About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and feel a genuine connection with them that goes beyond just following instructions. I'm calm, patient, and observant — qualities that animals respond to quickly, especially in pets that are anxious, shy, or used to a specific routine. What makes my care genuinely different is my background: I hold a biology degree and have medical school training, which means I'm not just comfortable with medications and special needs — I actually understand the underlying conditions. I know what to watch for, how to communicate clearly with your vet if something comes up, and how to stay calm under pressure. I have direct experience with: Administering oral, topical, and injected medications on schedule. Caring for senior pets and those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or kidney disease. Following detailed feeding protocols, restricted diets, and post-surgical care routines. Monitoring subtle behavioral and physical changes that can signal a health issue early. Handling anxious, reactive, or high-needs animals with calm, consistent energy. Beyond medical care, my hands-on animal experience spans a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, gerbils, horses and farm animals. I also spent time assisting on an organic farm in Japan where regular garden care was part of everyday life. I ran an Airbnb for several years as well, which taught me how to care for someone's home with the same respect I'd give my own — something that matters a lot in house sitting situations. I have verified 5-star reviews on TrustedHouseSitters from real pet owners, which reflects the level of care and communication I bring to every booking. On Rover I'm building my paid care profile and bringing that same standard with me. I work remotely as a Medical Qigong Therapist, which means my schedule is genuinely flexible and I'm home throughout the day — not popping in between a job and other commitments. Pet care fits naturally and completely into my daily routine. I can closely follow your pet's existing schedule for feeding, walks, medications, and rest without interruption. Your pets won't be left alone for long stretches, and I adapt to what they need rather than fitting them around a fixed schedule. I'm currently slow-traveling across the United States and available for house sitting and drop-in care in cities along my route. I typically stay in each location for days to weeks at a time, which makes me well suited to longer bookings. Message me to check if I'll be in your area — I'm happy to discuss timing and logistics. Safety and consistency are at the center of how I work. In a client's home I follow all instructions carefully — routines, feeding schedules, medications, restricted areas, and any behavioral notes you share. I treat your home as my own: tidy, secure, and respected throughout the stay. My medical background means I'm genuinely prepared for situations that would stress out most sitters. If a pet shows signs of distress, a change in behavior, or a medical concern, I know how to assess the situation calmly, respond appropriately, and contact you and your vet with clear, accurate information rather than panic. I provide regular photo and video updates throughout every stay so you're never left wondering. I'm responsive to messages and believe in over-communicating rather than under — especially for first-time clients who don't yet know my style. For pets that are anxious about new people, I take introductions slowly and follow the animal's lead rather than pushing for immediate interaction. Most animals settle quickly with calm, predictable energy.
About: I’ve taken care of pets in many settings, including messier households! (Not a neat freak so it does not bother me!) I trained my Doberman on Couch to 5k, running through all the trails in RI. I’ve taught my cat how to shuffle cards, play piano, and spin in a circle on command, and my mom’s old cat would always practice Pilates with us at 6 in the morning. Recently I dropped in for a friend’s 2 cats, even the shy one eventually warmed up to me! They required medication in their food so she left detailed, neatly handwritten notes on the table, which helped a lot! She allowed me to eat lunch there so of course I’d always ensure the kitchen was clean and the way I found it. My aunt’s sister’s cavapoo loved fetch, although I think she had ADHD like me, but I always got her to refocus! I also used to bathe my mother’s rag doll cat Dory every now and then and I would help trim minor mats in her fur. Even my photographer’s cat sat in my lap randomly during our meeting when she had to step away for a call! Growing up, I often took care of family and friends’ cats and dogs, playing fetch with them, and of course, playing music for them. I usually help my mom trim my cat’s nails. Growing up around my friend’s horses, I’ve always had a connection with animals. I always tell people, I sold my first CD because a German shepherd fell in love with it, and wouldn’t let his owners continue walking until he heard the end of the song. (I play acoustic guitar, piano, and sing). We taught my friend’s Dobermans how to sing, and made sure he didn’t eat anything he wasn’t supposed to as he was a troublemaker! We also always took my dogs to nice restaurants and kept them well-mannered and quiet. Outside of pet sitting, I enjoy walks in nature, going out to eat, teaching music lessons in the evenings, and watching comedies. My cat’s latest hobbies include watching the birds, and he apparently likes the music channels as he cries when I turn them off. On Sundays I often visit my boyfriend’s mom’s German Shepherd, Bruno. His hearing is sensitive (even reactive to splashing in the pool!) so we make sure to approach him very gently and warmly, and he loves fetch and “chase the ball!” I also am used to visiting people’s homes, both when I was a case manager as well as an independent music instructor. Outside of work, I very much enjoy meditation, reading about nutrition, writing music, yoga, and painting. My cat Fin Fin also loves to try to help me paint, often nearly dipping his whiskers in as he says hello! Nowadays we tend to simply cuddle on the couch. If you choose me for your pet’s care, I intend to give them an amazing experience per your expectations and frequent photo check-ins, just like our pet sitter did for us. I’m very adaptable and have flexible availability, just ask! One of my favorite activities is running, I can always walk or run with your pet, or if you prefer us to lounge, I have lots of great pet-friendly shows on our nice TV. I love driving so I’m happy to drive to you if it’s further away - as I am regularly back and forth between Westerly, RI and Uncasville, CT. Outside of teaching in a formal studio, I’ve worked in client’s homes for therapy-related meetings as well as for music lessons - and believe it or not often times there are pets who love to sing along to the music! I usually stay home in the morning so I can easily take care of your pet between 7 am and 2 pm. I used to have an office job but found it too sedentary and draining; I discovered I thrive in outdoor and home environments. I’m excited to enter this new chapter and care for animals! I have a partially fenced yard so I would generally take pets out on a leash but it is a non-busy road and very safe - the lawn is freshly mowed and we have a playground your dog can weave around! I also have a cute little neighborhood that we can circle around that is far from the highway and if your pet loved car rides, we can always go to the park and get ice cream! Occasionally our neighbor’s dog likes to come over unsolicited but he is always very gentle and friendly! My cats are also used to my mom’s boyfriend’s rambunctious dogs coming in and out from time to time and we have plenty of doors and rooms in the house and baby gates if we ever needed to keep pets separate! We also have a spare pet bed if needed that was gifted to us - we always want to make sure your pet is comfortable sleeping at night!

