âThomas and Erica were wonderful friends to our pups! They were so understanding of each of our three dogs quirks and were a huge help walking them while we were out of town! Canât wait to use their help again soon!â

About: I have owned dogs my entire life. My friends and family have depended on me while they are away on vacation or working long days. I have begun offering my services to the general public. My love for animals has always been strong. I actually prefer animals over humans! I recently became CPR certified for both cats and dogs so you will have peace of mind when your pets are in my care. I am a self-employed professional with a very flexible schedule working mostly remote. This gives me the opportunity to care for your pets when needed. I offer overnight stays in the comfort of your home or a flexible walking schedule as needed. I realize every household has different needs and I will try to accommodate.
About: I have experience with pet sitting, walking, and drop in visits. I am looking forward to hearing the needs of your fur baby to have them enjoy their time to the max! I have free time to care for your pet as I work from home and my family is prepared and ready to help when needed! We have space for your pet to enjoy and share our home. We have places and a bed they can go to relax and we love to take them out to play and sniff around in the yard.
âTrish (Patricia) is wonderful. Her communication is great and her love for animals is apparent. I know my pepper is in good hands. Iâm so glad I found her. I highly recommend Trish for your pet needs.â

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I currently live with my parents, where we have two family dogs, an Australian Kelpie and a Border Collie/Lab mix. So I'm very comfortable with energetic dogs and understand the importance of exercise, routine, and positive attention. Since graduating high school five years ago, I've regularly dog sat for friends and family, caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether it's going for walks, stopping by for drop-in visits, or keeping your pup company while you're away, I'll make sure they receive the same love, care, and attention I'd want for my own dogs. I currently work four days a week, so I'm available for pet care on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. On the days I work, I don't start until 1:00 PM, which means I'm also available for morning walks and drop-in visits before work. I do my best to be flexible and communicate clearly, so you can count on dependable care that fits your pet's routine! At this time, I only offer care in my clients' homes, where I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to follow each owner's care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any other routines that help your pet feel safe and secure.

About: Iâm a teacher on summer break and love dogs. Iâve grew up with 2 German shepherds and a bull mastiff. I adopted my own mix breed a little over a year ago. I have babysat several family member and friends dogs. Iâve driven dogs to weddings for pictures and home. Iâm a very active person and love walking. Iâm a teacher on break and a dog mom myself. I am flexible during the summer and a very active person. I love taking dogs for walks or throwing the ball in the yard. I have grown up with dogs and adopted my own dog last year. I understand how important schedules are for pups. I am able to walk, feed, crate, and play for all size pups.

About: Hi! Iâm Dina, a lifelong animal lover based in Niantic, CT. I recently moved to the area with my husband, Collin, who works at Millstone, and our very spoiled fur baby, Leo the cat. Although Iâm new to Rover and still fairly new to the area, Iâm definitely not new to pet care. Iâm 33 years old and have been pet sitting since middle school, caring for both dogs and cats through long-term stays, drop-in visits, walks, feeding routines, litter changes, and playtime. Iâm patient with shy or nervous pets and always let them warm up at their own pace. One of my favorite moments was when I got a skittish dog to come over and say hi, and my niece asked if I could âspeak Dog.â I canât officially confirm, but I do have a pretty good track record with tail wags. đ My background is in photography and marketing, but I recently stepped back from that field to chase my dream of becoming an author. Iâm currently working on my first YA fantasy novel while earning extra income doing something I genuinely love: caring for animals. I also have plenty of references available upon request. As an added bonus, I offer mini pet photo sessions during visits for an additional fee. I shoot with a Nikon mirrorless camera, and pets have always been one of my favorite subjects. My cat Leo is basically a celebrity in my camera roll, and Iâd love to capture sweet, funny, frame-worthy moments of your pets too. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! My schedule is currently very flexible since Iâm working on writing my first YA fantasy novel full-time, which allows me to dedicate plenty of attention and care to pet sitting throughout the week. Iâm especially open for bookings this summer, including weekdays and many weekends, with the exception of some limited availability from mid to late August. Because I work from home on my writing, Iâm often available for: ⢠Midday walks and check-ins ⢠Flexible drop-in visits ⢠Morning or evening care ⢠Longer stays and extended care routines ⢠Extra photo/video updates throughout the day I know pets thrive on consistency, attention, and companionship, so having a flexible schedule allows me to be more present and responsive to their needs rather than rushing in and out between appointments. Feel free to message me with your dates or pet care needs. Iâm always happy to see if weâre a good fit! đž I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets while youâre away. I always try to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment where pets can stick to their normal routines as much as possible. Whether that means quiet companionship for anxious cats, extra playtime for energetic dogs, or simply giving nervous pets patience and space to warm up naturally, I tailor care to each animalâs personality and needs. During visits, I pay close attention to details like secure doors and gates, clean food and water areas, safe walking practices, and making sure pets feel relaxed and cared for in their home environment. I also love sending photo and video updates while youâre away because I know how much people miss their pets. Sometimes all it takes is one picture of your dog smiling on a walk or your cat dramatically stretched across the couch like royalty to make being away a little easier. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, and getting lots of love and attention while youâre gone.
About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. I take time to learn their routine, personality, and what makes them comfortable. Iâm very dependable and I know how important communication is, Iâm happy to send photo updates during visits so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Iâve had animals in my life since I was five years old and have cared for a wide variety of pets over the years. Iâve always had my own dogs and cats. Iâm very comfortable with different personalities and care routines. In my thirties I also worked with dog rescues, helping care for and support dogs in transition. While I stepped back from rescue work when my daughter was young, my love of animals has always remained a big part of my life. Because of this background, Iâm very patient and attentive and understand that every pet has their own temperament and needs. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and Iâm available for morning, midday, and evening visits depending on your petâs needs. Because I keep my schedule manageable, Iâm able to be reliable and consistent with visits, walks, feeding times, and playtime. I enjoy spending time with animals and make sure each pet gets individual attention and care. Iâm happy to work with owners to accommodate their petâs normal routine and can often be flexible with scheduling when needed. Your petâs safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each petâs routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can feel secure and cared for while youâre away. When caring for pets in a clientâs home, I respect both your petâs routine and your home. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure during walks and outdoor time, and I closely supervise pets to keep them safe. Iâm attentive to behavior, appetite, and energy levels and will contact you right away if anything seems unusual. Iâm happy to follow any detailed instructions you provideâfeeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, or special care. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. Having had animals my entire life and experience working with rescues, I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for a beloved pet.
About: Iâve had animals my entire life and have always been an avid animal lover with experience caring for both cats and dogs. I currently have two miniature pinschers of my own that Iâve spent a great deal of time training, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care for every pet. Because I work remotely when Iâm not traveling for work, Iâm able to provide attentive care, companionship, walks, playtime, feedings, potty breaks, and plenty of love throughout the day. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or needs extra attention, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. Your pets will be treated like my own with love, attention, and reliable care you can trust. When Iâm not traveling for work, I work remotely from home, which gives me flexibility throughout the day for pet care visits, walks, feedings, and companionship. Every day can look a little different, but I keep my calendar updated to ensure accurate availability and reliable scheduling. We have a dedicated area in our basement with turf, toys, and space for pets to safely play and stay active. I will always be present to supervise and monitor them, whether theyâre playing indoors, spending time outside, or going for walks around our neighborhood, which has plenty of sidewalks and nearby trails for safe, enjoyable exercise.

