“Kate was a great choice for our dog while visiting the area. She always responded back very promptly and immediately put me at ease when I dropped off Alta. Alta had a fun day playing with her dogs. She took her for a great walk and sent lots of pictures! I would definitely recommend her.”

“Matthew took great care of Lucy during the holidays! She came back home happy and with a new toy!! Thank you very much for caring so much about Lucy and taking great care of her, Matt. We really appreciate it!”

“Hannah was amazing with my senior dog, and she did not seem to mind my dog’s Velcro tendencies. :) Her property is beautiful with plenty of space for dogs to explore. Her dogs and cats are very friendly with other dogs, and I think they helped put my dog, who can be apprehensive in new places, at ease. My dog loved her stay with Hannah, and I know she will be excited to return for another vacation!”

Dogs are my passion and my references will confirm this. I can come to you or your dog can come to me. Overnight stays will be in my pet-safe home. I have a safe fenced in pen for playtime. I live in the country with many walking paths available for the dogs to exercise and I have a large back yard. I live with my Blackmouth Cur rescue dog and our newly acquired Jack Russell Terrier pup. They both love playing with 'fur-friends'. I will closely monitor your pet while in my care as I am retired and stay with the dogs 24/7. Rest assured!
“Natalie helped Remy while we were in a squeeze for a sitter and could not have been more helpful. Remy loved her stay! Natalie was responsive and accommodating. Five stars are not enough!”

“Jennifer is wonderful! She cared for my 3 dogs for a week while I was out of the country. I felt comfortable the entire time. She gave daily updates with fantastic photos of everyone having fun. I know my crew can be a lot to handle at times and she did a fantastic job! Thanks again, Jennifer!!”
“Craig did a great job of babysitting our dog Heiwa for two weeks. We received an update with pictures almost every day we were gone, including pictures of Heiwa romping on the beach with Craig and his dog Penny. I highly recommend him if you need a dog sitter. We will definitely use him again next time we need a sitter!”

“We picked up a very happy and well cared for dog at the end of her stay. Lacey and her family provided thoughtful and professional care to our Kwila. They went above and beyond when Kwila had one of her seizures, contacting the emergency vet and keeping us informed. We felt Kwila was very well cared for, and we are grateful.”

I am currently working from home Monday through Friday and have full flexibility to take great care of your furry family members like they were my own. Happy to meet your needs and expectations (in my home or yours)! Walked on leash Access to enrichment activities Crated if your preference, not required
About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.
“Dot was so amazing! She treated Tulip like family and was genuinely happy to spend the weekend with her! She was extremely attentive and caring. We would absolutely leave our pup with her again!”

About: I currently work as a kennel technician at an animal shelter. I am experienced in handling dogs of all temperaments, prioritizing the dog’s safety and my own safety. I’ve pet sat for many clients. I have taken care of older dogs and young dogs. I am comfortable taking care of dogs of all temperaments. My services include dog walking, playing fetch, and feeding and watering. I am currently a part time employee at an animal shelter. However, I am not be working everyday of the week, or all day. I will have plenty of time to care for your pups in the morning time and evening time. When I do drop in visits, I ensure that all of your pets needs are met, which includes playing fetch or going for a walk, so that they are able to get energy out before their owner gets home.
“Amazing dog sitter! Reliable, caring, and great with our dog. We received updates while we were away, and it was clear our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

About: 🐾 Need a place for your furry friends to hang for the day? Overnight care? Visiting the area and want a safe place to leave your dog for an afternoon of two? Going on vacation? Regular day care while you are at work? Playtime and exercise? Walking and check/ins? I can do that! 💕 I have two 40lb lab mix pups: Ruby, who is almost 3, and Pax is 1.5. They are both very sweet and love other dogs and people! 🐾 We go on at least one long walk in the woods on our property every day- sometimes adventuring to the river for a dip, or out on the local, less-popular hiking trails. We know all the secret spots ; ) 💕 I love having a dog pack around, and love watching them play and run together. I believe in providing plenty of outdoor time for playing, sniffing, exploring, listening to nature, or sitting in the sun- whatever your dog needs to be happy! I will meet them where they are at to ensure they are comfortable in a new environment. Leashes will be used until we are sure it’s fine to take them off. 🐾 We just got an invisible fence- so if your dog is familiar with that, we have 1.5 acre yard of invisible freedom to roam! Trained in basic doggie 101-we usually have basic manners and recall in practice for healthy treats and affection-especially for puppies- and can provide a crate, comfy couch or bed if your pup needs a space to retreat. 💕 My only requirement for care in my home is that your dog must get along with other dogs and cats. I will gate the stairs to keep some separation, so if your dog is “cat curious” but intimidating, they will all have their own space to relax. 🐾 I work from home mostly, and have a flexible schedule. Pet care is perfect for my lifestyle! 🌲 We are outside a ton- gardening, hiking, xc skiing, swimming- adventuring on our property and in the surrounding National Forest. 🐾 I would prefer dogs that are good off-leash and have good social skills- I will always keep your dog on leash if I feel they are not okay otherwise. I only take 3 at a time the most, in-addition to my own pup. We live on a very private property with an open yard with an invisible fence system- offering plenty of space to run and play. We have a comfy animal-friendly couch and a screened-in porch with a queen-size bed for your pups to nap outside without being “loose”. I have 2 pups who will be happy to keep your pup company! They will be able to go in and out freely in a natural home setting, (as long as they are okay off leash) and your dog will be cared for like our own. If I visit your home, I would typically have my dog with me to play with yours- unless you specify otherwise. Each visit would be an hour of play and affection, outdoor time, feeding, water, etc.
“Jaclyn was so amazing, I got picture updates when she watched my baby girl because I couldn’t take her with me when I went Glamping. She was very friendly and professional and very responsive. My dog Maze an awesome teacher me and will definitely be back.”

“We adopted 11 year old Jafar just 4 months ago. I didn’t know how he would act around another dog or a small child, and I was worried about leaving him with Jessica who has an older Chihuahua and a 3 year old boy. I worried for nothing! Jafar loved the Chihuahua and would cuddle up with her, and he got along fine with the child! Jessica took great care of him. She sent lots of pictures showing Jafar enjoying his vacation as much as we enjoyed ours. This nervous pet mama HIGHLY recommends Jessica!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bridgton
Martha did a great job of looking after my cat Osiris while I was away for the holidays. She sent daily pictures as requested for my peace of mind, reached out promptly when there were any issues, and was very understanding and accommodating when my planned pickup time got a bit wobbly due to travel issues. Will definitely be booking again the next time I need a sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
