“Aaniya was an incredible dog sitter! She took wonderful care of our three dogs and kept us updated daily with messages and photos, which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. She is such a kind and thoughtful person—even going out of her way to buy more treats when we ran out. If you’re looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and attentive to care for your pets, I highly recommend Aaniya!”

“Angelica was so great with the pups! She was extremely communicative and followed the dogs queues and preferences to a T. We got plenty of photos and updates on meals, walks and bedtime. Can’t wait to have her back!”

“Patricia is a wonderful sitter. She took great care with my 4 year old Sheltie. They took walks and she sent me photos throughout the day. She enabled me to relax knowing my pup was in good hands. I highly recommend her and will use her again!”

“We were hesitant at first for ANYONE to watch our girls since this was our first time using Rover. When we did a meet and greet, we wanted the girls to trust the person they would be seeing for a few days. We had our doggy cam and we saw how happy they would be with Elena at times playing and getting hugs. The pictures proved they enjoyed her presence and were being taken care of. We were happy with the effort and care she gave for our girls as a doggy lover and would book Elena again for future trips again.”

“Cassandra was specular, she communicated at every step. We left safe with her care and compassion towards our high needs fur babies. She cleaned up and the house was just like we left it. She texted about her departure and followed thru with attention to detail when leaving.”

About: I adore all pets, but especially dogs and puppies! I’ve helped care for my own dog who I consider mine for 16 years now. I have babysat for many families who also had dogs. I am always one call away for our neighbors too if they need their dog let out or fed! I have a part time job as well as I am finishing my last semester of college. I am very flexible and have lots of free time. I am only in class for an hour twice a week. I have lots of time that I enjoy spending going on walks and keeping your pets company! I love taking my own dog for a walk or playing catch with him in the yard. I always check to make sure he has PLENTY of water, especially during these hot summer days! I make sure he is fed as well. No accidents left unclean in my home either!
“Kass took great care of my old pup! She was quick to respond, communicative, and kept me posted with photos and updates. I definitely recommend Kass and will hire her again! :)”

About: I am a college student who loves animals of all kinds. I have been taking care of pets since I was a little girl and I am not afraid of a challenge! I understand the importance of your animals that make your house a home. I am a student with one class a day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My classes don’t last more than two hours so I am super flexible and able to see your pet as often as needed! I care for every pet like they are my own. I feed, walk, check in on, water and more depending on your pet’s needs. I have an open line of communication and will make your pet my top priority.
“My pups are always so happy to see Nina. She gives them a lot of love and attention. I get pictures or videos all day long so I can see them and feel comfortable that they are in good hands.”

“Jordan was amazing! She kept me posted with pictures and text to ensure I knew they were happy and enjoying themselves. We had a recent diagnosis for Miss Coco, and Jordan was so empathetic and put me at ease while I was out of town. Thanks again Jordan!!”

About: As a beginner, I bring a lot of enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love for animals. While I’m just starting out professionally, I’ve spent plenty of time caring for pets of friends and family, including feeding, walking, playing, and giving lots of attention. Putting the pet’s comfort and safety first is always top priority. I may be new, but I’m dedicated, responsible, and excited to provide the best care possible for your furry family members. Taking care of pets fits really well into my routine! I also volunteer at the hospital every Tuesday from 4:00–8:00 p.m. My college classes don't start until late August, and even then I'll only have class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention, care, and love they deserve! I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your pet will feel right at home. My living space is calm, tidy, and well-suited for both play and relaxation. There’s a park just a short walk away, perfect for regular walks and outdoor time for dogs. For cats, I create a quiet, cozy space where they can feel comfortable, explore safely, and enjoy plenty of affection (or alone time, if they prefer). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s home, I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine.

Christopher did a great job taking care of my two babies! One of my dogs was having a medical issue while I was gone and Christopher promptly notified me of his condition. He was willing to take him to the vet, if necessary. Fortunately, it wasn’t necessary and everything turned out ok. Then, my delayed flight caused a missed flight and Christopher was flexible and willing to stay longer to accommodate the situation. He was great with providing me with detailed updates on how they were doing each day I was gone. My dogs were well taken care of and happy when I got home. My house was left clean and he even put my garbage on the curb on trash pickup day. I would not hesitate to have Christopher take care of my fur babies in the future!

I can’t recommend Ellie enough! She took the absolute best care of my sweet Lola while I was away. ❤️ She sent me daily photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind and made it clear how loved and well cared for Lola was. It meant the world knowing she was in such good hands. I came home to a happy, healthy pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Thank you for treating Lola like one of your own!

We, and our two dogs (Barney and Bodie) were so lucky to have found Mackenna on Rover. It has been a busy summer for us, and Barney and Bodie, had never been away from their homes or their dad (me) for any long period of times. This summer has brought an engagement trip, family wedding trip, and unfortunately a family funeral trip. Mackenna stepped in and took exceptional care of Barney and Bodie. Barney is very senior (18 or 19yrs) and is now deaf and mostly blind. He understands his home, but nighttime is tougher for him, as he needs frequent potty breaks, and he is not as aware during the nights. Mackenna stayed at our home, she had no problem dealing with Barney's schedule or his special feeding routine, and plant supplements to be administered. She also took Bodie (8 yr old collie) on numerous walks, and provided what he needed so he was also comfortable while his dad(me) being away, and then, the trip was extended due to a family death. Mackenna saved the situation, saying she could stay longer, immediately given us peace of mind. She is so caring, trustworthy, and she loves animals. We are grateful for your kindness!!
We were hesitant at first for ANYONE to watch our girls since this was our first time using Rover. When we did a meet and greet, we wanted the girls to trust the person they would be seeing for a few days. We had our doggy cam and we saw how happy they would be with Elena at times playing and getting hugs. The pictures proved they enjoyed her presence and were being taken care of. We were happy with the effort and care she gave for our girls as a doggy lover and would book Elena again for future trips again.

Lillian was great! She came by for a successful meet and greet before the sit and was reliable throughout her time at my home. Lillian sent photos and updates so I knew Penny was well cared for. I'd recommend Lillian to others looking for a responsible and kind pet sitter.

Cassandra was specular, she communicated at every step. We left safe with her care and compassion towards our high needs fur babies. She cleaned up and the house was just like we left it. She texted about her departure and followed thru with attention to detail when leaving.

Maddie is so, so wonderful. She is so kind and caring and was so good with our rescue dog, Sarah. Sarah is fearful of new people and Maddie’s calm and kind energy really helped Sarah trust her. It’s very clear that Maddie loves dogs and has a ton of experience. She sent lots of pics and video while we were on vacation and we knew Sarah was in great hands. Thank you so much for everything, Maddie! We are so grateful. -Linda and Mark

Marlee is the best! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my little guy! She took exceptional care of him and really went above and beyond. Benji required medication and she was incredibly patient with him- making sure he took them without any stress. What really stood out to me was the extra care and thoughtfulness she showed. She even took him out for a walk in his stroller. It really gave me peace of mind that she was taking such good care of him.
Catherine was amazing! It was my first time leaving my 3 year old dog for over a day and it was an out of state trip. She made Willow feel so loved and happy while I was away and reassured me with updates and pictures daily. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Three Oaks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Three Oaks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Three Oaks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Three Oaks. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
