Maria and Kalyan along with their fantastic pup were the best hosts for my 13 week old puppy's first time spending the day with another family and meeting a new dog for some much needed doggie socialization. They sent me many videos, messages, and pictures throughout the day for updates which also greatly assisted in putting my mind at ease, as it was very important for this initial introduction for my puppy to be a positive experience. Ziggy, my puppy, had so much fun and quickly made friends with their pup who provided lots of play, engagement, and excellent role modeling of great doggie behaviors for Ziggy. Highly recommend, they are the best!

Jerry was thoughtful, communicative and did a great job caring for my dog! My dog is an escape artist and I felt comfortable leaving her in his care because he has a secure backyard, a double gate system by the front door, and was diligent about keeping her safe.

About: I love pets and recognize each pet is an individual with unique needs, behaviors, temperaments and interests. I have always had pets including many dogs and cats throughout my life. I have also had guinea pigs, gerbils/hamster's, fish and even a rat! Throughout my life I have studied animal behavior too. I have taken many dog training classes and even pet first aid. My schedule is flexible and I am reliable, organized, and tidy. I also know a lot about greener living because I am an environmental educator. My schedule is flexible and I am available most days including weekends and evenings. I have a lot of time to care for your pets including walks, feeding, activities and lots of pets and lots of love. I have 25+ years of experience caring for dogs, cats and smaller pets too (rabbits, gerbils, and fish). I have lots of experience walking dogs in our local neighborhoods and parks. Your pets safety is my #1 concern and a close second is making sure they are happy and getting the love, attention and exercise they need while in my care.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from newborn puppies to senior dogs with special needs. I love playing fetch, cuddling on the couch for quiet time as well as running around together in the terraced backyard. If you’re looking for a mini summer camp for your pup, no matter their size or age, you’ve found the right place! I work from home as an artist with 2 small dogs that love meeting new friends! I’m home Monday- Friday and several weekends each month. I also have a separate living room for your cat where it will have the run of the place without other pets. I don’t have children, I have dogs. They sleep in the bedroom and I take them everywhere; camping, roadtrips, and I’ve even taken them abroad with me for vacation!

Elle and her husband are phenomenal. Elle has been extremely accommodating to my schedule and I have no worries that my dog Dara will be treated kindly, exercised, socialized, and pampered as soon as I drop her off. I highly recommend Elle to anyone who is apprehensive about using rover. Elle is very professional and will give you updates throughout the day and a quick, detailed run down on how the day went when you pick up. I will continue to book with Elle for sure!

About: I have cared for my own pug for over 13 years, so I understand the daily needs of dogs at different stages of life, including senior care. Our home environment is calm and comfortable, which works well for dogs that enjoy a relaxed setting. Both my husband and I work from home most days, so dogs staying with us receive plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, and walks throughout the day. We also have a private rooftop area that can be used for quick potty breaks if needed. Because we have a gentle senior pug at home, we typically do best with dogs that are friendly and not extremely high energy. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable place where dogs can relax and feel cared for while their owners are away. Both my husband and I work from home most days, so we are around throughout the day to give dogs attention, regular potty breaks, and walks. This also means dogs are rarely left alone for long periods of time. Our schedule is generally flexible, and we are able to accommodate regular potty breaks, feeding schedules, and walks throughout the day. Because we are home most of the time, we can keep a close eye on the dogs and make sure they are comfortable and well cared for. We provide a calm, safe home environment for dogs. We have a gentle senior pug who is very used to sharing space with other dogs, so we typically do best with dogs that are friendly and not extremely high energy. Our house has a private rooftop area that can be used for quick potty breaks if needed, and we also take dogs out for regular walks. Because we work from home, dogs staying with us receive plenty of supervision and attention throughout the day. We usually host only one guest dog at a time so we can focus on their comfort and make sure they feel relaxed and well cared for during their stay.

Dash seemed to have a great time on his first stay (2 daycare days) with Tamar. I appreciate that she opted to walk him extra rather than taking him to the dog park on his first day because, she explained, she didn't feel like he'd bonded with her yet and was concerned he wouldn't come when called at the park. Hooray for following her educated instincts and keeping my guy safe! The second day, she took him to the park and I got fabulous pictures of them frolicking. Dash was happy to see me when I picked him up, but he also was wagging his "nub" (tail) and giving Tamar kisses, which tells me he attached to her. Then he went home and slept slept slept -- perfect! I think staying with Tamar is also going to help Dash with his socialization. There's a lot more activity at her house -- dogs, kids, cat(s) (though she separates them as needed) -- than in our quiet, kid-free house. I feel good about his learning to deal with this more stimulating environment under the supervision of an experienced, thoughtful caregiver. We'll look to Tamar again when we need a sitter for our energetic, young-adult Heeler!

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for 20+ years — and it's the senior and high-needs ones that have shaped me most as a caretaker. I've worked professionally as a dog walker and sitter, volunteered on a farm tending to sheep, pigs, and cows, and have logged years of animal care across a wide variety of contexts. My focus and true passion is senior and high-needs dogs. I currently care for Momo, my 11-year-old mini poodle rescue, who requires daily medication, mobility support, and consistent patience with separation anxiety rooted in past trauma. I'm fully comfortable managing medication schedules, specialized diets, and the kind of attentive, adaptive care that older or more complex dogs require. I also guided my previous dog, an Old English Sheepdog, through her full senior journey — including dementia-informed reactivity, significant mobility challenges, and all the nuanced day-to-day care that came with loving a big dog through her final chapter. I share my home with two poodles: Momo, and Stormy — a big, friendly 7-year-old standard who loves meeting new dogs and is equally happy to give them space if that's what they need. Stormy splits his time between my home and family nearby, so his presence varies by stay. I now work from home in a different field, and pet care is my way of staying connected to the animals I love. Your dog gets calm, present, unhurried attention from someone who is genuinely home — and genuinely invested. Senior dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who need a little extra are especially welcome here! I work from home the majority of the week, so I'm present and available throughout most days. I'm typically in office one to two days a week — usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays — for roughly 8 hours. Outside of those days, I'm home and attentive during business hours and fully available on evenings and weekends. I have a fully fenced yard, a one-story layout with no stairs to navigate — especially important for senior or mobility-limited dogs — and gate separation available so visiting dogs can be in the mix while still having their own space. Crates are available if needed. I keep pet cameras throughout the home so I can monitor remotely on the rare occasion I'm out. All dogs have dedicated feeding stations and I'm happy to accommodate varying meal times and dietary needs. Animal CPR documentation is posted in the home, an emergency vet is less than a mile away, and I have reliable transportation should anything come up.