About: I've worked in the pet industry for 10 years as a boarding and washing attendant at a Veterinary clinic and as a Supervisor at a pet store in California called Kahoots Pet Store. I've befriended puppies to senior doggies to kitties and more and I've received lots of handling experience from these jobs. I've watched many friend's and family's animals over years. I love animals and have 3 cats of my own along with 3 leopard geckos and a Mexican black king snake! Im currently working part time so I'll have lots of time to hang out with your pups or kitties. I have pretty open availability as far walking or house sitting is concerned. I can take your pups out into the backyard and play with them as long as it's fenced or we can go out for leashed walks. If the kitties are comfortable with me around them I'd love to play with them but I won't push their comfort zone if that's not something they want. We'll coexist in the same space peacefully.
About: I have years of experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for friends and clients, often staying at their homes to make sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. My friends and clients trust me to care for their pets as if they were my own, and I'm committed to providing the best care possible! My schedule allows me to visit or walk your pet after work, Mondays to Thursdays (7 am or 6 pm), and anytime from Friday to Sunday. I am also available on weekends, Friday to Sunday, for house pet sitting, so your pet will have plenty of attention and care even if you're away for an extended period! With years of experience in dog-sitting and cat-sitting, I understand the importance of creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I follow a consistent routine, ensuring pets feel secure and comfortable, and I take precautions to maintain a safe space within your home. I'm committed to reliable communication, sharing updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. By allowing each pet to approach me at their own pace, I foster trust and a positive bond, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence. Your pet's safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities.
âThanks for spending the time with Jenny walking her and letting her interact with the kids. That socialization is so important and also wears her out. She does love a car ride!â

About: Iâve had multiple dogs my whole life ranging from chihuahuas, to Alaskan malamutes, pitmix, to dogs you just arenât sure what they are but that just makes them all the more lovable. I love being active so taking dogs for a walk gives me even more of an excuse to be outside to run around. I also love meeting new dogs and ensuring they get the enrichment they need throughout the day while their human is out doing what they need to do. I love to teach dogs new tricks or to see them learn how to walk on a leash better. My goal is to always make sure the dog is well taken care of and ready for the day ahead after a much needed walk. I am currently working part time so I love filling in what time I can with helping dogs. With work schedules for most people getting more hectic, I help where I can. Iâve walked elderly dogs who have back problems, and puppies who are petrified of the harness attached to them. I show dogs patience in their life circumstances so they can get the most enjoyment.
âCayton was terrific. My dog is normally very anxious and she was wonderful with Lucy. They went on a nice long walk and Cayton sent me pics and lovely feedback. This was their first walk together but there will be many to come!â

âSara has been incredible with our dogs. There are three of them, all big, two with substantial anxiety, and none of them is really leash trained. In other words, they're a handful. We have been floored by Sara's insight, skill, patience, and warmth. She has charmed our dogs and left us feeling confident that they are in capable, kind hands. Sara is the first non-family member we have trusted to care for our dogs, and we are so grateful to be working with her.â

About: Iâve been taking care of dogs since I was 11 years old. I have walked, taken pups outside, fed them meals, kept them company and Iâm able to do all of that for you and your puppies too! I currently work full time however my schedule allows me to still care for your puppies! The most amount of time Iâll be away at a time is 5-6 hours. Iâm happy to chat about my schedule for the week you need me. I have 3 dogs who need much attention, I make sure by the end of the night they are out of energy by playing with them and running around outside. They love getting treats after dinner too and Iâm sure your puppies will be just like mine, out of energy and happy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
