About: Hi! I’m Dina, a lifelong animal lover based in Niantic, CT. I recently moved to the area with my husband, Collin, who works at Millstone, and our very spoiled fur baby, Leo the cat. Although I’m new to Rover and still fairly new to the area, I’m definitely not new to pet care. I’m 33 years old and have been pet sitting since middle school, caring for both dogs and cats through long-term stays, drop-in visits, walks, feeding routines, litter changes, and playtime. I’m patient with shy or nervous pets and always let them warm up at their own pace. One of my favorite moments was when I got a skittish dog to come over and say hi, and my niece asked if I could “speak Dog.” I can’t officially confirm, but I do have a pretty good track record with tail wags. 🐕 My background is in photography and marketing, but I recently stepped back from that field to chase my dream of becoming an author. I’m currently working on my first YA fantasy novel while earning extra income doing something I genuinely love: caring for animals. I also have plenty of references available upon request. As an added bonus, I offer mini pet photo sessions during visits for an additional fee. I shoot with a Nikon mirrorless camera, and pets have always been one of my favorite subjects. My cat Leo is basically a celebrity in my camera roll, and I’d love to capture sweet, funny, frame-worthy moments of your pets too. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! My schedule is currently very flexible since I’m working on writing my first YA fantasy novel full-time, which allows me to dedicate plenty of attention and care to pet sitting throughout the week. I’m especially open for bookings this summer, including weekdays and many weekends, with the exception of some limited availability from mid to late August. Because I work from home on my writing, I’m often available for: • Midday walks and check-ins • Flexible drop-in visits • Morning or evening care • Longer stays and extended care routines • Extra photo/video updates throughout the day I know pets thrive on consistency, attention, and companionship, so having a flexible schedule allows me to be more present and responsive to their needs rather than rushing in and out between appointments. I always try to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment where pets can stick to their normal routines as much as possible. Whether that means quiet companionship for anxious cats, extra playtime for energetic dogs, or simply giving nervous pets patience and space to warm up naturally, I tailor care to each animal’s personality and needs. During visits, I pay close attention to details like secure doors and gates, clean food and water areas, safe walking practices, and making sure pets feel relaxed and cared for in their home environment. I also love sending photo and video updates while you’re away because I know how much people miss their pets. Sometimes all it takes is one picture of your dog smiling on a walk or your cat dramatically stretched across the couch like royalty to make being away a little easier. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, and getting lots of love and attention while you’re gone.

About: When I was young, 4 or 5 years old, I'd go with my grandparents when they took care of the neighborhood animals - cats, dogs, and sheep. I really enjoyed their Siamese cats that they adopted from neighbors down the road. When I was 10, my family got Maxx - a Golden Retriever/Samoyed mix. He became diabetic and needed insulin shots later on, and I helped administer those. After I became an adult, I adopted 2 cats with a partner. When we split, I took the cat that had bonded with me and cared for her until she passed at age 18. She developed thyroid disease and it took me a while to figure out how to get her meds in her, but I did and she had a much higher quality of life. I also switched to feeding her Gerber baby food (she preferred that brand over Beechnut, I'm not kidding) when she started to get even fussier about her food. Before that I helped care fore my grandparents' Siamese - I would microwave small chunks of hamburger for him and give him subcutaneous water treatments at home, and he ACTUALLY sat quietly and patiently during the treatments, the vet couldn't believe it! Pet care would fit best into my schedule early mornings, evenings/nights and weekends. I might also be able to squeeze in afternoon visits on weekdays. I prefer to care for pets in their homes, for the pets' comfort. Priority is getting emergency contact numbers, and permission in case emergency care is needed. I'd follow their normal daily routine as closely as possible, and make sure to give them plenty of attention, exercise, play, and socialization.

About: I’ve had multiple dogs my whole life ranging from chihuahuas, to Alaskan malamutes, pitmix, to dogs you just aren’t sure what they are but that just makes them all the more lovable. I love being active so taking dogs for a walk gives me even more of an excuse to be outside to run around. I also love meeting new dogs and ensuring they get the enrichment they need throughout the day while their human is out doing what they need to do. I love to teach dogs new tricks or to see them learn how to walk on a leash better. My goal is to always make sure the dog is well taken care of and ready for the day ahead after a much needed walk. I am currently working part time so I love filling in what time I can with helping dogs. With work schedules for most people getting more hectic, I help where I can. I’ve walked elderly dogs who have back problems, and puppies who are petrified of the harness attached to them. I show dogs patience in their life circumstances so they can get the most enjoyment.

About: I love dogs! I have a degree in Animal Science and have experience working as a Vet Tech. I have yet to meet a dog I don't like! I have owned dogs my entire life, currently own 2 labs. I love to walk and play with play with them. I will certainly treat your dog like he/She is one of my own. I am a stay at home mom and my schedule is pretty flexible. If any medication needs to be administered, I have no problem doing it. I don't mind walking in the rain, snow, cold or heat. About: I am a registered nurse and have 5 years of experience as a veterinary assistant. Your dogs will be in very good hands with me! I have a dog of my own who loves playing with friends! I absolutely love animals and am very flexible. Tell me your needs and I will do my best to accommodate them. Whether I am walking your dog in your neighborhood or they are at my house for the day or a doggy vacation, they will feel at home! My House is “puppy proofed” and full of toys so they are sure to have a blast all while being safe. And at the end of the day, they are free to curl up on the couch for some belly rubs :) I work per diem as a nurse so I have a lot of availability during the week. I will do my best to accommodate your furry friends! I have a safe, fenced in back yard if you choose to bring your dog to me. They will be like one of my own, which would be allowed on the couch and bed for plenty of snuggles. In your own homes, I will do whatever is necessary to keep your pup as safe and happy as can be!