I love going on walks with my pets so if you want your pet to get a good walk in i’m your gal! About: I’ve spent 6 years working at a puppy store dealing with temperaments of 50+ different dog breeds. At this work place I groomed puppies, fed them, cleaned up after them, and gave them tons of affection! I have a good size fenced in yard with plenty of room for the zoomies! I have a golden retriever and cocker spaniel that love making new friends. I also do a little grooming; bathe, nails, ears & teeth! I make pet care my #1 priority, whereas this is my primary job. I can and will make your fur baby my #1 priority when it comes to taking care of them. I am offering walks and check-ins for my services. When taking you dog for a walk, I will use the dogs personal leash & collar or harness & leash with a slip lead as well. Double the safety.
About: I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family — with patience, consistency, and genuine love. I don’t just “watch” dogs; I connect with them. Whether it’s a playful pup full of energy or a senior dog needing a calm, gentle touch, I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I have experience caring for kittens, senior cats, and sphynx breeds (yes, I know how much love and maintenance they need 🐾). I keep things clean, calm, and consistent — following your exact feeding and litter routines, giving meds if needed, and keeping their favorite spots cozy and familiar. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and cozy space with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. I make sure feeding, potty breaks, and walks happen on schedule, and I always keep an eye on hydration, mood, and comfort.

About: I’ve always been around animals since I was very young we had ; chickens , Gerbils , Hamsters , Guinea pigs , dogs , cats , as well as taking care of my neighbors big fat orange cat when they needed to get away. I have a dog and a cat at home so I’m no stranger to that Fur parent life ! I have a dog myself so getting outside for a walk is a daily part of my routine ! I also work a lot of nights so I’m looking for things to do , reasons to be outside during the day and making money while doing it is just a really big plus ! Safety : being always attentive to surroundings as far as where the dogs are walking , what’s on the ground , what areas am I walking in , dogs around other dogs , Trust : I would try to update the dog owner as often as possible being a dog father myself I would be comforted getting those updates just too know my pet is safe and sound Environment : open feild trails , deep forest trials , shoreline trails , lakeside trails
About: I’ve grown up my whole life with dogs and cats in my family! I grew up with 2 small dogs (10lbs), both living until 15 years old. Our one girl Lilly needed medication for congestive heart failure twice a day everyday for years. We snuck it in with peanut butter…to her it was just a treat! I also have pet sit for my sister who has 2 large dogs (50lbs doodle & 100lbs golden retriever/German Shepard mix), and my aunt who has a German Shepard. I now live with my 2 cats, and 2 other cats of my family (4 total). I love my cats more than anything in the world, and make sure they are as spoiled as can be. I am comfortable taking cats outside on a harness and a leash! That’s how my cats go outside. I am comfortable taking care of dogs and cats, respecting their boundaries, and making sure that they are comfortable around me! I am a freelance makeup artist so most of my work is done on the weekends, leaving the weekdays almost completely open every week. I have plenty of time from morning until night! I have a lot of time for drop in visits, and walks, however because of my home situation with all of my cats, they would not be fond of other animals coming in, and I am too attached to leave my cats at night. I treat every pet that I meet like I am their favorite aunt that spoils them every time she comes over! I like to learn as much about them as possible so that I can respect them, their space, and their boundaries. I am very trusting when it comes to animals and rarely feel unsafe around them. It can be scary letting people into your home and caring for your pets and I understand that 100%, so I want everyone to be as comfortable as possible. I want each pet to have the best quality of life possible, and if I can assist with that I would love to.
About: Hello! My name is Meghan and I have a love and passion for all kinds of animals. I am currently a part time veterinary assistant and am available for walks and drop-in visits. I have never known a life without pets. Growing up, my family always had dogs, including two German Shepherd police K9s and even a dog who used a wheel chair. Having both working dogs and pet dogs in the house has given a firm understanding of the differences between them, as well as helped me to feel comfortable around multiple different breeds. I have also bred and whelped both German shepherd and Labrador retriever puppies. Currently, my husband and I have two Labrador retrievers, five cats and four goats. I would love to take my passion for animals and turn it into a business one day, which is why I decided to start on Rover. I am currently available for dog walking and drop in visits for socializing and potty breaks. Please contact me for any kind of pet care you may need! I am currently a part time veterinary assistant!
