About: Most people call me Josh. Dogs have always been my favorite animal and I've lived with them for most of my life. I am recently dog-free and I miss having dog energy in my house. I've raised two dogs through basic obedience to adulthood, one with a class, and one largely on my own. I am personally a big believer in the methods described in The Art of Raising a Puppy, because I have had excellent results with their techniques, but will of course prioritize whatever approach is preferred by owners. I am happy to help reinforce any basic obedience your dog may be working on, as well as senior dogs. I am comfortable with a wide range of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Highly reactive dogs are not my favorite, but "highly reactive" can be subjective, so I will consider such dogs on a case by case basis. I am happy to work with dogs of varying activity levels, but extremely high-activity dogs will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. I am currently working from home and am available for dropoff in-home daycare most weekdays and dog boarding (including weekends). My schedule for my dog was three walks a day (morning, afternoon/dinnertime, bedtime) so that is what I'm used to, but I am happy to work with clients to discuss their routine and work with them to agree on an experience that fits their and their dog's needs. I currently have no other animals in my home, so your dog will get my full attention as needed. I don't have a fenced yard, but I am in a residential neighborhood with a good-sized park a block away. I am reasonably close to Seward Park and the Genesee dog park as well.

About: Hello! I have been dog and cat sitting for at least 20 years and have several active clients in Seattle currently. I have previously worked for a dog walking and sitting business in Maryland. I have cared for puppies from 6 months through to senior, special needs pups. While no one enjoys it, I am comfortable giving pills, injections, and other medications to both cats and dogs. In my dog walking business I have walked up to four pups at the same time. I love to go on long walks, even in the rain and wind, and can throw a ball for hours! I will take care of your home and your pup with the utmost respect and love. I am a home owner with two kitties and a toddler. We are working on getting them all comfortable with dogs but for the time being we can only subject them to guests for 4 days in a row max (or they may never forgive us). While I haven't found the perfect pup for my life yet, I am very excited to be able to share my house with dogs of all ages for short stints while I'm searching. I work from home and can let pups out to go to the bathroom as needed. I love a lunch walk to get me ready for the afternoon. I have a fenced yard and a patch of grass for regular bathroom breaks. The staircase is gated so we’re always within eyeshot of any canine visitors.

We have two kids (5 and 2), so we need dogs who are very kid-friendly and can sleep through the night. If you’re unsure about either of those, our family might not be the right fit. I’m especially great with affectionate dogs and seniors who need a little extra care and patience. Your pet will get plenty of love, attention, and belly rubs while you’re away! (Additional note: I’m happy to board larger dogs, as long as they’re older and super mellow. As a short woman, I just want to make sure I can stay in control on walks, and with small kids at home, I’m mindful about dogs who won’t jump up or accidentally knock them over.) We also have great walking paths nearby for daily strolls. Whether it’s playtime, nap time, or cuddle time, your pup will get lots of attention and love throughout the day.

About: I grew up with golden retrievers, and fully trained my first puppies, all on my own, at age 8 and age 14! Since then, I've not only rescued and cared for street dogs but but dog-sat breeds big and small, from daytime visits to multiple week stays, and volunteer regularly at a rehab home for fearful and reactive dogs. I'm a teacher with experience in early childhood education, so my patience, compassion, and discipline skills are well-tested! I have a very flexible schedule and am extremely active, so will give your fur baby as many walks as he/she needs, and am happy to just snuggle if you have a senior or more relaxed pup. Currently, I don't have dogs or pets of my own as we just lost our soul dog, so your pup will get extra special attention and love from me. I know how ideal it is for dogs to stay in their home when their people are gone, so I am happy to house-sit in the client's home with the dog. I'm an extremely neat, tidy, respectful non-smoker. If you want someone to care for your home and pup who is doing it primarily for the snuggles and well-being of the dog, not the cash, I'm your gal! I am not working until we move to California at the end of August for my new job, so pet care is a fun and meaningful activity I’m hoping to do over the summer with all my free time. I can be home all day with your pup! I can care for pups in my home, and I have a fenced yard though parts of it may be a bit wide for the extra small pups to fit through so I will prioritize leashed outside time! I have experience with senior dogs, medically complex dogs, and puppies, so your buddy is safe with me either in my home or yours.

She and I have gone through AKC Good Canine Citizenship training. I can watch/board one dog at a time after we meet at my house so you can see where your dog will be staying and if our dogs get along. I live in a wonderful neighborhood for dog walking and I have a fully fenced backyard. I will treat your fur baby like my own with regular walks and time outside, snuggles on the couch and bed, and treats and toys as you approve. I work from home full time so I will be with your dog 24/7. We will do a morning walk, breakfast and backyard visit early, then rest inside. Happy to do lunch and play time throughout the day, along with another late afternoon before or after dinner walk. Your dog will have 24/7 access to my fully fenced back yard. And then can sleep on my couch and even in bed with me at night if they want. I also have dog beds, toys and bowls they can use, or you can bring your own. I am never without treats, but I will follow your feeding instructions to the letter. I will treat your dog like my own. They will have free reign of my house, which has hardwood floors but is covered with rugs to help with traction. Your dog will have 24/7 access to my fully fenced back yard. And then can sleep on my couch and even in bed with me at night if they want. I also have dog beds, toys and bowls they can use, or you can bring your own. I am never without treats, but I will follow your feeding instructions to the letter. I will meet your dog where they are at, building up trust and love over time so they feel safe with me. I have been a cat and then dog owner nearly my entire life, even volunteering at a pet shelter in the past, and I have a special rapport with animals. My own dog is 14 and I have hard her since she was 3 months old.
