Hi, I'm Kaitlin! I've been caring for pets for 20+ years. I currently have three dog-savvy indoor cats, two friendly (albeit loud) dogs, and I treat every pet I care for like my own. I have children in my home (ages range from 4 – 16) who have all grown up with both cats and dogs and are well versed in respecting their personal space. My husband and I both work from home during the week. I do hold office hours on Fridays, but my husband is home when I may not be so our home offers constant companionship for our guests. A few things that set my care apart: - Experience with crate training/trained dogs. I can offer support in your training journey if it is something you are working on with your dog. - While I do not currently have a fenced-in yard, I do live on a private dead-end road in a quiet neighborhood. We do not have heavy traffic and can walk for as long as necessary to tucker your pup out. I also have long leads (60ft) for outdoor play on our property. - Daily photo updates of your pet(s) if desired. - Experience with dogs of all ages. - If your pet prefers a calmer environment, my at-home work space provides a reprieve from the rest of the house while maintaining companionship. - Competitive rates and flexible scheduling. I can typically accommodate emergency requests, though Fridays can be tricky with my in-office hours. - Bonus: I also have experience with chickens and love all animals, barnyard or otherwise. I can accommodate check-in visits to refresh water and feed as long as instructions are provided. Excellent experience start to finish!! Kaitlin was responsive to our sheltie’s sometimes-timid approach to other dogs, and it was a total success. They had a grand time and leaves us wishing we had to be back this way again!
Kaitlin and her family were fantastic with the dogs! First, she accommodated a last minute booking when my original plan fell through and accepted with a weeks notice and I am forever grateful. It was clear the dogs were in good hands with multiple updates and pictures each day, I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing they were well taken care of. They even came home with handmade bandanas! I would definitely book with Kaitlyn again knowing my dogs also had a great vacation at her home. Thanks again!
Kaitlin has an innate sense of animals. Her calm and loving demeanor is how she can handle any animal she is in contact with. I have entrusted her with my older, sensitive dog, and sassy ginger cat so many times over the last 7 years I have known her, and it's comforting to know my pets are not only taken care of, but loved while we are away from them!
We have had Kaitlin look after our cat Max for several years when we have gone away on vacation’s. Max is so loved and well taken care during those times. When we had a flock of chickens years ago she also took care of them and they were very well taken care of as well. I love that we get pictures and videos of Max when we are away. Some people would just make a quick trip in and out and be on their way, but Kaitlin will take the time to give your pets attention and cuddles while their people are away. If you are looking for someone to give full attention and make sure your pets are well taken care of Kaitlin is definitely that person! We love her!

Schedule
My husband and I both currently work from home Monday through Friday, with the occasional in-office day, and can provide constant supervision and attention to our guests. Your pet will never be left unattended for more than an hour or two, and crating them is an option if necessary.

Safety, trust & environment
No dog is left unleased when outdoors; leashes and long lines are used for outdoor walks/play time. Guests are never left unattended and playtime is always supervised between our dogs and guests. Boarding guests are treated as family while staying with us and all areas of our home are open to them.
Pets
A typical day
Our dogs spend most of the day hanging out with us while we work. Working from home offers the flexibility for multiple potty breaks, quick walks (15-20 minutes), and play time outdoors if the weather permits. After work, we can provide longer outdoor time and longer walks. If approved in advance, we can also take field trips to local beaches and/or walking trails on the weekends when our schedules permit.

- Please let me know if your dog has any food allergies or restrictions. The treats we have on-hand do not contain chicken as one of our dogs is allergic, but if your pet has a favorite that is used for training/rewards, please feel free to bring those for them. We do not give "people food" as treats. If your dog has a favorite toy, bed, or blanket that would make their stay more comfortable, please bring that with them. **If your dog requires a crate for overnight stays, please bring that with you for drop-off.**
