“Avery was great with my dog Cici! She took her on nice long walks, was super easy to communicate with, and most importantly Cici loved her. I really appreciated the updates and how smooth everything was. Would definitely book with her again :)”

About: I have taken care of many different kinds of dogs and cats my whole life. In my neighborhood I am the trusted pet sitter and pet walker! I work part time during my summer so I can focus on the pets I am hired to take care of. During the school year I do have some longer days so only certain days I can take care of dogs that require less than 4 hrs of alone time. I always follow the ground rules set by the owners. I do my best to make sure the pets do not get into anything that could cause them harm.
“Trish (Patricia) is wonderful. Her communication is great and her love for animals is apparent. I know my pepper is in good hands. I’m so glad I found her. I highly recommend Trish for your pet needs.”

About: I've lived with dogs nearly my whole life, and cats for half of it. I have taken care of said pets for years and been an in-family pet sitter on numerous occasions. My mother frequently cares for other pets through apps like this/through friends, and I assist her with that when needed. At the moment, I care for my mother's pets when she leaves town for any length of time (1 small/medium dog, 1 cat). Otherwise, I'm a free agent. Some of the services listed on the app have the potential to overlap (such as a visit and a walk), I don't consider the price to be totally compounding, just let me know and we can figure out what works best. I'd imagine this is on a situational basis. I'll pet/feed/walk them and am able to follow directions as well as any human, should your pet require specific, or unique, handling. I can usually read pet body language pretty well, but have no specific training in it. If there are any areas of confusion for me, I'll be sure to ask questions to make sure your pet is cared for properly.
“Priscilla is awesome. Our dog is very nervous with people and this is the fastest she has gotten comfortable with someone new. She takes great care of our dog and our dog always comes back happy after walks!”

I am attentive to each pet's individual needs and prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. I am reliable, patient, and committed to providing loving, responsible care while owners are away. I’m currently unemployed while my children are in daycare and after school programs. Outside of appointments I’m free spending time with my cats and my females kittens I currently have 2 black cats. My female whom I rescued recently was pregnant and had 6 babies(3 weeks old) I’ve also had dogs and cats in my past. I love animals. My home is clean and organized.
About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. I take time to learn their routine, personality, and what makes them comfortable. I’m very dependable and I know how important communication is, I’m happy to send photo updates during visits so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I’ve had animals in my life since I was five years old and have cared for a wide variety of pets over the years. I’ve always had my own dogs and cats. I’m very comfortable with different personalities and care routines. In my thirties I also worked with dog rescues, helping care for and support dogs in transition. While I stepped back from rescue work when my daughter was young, my love of animals has always remained a big part of my life. Because of this background, I’m very patient and attentive and understand that every pet has their own temperament and needs. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. Because I keep my schedule manageable, I’m able to be reliable and consistent with visits, walks, feeding times, and playtime. I enjoy spending time with animals and make sure each pet gets individual attention and care. I’m happy to work with owners to accommodate their pet’s normal routine and can often be flexible with scheduling when needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can feel secure and cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your pet’s routine and your home. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. Having had animals my entire life and experience working with rescues, I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for a beloved pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
