About: I have 9 years of experience caring for animals, including 7 years as a veterinary assistant. I have cared for dogs and cats of every age and personality, from energetic puppies and curious kittens to anxious rescues and gentle seniors. My approach is calm, patient, and loving. I move at each pet’s natural pace and focus on building trust through consistency and positive attention. I am not formally certified, but I have helped teach several dogs basic obedience and simple tricks through reward-based training. Every animal I care for receives the same warmth and attentiveness I gave my own beloved dog, and I always aim to create a safe and relaxing experience for them. I balance organizing and design projects, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to dedicate real, focused attention to each pet. Most days I’m available for morning, afternoon, or early-evening visits, and I can often accommodate weekend bookings. I plan my care commitments intentionally so every client receives dependable, unrushed attention. When caring for pets in their home, I keep their usual routines consistent so they feel safe and relaxed. Before visits, I always take time to understand your pet’s personality, comfort level, and any special needs. My background in veterinary care taught me how to handle animals gently and how to recognize subtle signs of stress, discomfort, or behavioral shifts. I’m calm, patient, and affectionate, always respecting each pet’s boundaries and pace. Your home and your pet will be treated with the same care and respect I’d give my own.

About: I grew up with pets since I was a baby. I have learned throughout the years how to care and love them differently. I currently own dogs, cats, chickens and birds which I love all so much. I love showing love and comfort to every animal that crosses my path! I would be very appreciative to make your pet feel more loved and comfortable than they already are. I’m working a part time which allows me to care for your pet more often than not. I am almost always available for your pet when needed. I have learned every dog/cat is different and have different needs. I am willing to learn new things. But I can safely put your pet in crates and give them their meds safely!

About: Hi! My name is Iyah, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. While I am new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for fur-babies!! I have loved animals of all kinds since I arrived on this earth! I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels through previous and current professional work experience at a dog and cat care/boarding business, along with caring for pets in my personal life as well. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, basic grooming care, administering medications when needed, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I also understand that every dog is different, so I always try to pay attention to their personality, routines, boundaries, body language and needs. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including anxious pets. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I always aim to provide reliable care, consistent communication, and lots of updates/photos for peace of mind. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed, I’ll make sure they receive patience, attention, love and genuine care. Your baby will be cared for and loved on as if they were my own. For me to be even more successful in what I do, I love all my clients to give me as much details about their babies as possible, I'm here to accommodate, support and make you and your pet-parent life as comfortable as possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! 🐾 I work two jobs, but my schedules aren't consistent. I'm open to taking care of your babies whenever I am off and whenever I do have free time. I would prefer coming to your home to care for your babies as I do still stay with family who are not as dog crazy and loving as me.

Lillie was wonderful! She walked Shenna three days in a row when I couldn't, and Shenna loved her -- was so excited at the door when Lillie arrived. We did hour-long walks that ended up being around 2.5 miles each day, and my girlie always arrived back home happy and tired. I will more than gladly do repeat bookings. Thanks so much, Lillie!

About: I’m a longtime cat owner and have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve cared for my own cats (Willow and Forest) and also helped care for a family’s dog while babysitting — feeding, walks/potty breaks, playtime, and keeping routines consistent. I’m detail-oriented, respectful of your home, and I communicate clearly with updates so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Hello! I’m currently attending university and majoring in journalism (public relations concentration) and marketing with a minor in psychology. I’m currently on summer break so my availability is open but it will change once I start classes again in mid August. My care style is routine-based and body-language focused. I don’t force interaction; I let pets settle in and I build trust first, especially with cats. I provide attention and affection when they want it, and I watch closely for cues (hunger, stress, overstimulation, fatigue). I follow all instructions precisely such as feeding, fresh water, litter maintenance, walks/potty breaks, play/enrichment, and any special notes. I keep things calm, clean, and consistent, and I send updates/photos so you’re never guessing.

About: Hi, pet parents! I understand first-hand how difficult it is to find someone you trust to come into your home to take care of your babies. I have 4 years of pet sitting experience with cats and dogs, and I have two cats of my own at home. I am a loving, reliable, and experienced pet sitter providing daily walks, playful cuddles, feeding, and updates. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort will always come first! I am currently working part-time (3 days a week ish), so I would have plenty of time to dedicate to your animals! I am looking to find a family I connect with to be their go-to sitter! It is so important for animals to keep their environment the same when their very favorite people are gone. My main focus would be to keep their routine exactly how they are used to and give them extra snuggles and playtime! I can also send picture/video updates so you feel connected and confident while you are away!

About: I have personal and professional experience with watching dogs and I’m a huge animal lover. My rates are low because I’m just starting out on Rover, I’ve only done pet sitting for family and friends. I have a very energetic 2 year old who I spend a lot of time outside with, so they’ll get plenty of playtime. I have lots of time for playing or walking while we’re outside. And during nap times we all get to take a break inside for a couple hours to snooze 💤 I take my dog/s on a walk 2x a day and a few hours for supervised free play, on 1 acre of unfenced yard. Plenty of toys and treats can be provided and no bed or sofa is off limits to any fur baby.

About: I know how to give injections. My dog has diabetes and needs insulin shots twice a day. I am gentle, patient and enthusiastic about taking care of animals and keeping parents feeling secure. I work with pet parents to figure out what works best for all of us. I am generally unavailable for consistent pet care, and rather pick up jobs whenever it is convenient. I am happy to stay alongside your pet as long as needed, clean up, refill food and water, groom, walk and play. I understand every pet is different and plan to meet your specific expectations.

About: I’ve had 3 dogs in my life growing up, which have all been loved and cared for. In the past couple of years have friends and family asked to take care of their pets. Usually consists of walks and simple drop ins to make sure they are doing well and fed. Most animals that I sit for are dogs. I do love and adore cats, and would love to gain more experience caring for them. I currently work a part-time job, in which i have days in the week i am completely free to take care of your pets! I love going to the park or simply go on walks during my free time. I currently don’t have any other pets which won’t impact the care for your pets. I live with people who also care a lot about animals. I will be able to adapt and understand the environment a dog comes from and accommodate to that.

About: *Update: In regards to the new weekly feature, I can only do so in YOUR home. I am a cat person but I also love dogs. I'm an equal opportunist lol . I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
