“Very caring, prompt, reliable and friendly”

About: I have hands-on experience administering both oral and injectable medications, and as the owner of a senior cat, I’m especially aware of the subtle signs that may indicate a pet is feeling unwell or in need of veterinary care. I provide attentive and compassionate care, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, brushing, and engaging your pet with play and affection. If your pet is shy or uncomfortable around new people, I will respect their space and let them set the pace of interaction. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment that works well for both you and your pet. I’m also happy to help with additional household tasks, such as watering plants, cleaning up minor messes, or bringing in the mail. Please note: For bookings starting on or after August 1, 2025, my service area covers up to 12 miles from Norwichtown. A travel fee of $1 per mile will apply for locations beyond that radius. Thank you for your understanding! I am currently available anytime Monday through Friday and weekends to maintain the routine you have with your pets. Any changes to my schedule will be noted in my calendar. When I’ve pet-sat in the past, my routine typically begins with feeding the cat their wet food (if requested), checking and refreshing water and dry food bowls, and cleaning the litter box. When it comes to dogs, I will immediately bring them outside to go potty. Then proceed to feeding (if requested) and refreshing water. Once those essentials are taken care of, I’m happy to handle additional tasks such as watering plants, washing any dishes I’ve used, or taking out the trash. I always make time to interact with your pet - whether that means playing, petting, or simply keeping them company if they’re in the mood. You can also expect photo updates during each visit so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away.

“Terry is a great sitter, clearly loves what she does and treats your pet as her own. She’s kind and conscientious and was more than happy to help us out in a tight spot. I’d certainly recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter/walker. She’s great.”

“We were very happy with Sara. She made a separate trip to meet our dog before the walk date and we and our dog liked her right away. She came as arranged and sent pictures and text about his walk. I definitely would use her services again.”

“Ashley arrived on time and walked my dog with no issues - I will be booking her weekly! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and my dog loves her!”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals. I’ve had 1 bird, 1 ferret, 5 cats, and 6 dogs. I’ve trained 2 Dogs to obey basic commands and good potty habits. Im available for boarding on Fridays through Sundays. I work from home on Friday and I don’t work the weekends at all. I can also be flexible during week days as needed. I take my dogs for walks every 3 hours or at their request. We play fetch and tug-o-war in my backyard. My basement is a complete doggy daycare.

About: I have a special connection with dogs and have been around them my entire life. A greater part of my childhood was spent on my step-mothers farm. This is where my love of animals began as I took care of horses, goats, bunnies, cats, and dogs. I learned a lot about what a huge responsibility a pet can be but also how rewarding it is to care for one. I have no fear of getting messy, whether its hair, drool, or mud. I treat other peoples pets as I would my own. I currently have two cats named Elrond and Lewis. They are very spoiled. My animals bring a lot of joy and entertainment to my life. While my availability does vary I tend to be very flexible. I will go the extra mile to make sure your pets are taken care of. I would be glad to play with them and bath them if at all needed. My schedule is currently wide open! My husband is military so this is a great way for me to temporarily make money, while on the hunt for a full time job. I will make sure your pets are comfortable with me when I initially greet them! I know how my pets can be unsure of strangers and I want them to feel safe.

“Emily is great! Our dog is always so happy to see her, and it’s been so nice having a reliable dog walker for those unanticipated days. Our go to person when plans change and we need a last minute walker”

About: I have been handling and training dogs at daycares, puppy and adult day schools, and pet stores for over a decade, and I’m currently working on my certification through the Karen Pryor Academy for professional dog trainers. I prioritize safety and the use of positive reinforcement to keep dogs physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy, and I particularly enjoy helping fearful dogs become more calm and confident with clicker training. Right now I’m in the process of writing a business plan for my own company, so my availability is wide open for the time being. I am gentle, but firm and consistent. I use treats and other rewards paired with a marker to reinforce and shape the behaviors I want, and will use ‘time outs” to enforce necessary boundaries. Your dog will not pull me or get away with problem behaviors, but I also make sure not to be scary and to spend more time rewarding them when they do well. My home now has a large area with a 4ft chain link fence and a smaller potty area with a 6 ft stockade fence that exits from the basement for jumpers, puppies, and reactive dogs. I’m 20 yards away from a system of trails that I can use to hike dogs, as well as being in a neighborhood that can be used to work on distractions.

Montville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Always lovely to have her help take care of my dog! Super sweet and keeps me updated on how he’s doing. She goes above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable and well taken care of even though he is a super shy guy. Helped me when I needed to extend my trip another day as well. Will always come back to her for help when I am out of town. I am very thankful for Tina :)
