About: For more than 20 years, our life has been rooted in service and travel — first as a retired military family, and later as mission workers serving orphaned youth in the Dominican Republic. Through those experiences, home became especially meaningful to me. Some of the greatest joy in my life has come from raising my children, caring for our animals, and tending to our small homestead. Now that we are happily settled in Naples for good and my children are getting older, I have the opportunity to devote more time to caring for the homes and animals of others with the same love and attention I give my own. I am a homesteading and homeschooling Mom with older children, so my day is flexible with notice. I can do drop in visits to your home within a reasonable distance or stay over night keeping your pets comfortable in their own home as well. Because of the number of animals we already have on our little homestead, I’m only able to offer care for your fur-baby in your home.
“Cara is awesome! She did an overnight with my dog, effectively communicated and sent pictures throughout the stay. I felt my dog was in very good hands. Highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve always loved animals. My whole life I grew up with all kinds of pets: dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, turtles, hamsters etc. It has always been my dream to take care of animals! I originally began working in physical therapy as a PTA because we can get certified in canine physical therapy! I have yet to attend the required courses, but spending time with dogs and cats and taking care of them is just as good to me! I also have experience with elderly and diabetic dogs. I am available everyday throughout the week, and generally all hours of the day unless I am currently walking/taking care of another client’s pet. I check Rover daily so I will respond promptly! I will provide services in your home to ensure your dog is in a familiar environment and not anxious. I have a big dog at home, and while she is friendly, she never wants to stop playing! I will provide pictures of your pet after a walk or at the end of the day if I am pet sitting overnight.
“Ashley was absolutely wonderful! We have 2 dogs - an extremely shy 8lb, 1 year old cavapoo Aja, and an amiable Cavalier King Charles Sandy boy. Ashley house sat for us overnight and it was the first time a non family member took care of our fur babies. She was extremely respectful of the Cavapoo Aja and had great patience in getting her used to her. She sent numerous pictures and updates to our delight. The doggie care plans were followed exactly. We highly recommend Ashley and would not hesitate to hire her again.”

“Sean did a great job taking care of our girl Zella. He was very respectful of our home and communication was outstanding to make sure Zella was comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommend to others.”

“Victoria watched our two dogs for a long weekend and took wonderful care of them. She sent updates daily with photos and our dogs appeared to be quite comfortable! Our home was also very well maintained while she was here. Definitely keeping her on our list of sitters for future trips away!”

About: I have been taking care of pets for the past two years. I love all breeds of dogs from small to big. I have done housesitting, visits, and dog walks. I cannot wait to meet more dogs! Pet care works with me almost every day that I am in town. I can work most hours and find time for your dog. I have lots of extra time I would love to spend walking a dog outside. I can care for any pet in any way the owner wishes. This is an addition to playing and giving the animal my full attention.

About: Hi, I’m Ivanna. I have 6 years of pet sitting experience and own two German Shepherds. I’m comfortable with large, energetic dogs, understand routines and behavior, and provide reliable, attentive care. All breeds and sizes welcome! I’m currently enrolled in college, Mondays and Wednesdays I am not available 1-3:15 pm. Aside from that I’m available the remaining week days and weekend! For drop-ins and house sitting, I stick to your pet’s normal routine and follow all instructions. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and medications if needed. I make sure pets are safe, doors and gates are secure, and your home is respected. I send updates so you know how things are going.

About: Hi! I’m Candice, a lifelong animal lover and dog owner with years of experience caring for pets of my own, as well as helping friends and family with theirs. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether your pup needs a walk, drop-in visit, overnight care, or simply some extra companionship while you’re away, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience monitoring pets for health concerns and understand the importance of paying attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall well-being. Communication is important to me, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I live in a spacious home with a screened lanai and a large fenced yard, providing plenty of room for dogs to safely play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I do work full time. I am a salon consultant. I set my schedule. I am able to come before and after work and nights, weekends. I am able to do in-home to care for your pets. My family and I are in an apartment looking to buy a home. Eventually would like to pet sit in our home as well.
“Erick was amazing! This was the first time we had ever used this service and we were very happy with the result! He communicated everyday about our sweet pet and sent pictures. We highly recommend Erick!!”

