About: For more than 20 years, our life has been rooted in service and travel — first as a retired military family, and later as mission workers serving orphaned youth in the Dominican Republic. Through those experiences, home became especially meaningful to me. Some of the greatest joy in my life has come from raising my children, caring for our animals, and tending to our small homestead. Now that we are happily settled in Naples for good and my children are getting older, I have the opportunity to devote more time to caring for the homes and animals of others with the same love and attention I give my own. I am a homesteading and homeschooling Mom with older children, so my day is flexible with notice. I can do drop in visits to your home within a reasonable distance or stay over night keeping your pets comfortable in their own home as well. Because of the number of animals we already have on our little homestead, I’m only able to offer care for your fur-baby in your home.
“Ashley has been working with my boys now for a few weeks and always goes above and beyond. 😊 She’s always very communicative and passionate about her work. Highly recommend!”

“Cara is great to work with! Timely, communicates great, trustworthy! I didn’t worry about our house or kitties! Brought packages in and cleaned up cat messes which I greatly appreciate. Definitely will use Cara again!”

“Robert was very thorough and very reliable in his attentive care for our cats. He took the time to communicate clearly and provide photos after each visit. We are very pleased with Robert’s professionalism - he went above and beyond for us.”

About: I have consistently taken care of my family’s and friends pets since i was still in school. To this day, i still pet sit for my parents and my brother consistently watching dogs and cats. I even own chickens. I work on a 2-2-3 schedule in law enforcement. I plan on pet sitting during my days off, however if i am boarding your animals, i have a doggy door with access in and out of the house 24/7 I have a fenced in property on all four sides, with the property being an acre and a quarter. The dogs would have supervised access to outside as well as inside with water being accessible in multiple locations both inside and out
“Kaitlyn is fantastic with my pittie mix. He really loves her! There was excellent communication back and forth, she followed all the instructions for his meds, was respectful of my home, a genuine person and truly enjoys spending time with and caring for animals. Will definitely request her sitter services for my pup again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Orangetree
I can’t thank enough Ashley for taking care of our cat. I was supposed to take my cat with me but at the very last minute we changed our mind and Ashley accepted our request on such a short notice. She gave us updates for every visit and sent picture of our Gordo. Ashley is such a nice person, made me feel safe from the first time we met.

Kat was super communicative and went out of her way to ensure my three cats were well taken care of while I was out of town for a week. She asked detailed questions prior to accepting the job, which made me feel confident in the level of care that she would be providing.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orangetree. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
