About: Trusted, dependable pet and home care across SWFL. I provide personalized attention, reliable communication & loving care for dogs of all breeds, personalities and energy levels while treating every pet and home with respect. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide constant attention, reliable communication, and quality care throughout the day. I enjoy exploring local parks, trails and outdoor spaces and I love incorporating safe walks, enrichment and new adventures into my routine with pets.. Every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I begin by learning what makes each pet feel safe and happy. I prioritize trust, communication and consistency by meeting with families beforehand discussing routines and special instructions and creating a comfortable environment where pets feel secure while their owners are away
“Kaylyn is an awesome pet sitter. She's responsible, reliable and a great communicator. She watched our 2 Siberian cats for a few days and sent pictures and texts to keep us in the loop. She even brushed their tangled fur! We will definitely rebook her.”

“Amber was amazing with my 11 year old Shi Tzu mix fur baby! She is prompt, kind and very good with animals - my little discerning guy immediately loved her!!! Lots of picture during the day and in constant communication - will definitely use Amber again!!!!!! 🐾❤️”

“Sean and my boys hit it off right away. It’s so fortunate I am able to travel and feel comfortable with who has my boys and living in my home. Not once did I worry. Every day I got a picture of my boys in different locations of our home and I had NO worries. Thank you Rover.com and thank you Sean.”

About: I am a reliable, experienced pet sitter with 6+ years of caring for puppies, seniors, and high-energy dogs. Comfortable with medications, exercise, bathing, and personalized, loving care. Pet care is part of my everyday life. I have my own dog and cat, so I’m used to daily walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I primarily provide care in my client’s home, where I follow their pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. I stick to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of attention. I don’t typically offer boarding, but I may consider it for recurring clients on a case-by-case basis.
“Virginia is sweet, reliable, communicative and wonderful with our quirky special-needs dog. She stayed at our home and it was great knowing someone was there with her who we could trust!”

“Jennifer is always prompt in responding and was prompt on arriving. The dogs were happy while she was here and the house was in great shape when we got home. Everything and everyone appeared to be well cared for!”

About: We have been pet owners our whole lives. We have one small, mild mannered, quiet dog-Oliver-a Japanese chin. He gets along with all dogs. We have a cat, mojo, who stays high on counters, under beds, or out on lanai. We take frequent walks in cul de sac, or let dogs hang out on screened lanai. My husband and I both participate in doing walks and care. We are usually only gone for about 2-3 hours at a time. Garth works from home part time. We are home quite a bit. If we leave the pets, we aren’t gone for more than 4 hours. We go on frequent walks and let them go out on the lanai/pool deck. We don’t give table scraps—only what you provide. We feed all dogs in separate rooms. We have extra bedrooms if we need to separate them for any reason.
“Danielle was a true lifesaver for us as she was able to watch our dog Zella at the last minute when another sitter (booked thru Rover) did not show up after we had already left town. More amazing was that she was able to watch her for the entire 3 weeks especially thru the holidays and we are forever grateful to her for the care she gave Zella. She sent us daily updates and photos throughout and gave us tremendous peace of mind the entire time. We highly recommend Danielle to others and will definitely use her in the future without hesitation. She is truly awesome!!”

About: I currently own a dog, a bird, a fish, and hamster. Ive grown around dogs and animals all my life. I understand body behavior and trust = patience. No dog is aggressive, its just scared. I got a 10 week old puppy last year, it now knows how to wait for its food until commanded, give paw, sit, laydown, and roll over. I love animals and have had experience my entire life! I work at a pizza hut with a pretty flexible schedule, I can always work around your schedule and im very flexible when it comes to having availability. I care for pets as if they were my own by following all instructions closely and prioritizing their safety and comfort. I make sure dogs get proper exercise, fresh water, and positive attention. I respect clients’ homes, keep doors and gates secure, and provide updates for peace of mind.

Virginia is fantastic with my senior fur baby, Kobe who suffers from separation anxiety. He loves her and is so chill when we get home you can tell he was super comfortable with her. She is a born Animal Lover and Kobe can tell because as soon as she arrives he brings her a toy and flops on his side which is an invitation to rub his belly! ♥️🐾

Michaela was AWESOME!! I really feel like I lucked out finding her- she was super communicative and caring toward my girls 🐾 I got to enjoy my trip knowing they were well cared for and I loved getting pictures of them being happy and loved every day. Would absolutely recommend her!

I can’t say enough great things about Brooke! She took such amazing care of our dog while we were away. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease—Brooke is warm, professional, and clearly has a true love for animals. She followed all our instructions to the letter, including our pup’s feeding, walking, and calming routines. Brooke went above and beyond to make sure our dog was happy and comfortable—even during storms, which usually make him anxious. We also appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind. When we came home, our dog was calm, happy, and clearly well-loved. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Brooke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Zoe was a great petsitter! We have a lot of pets (1 dog, 5 cats, and 2 betta fish), and she managed all of their care with no problem. She stayed overnight for 1 week. The week before we left, she visited twice to get to know the animals and learn their routines and health needs. One of our pets is diabetic and dislikes getting his insulin shots, so Zoe figured out a creative way to administer them to him without upsetting him. Another one of our pets takes a large number of oral medications, and Zoe learned how to give him all of his pills in under a minute with no complaints from him! Zoe communicated with us daily while we were away, and she sent us pictures and videos so we could see the animals were happy. When we came home, the animals appeared well-taken care of, and Zoe left our house neat and clean. We will definitely be using her services again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bonita Springs on Rover is $55.25 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,013 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bonita Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bonita Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bonita Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bonita Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bonita Springs. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