About: Hello! I’m Kelby, a lifelong dog and cat lover with years of experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, and today I share my home with a Chihuahua, a Labrador, a cat, and three family cats. My pet care journey started in childhood walking neighbors’ dogs, helping friends with their pets, and pet sitting whenever someone needed a hand. By 18, I enrolled in Animal Behavior College and turned that my passion into a profession, becoming an ABCDT-certified trainer and pet care provider. I’ve now worked professionally with dogs and cats for over four years, and I especially love helping anxious, fearful, or reactive pets feel safe and understood. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and give them all the love and care they need. Pet care is part of my everyday life. Not only as a pet parent but also working professionally with dogs. My dogs and I love to go to the beach, parks, and anywhere we can find that’s fun to sniff! My schedule can be complex at times so please reach out for more information. Your pets safety always comes first. I will keep a close eye on your pet along with their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and happy in any situation. With my CPR and First Aid training, I’m prepared for emergencies, but my goal is always to prevent issues before they happen.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs, as much as four in a household! The largest being over 100 pounds and the smallest under 10! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and have learned to understand body language pretty well! A little over a year ago my family brought in a month old puppy that has now grown to be a malinois/shepherd/bully mix so I have experience with a work breed puppy as well! I am currently enrolled at FGCU, my classes start during the fall so I am a completely open book during the week and weekends for the rest of the summer! (Will update when I start my classes) I am used to staying at my clients homes, I feel it makes the animals more comfortable and the last thing they need is to stress! I usually ask for notes on how the pets are usually cared for and strictly follow those notes so I don’t disturb the animals mental clock!
“She was amazing watching our pups. We got pictures every single day and updates. She arrived on time and let us know. When she left. She cleaned up after herself. I would recommend her to anybody that's looking for in-house dog sitting. She is definitely reliable.”
“Amber was great to work with while she stayed in our home with our three dogs. She loved on them all weekend and we could tell the dogs were happy and much more comfortable at home than at a kennel.”

I currently have flexible availability and offer dog walking, drop-in visits for cats and dogs, and pet/house sitting. “Highly recommend Athena as your sitter! She is kind and thoughtful. Very responsible. She responded to my messages almost immediately every time I reached out and that was so important to me. My house was cleaner when I got home then before I left, lol… I will absolutely use her services again!!”

“Idania was very communicative and responsive. She stayed and took care of my husky, Luna while we were away for a family event. She let me know that Luna’s medications were given and sent pictures of her walks. Thanks again!!!”

Jennifer is the best Pet sitter I have ever met in my entire life! She stays in constant communication and loves on my pets as if they are her own children! She sends me videos, lets them sleep in the bed with her and treats them so well that I feel like they may not want me to come home because she is so good to them! Highly recommend Jennifer as she is truly caring and loving individual! Once you’ve had Jennifer, you won’t want any other Pet Sitter!

Isabella is excellent! She is very sweet and professional; you and your pup will be sure to feel comfortable right away. She went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations. I am grateful to have someone reliable that I can count on to stop in for a walk or stay at my home.

Ashley house sat for us overnight and it was the first time a non family member took care of our fur babies. Joanna is trustworthy, friendly, punctual but most noteworthy is that she treats and spoils your pet like her own. She sends pictures and updates and is very responsive. Her kind, calm spirit eased my anxious dog immediately. She is my go-to person for dog sitting.
Kat is wonderful. The best dog sitter ever! She stayed at my house for 12 days and took wonderful care of my 3 Jack Russell Terriers. When I came home they looked great and very happy. Additionally, Kat went above and beyond and cleaned the house and washed all the linens and towels which was very helpful to me. I highly recommend Kat and she will be my first call if I need help with the dogs in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Orangetree
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Orangetree on Rover is $77.7 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 773 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Orangetree. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Orangetree walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Orangetree maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Orangetree choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orangetree. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
