“Our son was getting married in upstate NY so we needed a sitter for our dog Kai while we were away. We have always left Kai with either family or friends, but since everyone we knew was attending the wedding I reached out to Laura. We set up a meet and greet -I knew from the first time I met her that she was a perfect match. She was warm and kind - obviously a dog lover - and she made a connection with our normally shy dog right away. She asked a lot of questions about Kai's habits - she wanted to make sure she followed his normal daily routine so that he would be comfortable in her home.. Her house is beautiful and she has a large, fenced in back yard that allowed Kai to run free in a safe environment. Laura took him for a 3 mile daily walk, and sent many pictures and updates the whole 6 days she had him. He became a part of her family❤️ I cannot say enough about how happy we were to have found her. She gave us peace of mind that Kai was well loved and cared for so we were able to enjoy the wedding without any worries. I would HIGHLY recommend Laura to anyone looking for a sitter!!”

My last two senior cats passed away about six years ago, and since then I’ve primarily focused on dogs. About: Around age 24, I adopted a cat who was extremely shy and nervous. t took me 3 months of work to be able to touch her but it was so worth it! I always made sure she had all of the love and care she needed. She was very particular about having a clean litter box (we agreed there!) and with her food and treats. I bought her a water fountain when I noticed she was making more of a mess with her water bowl than she seemed to be drinking. I still miss her, but memories of her and her memorial tattoo on my inner wrist help me through each day.

About: Having cared for 13 dogs and 4 cats (yes, we keep count), we've seen it all. Daily exercise and even bathing is quite familiar to us. Leo has hands-on experience with animal shelters, and I have biological based experience with both nutritional needs and animal anatomy, and we both can provide basic training. We currently have a year-old golden retriever and a tabby! We've dealt with a couple lovable (but difficult) pets and can deal with issues like stubbornness, biting, and basic potty training. I was a bit nervous to be her first Rover client, but felt immediate comfort on the meet and greet. She and her delightful, well-behaved pup, Tito, were exemplary hosts. She took all my concerns in stride and made sure that my puppy had a safe, enriching and engaging experience. She sent lots of photos documenting his play and nap time with his new buddy. About: Hi! I’m Dina, a lifelong animal lover based in Niantic, CT. I recently moved to the area with my husband, Collin, who works at Millstone, and our very spoiled fur baby, Leo the cat. Although I’m new to Rover and still fairly new to the area, I’m definitely not new to pet care. I’m 33 years old and have been pet sitting since middle school, caring for both dogs and cats through long-term stays, drop-in visits, walks, feeding routines, litter changes, and playtime. I’m patient with shy or nervous pets and always let them warm up at their own pace. I currently work full time however my schedule allows me to still care for your puppies! The most amount of time I’ll be away at a time is 5-6 hours. About: I’ve had multiple dogs my whole life ranging from chihuahuas, to Alaskan malamutes, pitmix, to dogs you just aren’t sure what they are but that just makes them all the more lovable. I love being active so taking dogs for a walk gives me even more of an excuse to be outside to run around.
