of love, I trained her to feel safe, confident, and calm — and that experience taught me more about dogs than any textbook ever could. As her primary caregiver, I handle everything myself: regular nail trims, baths, grooming, and monitoring her overall well-being. I've invested deeply in learning about canine and feline health, nutrition, and holistic wellness — while also greatly respecting the value of traditional western veterinary medicine. For example, I use traditional pharmaceutical flea prevention as a reliable foundation, while also incorporating holistic flea and tick repellent sprays to minimize exposure — the best of both worlds for your pet's safety and comfort. I have broad knowledge of dogs and cats in general — from behavioral cues and body language to dietary needs and preventive care. Above all, I love and care for animals as if they were my own children. Your pet will never just be a "client" to me. I work full-time from home as a Business Analyst, which means my schedule is genuinely flexible. I am also open to weekend bookings and will always do my best to work around your needs. When it comes to walks, I believe every dog deserves an outing that fits their personality — not just a quick loop around the block. My own dog loves to sniff and explore, so I always build in plenty of time for that. I also love taking dogs to bigger parks with a long leash for a good run and some fresh air. Whether your pup loves long-distance walks, sniff-focused strolls, occasional sprints, or calm park hangs — just let me know and I'll tailor every outing to what makes your dog happiest. And if your pup tends to eat things off the ground, just share that with me and I'll keep a close eye! Your trust means everything to me, and I take it seriously. I am naturally detail-oriented, a great communicator, and highly attentive to instructions — so if you have specific routines, preferences, or boundaries for your pet, I will follow them carefully and never assume. I am open-minded and culturally aware — having lived in California for 8 years as a Japanese woman, I genuinely appreciate diverse perspectives and adapt easily to different households, families, and pet personalities. I respect your space, your rules, and your way of doing things. I always welcome your feedback, questions, and preferences — no question is too small. You know your pet best, and I am here to be your trusted, reliable partner in caring for them. My home environment is calm and nurturing, shaped by years of caring for a rescue dog with anxiety — so I understand sensitive or nervous pets deeply. I prioritize patience over pressure, and comfort over convenience, every single time.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Buena Park
Kristina is so good with our feral, scaredy-cat, girl! Especially over the 4th of July weekend with all of the loud noises and fireworks going off! Kristina is very patient with Scamper, and always sends pictures and a blurb about how she’s doing. I appreciate Kristina’s time and efforts with Scamper. 🫶

We’ve had Armand watch our cats multiple times, and he is truly the best cat sitter we could ask for. Both of our cats absolutely adore him, which gives us so much peace of mind whenever we’re away. Armand is always communicative and sends plenty of pictures and video (exactly what every pet parent wants to see while on vacation!). He also pays special attention to our cat’s medical needs, which reassures us that he’s receiving the care and attention he requires. Thank you, Armand, for always taking such great care of our cats. It’s clear how much they love you, and hearing how excited they get when you arrive says it all!

Since this is our first time using a Rover for our two cats, I was a little worried about how things would go. Thankfully, Jennifer did a wonderful job taking care of them!! From the beginning, with the meet and greet, she was gentle with our boys and asked really great questions. While we were away, she followed our detailed instructions on how to feed them, clean their litter boxes, and spoil them with treats. She even brought in a package that was left outside our front door! After receiving the first Rover card and photos, I felt such ease knowing that she was the one dropping in to check on them. I would definitely recommend and rely on her service in the future! :)

Naylea took such a good care of my cat Sundance, who needs an inhaler twice a day. Naylea put in an effort to learn how to administer the dose and also kept me posted on Sundance s condition. She is detail oriented and noticed an incident when the automatic feeder might not have worked properly on the last day of her visit. I appreciate her photos and communication. It meant a lot to me. Sundance was happy to see her during each visit.

Jennifer was great with pet sitting our two cats while we were away for the week visiting family. She was very communicative and sent us lots of pictures. Even our cat who is usually very shy around new people quickly warmed up to her. Jennifer will definitely be the first person we reach out to the next time we need a pet sitter.

Livio and Chen took great care of our cat Micky this past week! They were super communicative and kept us updated throughout with lots of pix and videos of Micky. They also brought to our attention a potential concern to follow up on which we really appreciate!

Kimi took amazing care of my 18 year old cat with stage 3 CKD while I was away for a week. She visited twice a day and handled everything so patiently and compassionately, including feeding her, giving subcutaneous fluids, cleaning the litter box, giving pills, and helping with the extra challenges of a senior cat who is picky with food and struggles with constipation. She was incredibly kind, reliable, and attentive, and I could tell she truly cared about my cat’s comfort and wellbeing. Because of her, I felt so relieved knowing my cat was in such good hands, and I was actually able to relax and enjoy my trip. I’m very grateful for her help and would absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend Kimi, especially for pets who need extra patience and care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Buena Park. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
