“Finding Maggie was a Blessing! First time I have used Rover. Maggie made it easy and took great care of Jack. Jack has arthritis in his left hip and Maggie was accustomed to his condition. She was patient and kind and took the time to get to know Jack. She went over and beyond and I really appreciate Maggie for taking such good care of him.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10, and my passion for animals has only grown stronger over the years. As an Animal Biosciences major, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Last summer, I interned at a veterinary emergency clinic, gaining hands-on experience with medical care, administering medications, and handling animals in stressful situations. I currently work on a dairy farm, where I care for animals daily and have developed keen observational skills for health and behavior. I work with Guide Dog Foundation, training dogs where I bring them into my home and care for them. Additionally, I volunteer at a local animal shelter, supporting pets in need and learning more about diverse animal temperaments and care requirements. What sets me apart: * Experienced in administering medications and providing senior pet care * Skilled in puppy training and socialization * Calm, attentive, and able to handle emergencies with confidence * Passionate about animal welfare and creating a safe, loving environment Whether your pet needs medical attention, training, or just a caring companion, I’m dedicated to giving them the best care possible. Since I am currently working at a dairy farm over the summer, my hours are not consistent. I get my schedule at the end of the month for the next month, and it depends on that. During the school year, I am consistently available at the end of the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and creating a calm, familiar environment for your pet. I respect your home as I would my own, helping to keep things clean, secure, and stress-free. I bring a trained eye for detail and animal well-being. I stick to your pet’s routine, follow all feeding and medication instructions carefully, and pay close attention to behavior or health changes that might need attention. Here’s how I help pets feel safe and supported: * Follow all routines, feeding schedules, and house rules * Keep a calm, low-stress environment that pets are comfortable in * Administer medications safely and confidently when needed * Maintain a tidy, pet-safe space, especially litter areas and food zones * Provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing

About: I have had pets all my life both dogs and cats. I have raised both from birth, so I am well versed in what it takes to make sure your fur baby is taken care of while you are away. I work a 40 hour a week job but will ensure your fur babies are WELL taken care of while I am watching and providing for them. I am more than happy to come to your home and take excellent care of your fur baby. I know it is hard to trust others with your sweet baby, but I ensure you that I will take care of and love them like they are my own.

About: My whole life my family has had dogs. From the German Shepard-Dobermans we had when I was little to the Cavalier we had growing up. I work part time so I have plenty of free time, mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other weekend to pet sit any dogs. I'm reliable and I have experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. And I will take care of them like my own dogs.

“Ashley is very professional! I have used her a couple of times and she is always prompt in her response times, follows all care instructions and is overall a trusted care giver for our baby dog! I would recommend her highly for anyone looking for someone to take care of their doggie!!”

About: Over the years, I have had 10 regular canine clients, 4 cats, two birds and countless one-time and occasional ones. I have lived in Athens thirty-three years and currently serve on the executive board of the ARK and on an advisory board for Georgia United Credit Union. I was a (human) CPR/First Aid (American Red Cross and National Safety Council) instructor for 21 years and I have taken dog and cat first aid courses. Pet care, to me, means helping the owner have no worries while they are away. It means giving the best pet care possible. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs especially ones with arthritis and hip dysplasia. I have experience with dogs with fear aggression. I will always make sure your mail and packages are secured and make sure your trash can is rolled out / put back. I care for your home and pets the way I want mine cared for. For the time being I can only accept short term (up to two weeks) jobs— dog walking and drop-in visits. I have a maximum number of full time jobs currently. I am punctual by nature and a good person to ask on short notice. Available Mon-Fri and many weekends. Generally, I do not charge for cancellations. Life happens. So unless you live several miles away and I am already en route, it’s not a problem for me. My availability calendar is always accurate well into the future. My yard is not currently fenced, so I will always be with your dog when we are outside (there is a leash law in Clarke county). I get to know them so I can learn their nuances and personalities. I am affectionate with animals taking into consideration their comfort level. My wife is usually around to give extra affection.

“First time using Rover and I love it! Brooke was a wonderful fit for us! She clearly loves animals and I appreciate her care to my dog, Lizzie. Her communication was great with lots of pictures. Thank you!!”

They have a sense to them about peoples energies and I think they gravitate to mine. I am a independent contractor with complete control of my schedule. I am in and out of my house throughout the day so really we can work out whatever your needs are and I can plan around you I want your fur baby to feel as comfortable as possible while you are away. I will make sure they get plenty of exercise and play time with all the love and attention.

I was taught to leave a place better than how you found it. Wherever I go, I am a stickler for boundaries and mindful of staying within the parameters allotted. About: I have had dogs my whole life from Bullmastiffs to cocker spaniels ! I currently have two cocker spaniels who are crate trained and know basic commands such as sit, down, stay, wait (when door is open or to eat ), come, speak, dance and paw. I used to have a senior dog also so I know how they like to find a nice comfortable place to sleep all day. I’ve been taking care of pets since high school from daily walks to overnight sitting at clients house or mine. I’m comfortable with helping crate train, and teaching them how to not run out the door if it’s left open. I have dog sat 1-10 dogs at a time depending on the situation. I have also pet sit rats, cats and fish. I do not work Sunday-Tuesday and work mid morning to early afternoon with the flexibility to go home and check on the pets. I do like to go on longer walks/ hikes and am always open for a furry friend to join us ! When I’m home the dogs are free range and go out quite frequently and are taken on longer walks 2-3 times a day. I do NOT have a fenced in yard, my dogs tend to roam around the house always supervised. I also have an outdoor leash that covers a quarter of my yard. We have a dog pool for the hot days for dogs who love water and sunbathing ! I have plenty of space for pups and plenty of crates as well! I’m very open when it comes to going to clients homes. If you need me to water plants I can help, feed a fish? No problem ! Warm up the dogs food in the microwave ? I gotcha ! Please just let me know in the messages or in person all their needs and I’m here for you both !

Claire D.
“I'm Claire's mom so I know first hand how great she is with dogs! When she was born we had two loving German Shepard/Dobermans, Scout and Ranger, who were her constant companions. She learned how to be a good dog walker with these big dogs. Later our family grew to include Libby, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. From the time she was eight Claire was a central figure in Libby's life - walking her, making sure she was well taken care of and well loved. Claire is responsible, has a strong work ethic, a good bit of flexibility, and a heart for dogs.”

Alexis H.

“I just wanted to remind you of the following message: Can’t say enough about how great Alexis was with Azure :) This was the first time leaving Azure alone, and we were hesitant to have anyone new look after her. Alexis’s warmth and love of animals were apparent from our first meeting. She house-sat for one weeks and kept us in the loop about everything going on. She spoiled Azure rotten, and I know I will be asking her back if I ever need someone again. Do not have any hesitation in asking her to look after your pets. Triple A rating :) Awesome, Amazing, and Approachable!!”
